An excellent property

  • 5 of 5

Our family stayed here for 4 nights in late December, 2016. This was the best property we have stayed at in quite some time. The unit is quite spacious with spectacular furnishings. The heating in the unit was perfect. The only cold spot in the unit was right by the front door, but that's somewhat expected. The kitchen was very well stocked, with pots, pans, utensils, and even a crock pot. There was also a wide assortment of spices and condiments, including two bottles of ketchup in the refrigerator.

I only have two issues with this unit: (1) The washer/dryer are quite noisy, so don't plan on using them while you're trying to sleep. (2) There was a pizza box in the refrigerator with a couple of slices of pizza, probably left over from the previous occupants. I appreciate a well stocked unit, but this was a bit over the top.

Owner's Response: So glad you enjoyed your stay! My apologies on the was from one of the best pizza places in town, Mazzola's and I had left it for our housekeeper but forgot to tell her. She normally checks and cleans the frig but she must have missed it this time. Hope to see you again soon. 3 feet of snow since you left. Take care! Jenni

Spacious, comfortable, and perfectly located

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3-night stay in this condo over the 4th of July holiday. There was plenty of space for all of us (4 adults and 3 small kids!) and we felt right at home. The kitchen was impressively well-stocked with all the supplies we needed to make our own meals, and there's a grocery store a few blocks away.

If your trip to steamboat involves primarily downtown activities, then you cannot beat the location. It's a block of the main street (Lincoln), right across the street from the river, and just steps to countless restaurants, bars, shops, etc. The caveat is of course the noise factor... we slept with our windows open and were woken all 3 nights by people wandering home from bars, and very early one morning by the garbage trucks. This is to be expected when you're right downtown, but something to consider if you're looking for peace and quiet.

Jenni was a great host; very reachable and responsive when we contacted her with questions. She was also accommodating in our request for early check-in, and understanding when we had an unexpected late check out. Highly recommend and would love to stay here again!

Great location, good value

  • 4 of 5

In Steamboat Springs for a North American Rock Garden Assoc. annual conference. The location was terrific for getting to and from the conference site, for local restaurants, and access to field trip sites and local recreational opportunities. The condo itself was clean (amazing, considering the street construction practically right outside the door), comfortable, and for the most part, quiet. Separate dressing room in the master suite was a definite plus -- somewhere to partially unpack luggage and corral the gear. Reserved parking within the condo complex was much appreciated! Owner responded to e-mail questions quickly, although it would have been good to know about the road construction ahead of time.

However, it lacked some amenities to be truly considered "luxury" -- bed linens were not sized right for the bed and were nearly worn out; towels were nice and ample, but we expected more than just Dial liquid soap in the bathroom. The air conditioning was fine in the living areas, but the air circulation does not reach the bedrooms. Ceiling or floor fans in both bedrooms would be helpful. Also, aside from toilet paper, no other paper products (tissues, paper towels) were provided, nor anything for food storage in the kitchen (waxed paper, aluminum foil, plastic wrap, plastic bags); no laundry soap. This would not have been a problem if guests were advised ahead of time to bring these items.

Would definitely consider this condo again for a future trip -- it would not require much improvement to go from good to great!
