Recently renovated farmhouse in a peaceful and relaxing environment, away from traffic although easy to reach by paved road, includes two units with two bedrooms, kitchen, living and bathroom and a house with three double bed rooms, two bathrooms, large kitchen and large living room with fireplace. Can be rented separately. Plenty of outdoor activities, close to the railroad to Lucca and Pisa, bikes can be taken on the train for a hassle free visit. ENVIRONMENT FRIENDLY PLACE - We like to take care of the environment for your well being: 1- The farm is certified for organic farming. No Pesticides are used 2- Horse stables are sanitized with natural enzymes 3- Swimming pool is sanitized with marine salt equipment - No chlorine 4- Hot water is produced with solar panels 5- Electricity is produced with photovoltaic pane

Golf course: There is a six holes golf course within 10 minutes drive.

Horse back riding: There are on the premises stables and horses for riding lessons and trekking. A certified technician is available.

Ground floor apartment or first floor apartment both about 60 sq mt. Comprises two double bed rooms, one bathroom with shower, living room with kitchen equipped with refrigerator, gas burners, oven. Cold and hot running water and central heating. Additional sleeping place in a couch or in folding bed in the rooms. Restored with traditional materials (stone, cotto tiles, chestnut wood floors and craftsmen furniture) and completely furnished and equipped with bed and bathroom linen and kitchen ware.

Location is perfect for those looking for a relaxing and peaceful holiday. Highly recommended. Situated on a hill-side, overlooking the valley and the mountains in the distance. Castagni is a beautifully decorated holiday home, clean, light and airy and maintained to a very high standard. It quickly becomes home with everything you need in the kitchen to prepare your own meals or, if you don't want to cook, there is a vast selection of restaurants in the nearby main town, catering for a variety of tastes and budgets! Italians like to eat with all the family! Local supermarkets are extremely well-stocked, providing everything you could possibly need. The swimming pool on site is at the bottom of the hill and not near the property; this is great because you can't hear the noise from it. Facilities around the pool were wonderful with plenty of lounges and sun brollies and even table-tennis! The 'alternative' cleaning methods of the pool took a little getting use to but definitely did not stop anyone from having an excellent time (maybe remember to bring goggles). A car is an absolute must to get around but it allows you to really explore the area; for the adventurous types there is a centre for climbing through trees. No previous experience needed, staff are excellent, speaking several different languages amongst them, highly professional and of course safety conscious. Pisa is an hour by train if you don't fancy driving. The railway station in the main town is easy to find and park at. If your Italian needs something to be desired, write down where and when you want to go, how many tickets (phrase book is really handy here) and take it to the cafe in the station - they sell the tickets for the train! Advise you book the Tower before leaving home to avoid queueing and waiting for a time slot. For those who love horses there are stables on the same site as the accommodation so you can always go out for a ride. Staff who run this side are limited in their English but with a little help from the owner of this home, a ride was booked! The owners are genuinely friendly and will do all they can to help with anything; their English is perfect and so getting advise from them about local places is an absolute bonus. The warmness of their hospitality is without doubt a contributing factor in why this holiday home is so highly recommended. The ball we purposely left behind is a testament to our return. We look forward to seeing friends again soon.

Un havre de paix en campagne Toscane ! Que du bonheur

Un havre de paix !! Le logement typique des maisons toscanes est parfait pour une famille de 4 à 5 personnes. Très bien équipé, très propre. Bref, on s y sent bien.... Nous avons apprécié le calme, le paysage arboré (lors de notre arrivée , nous avons croisés les silhouettes d un faon et d'une biche en lisière du bois qui jouxte la maison). Merci pour l accueil ( nous avons aimé la compote de pommes et le cidre). Nous conseillons vivement cet endroit charmant et reposant . Un véhicule est indispensable .
