'My wife, mom, two sons, and nephew all spent a week here in June and had the most wonderful time. I will surely want to stay here again. The process was smooth and the owners answered all our questions upfront and in a timely fashion. The accommodations were very comfortable and we settled in easily. My mother was so grateful to have a nice big bedroom to sleep in and privacy on the patio to relax and read. Over all this place is very nicely located, has plenty of room, is private, and feels like home almost right away. I can surely see this being our 'homeaway' in Santa Fe.'

Attractive, colorfully-decorated two bedroom, two bath home with central air conditioning within walking distance of the Plaza. This home is situated to take full advantage of outdoor living. There is a large patio which wraps completely around from the dining room to the bedrooms. Our home is next to an acre of green belt giving a feeling of wilderness and privacy.

The Chef's kitchen is fully equipped, including an under-counter wine cooler, and adjacent sunny (South facing) breakfast room.

There are two large bedrooms (both with TVs and King beds) on the main floor, both have sliding glass doors leading to a secluded patio area to enjoy your morning coffee. The den / office, on a lower floor (with two twin beds) is the perfect 'entertainment' center, with TV/DVD, high speed cable internet connection, with both direct connection to your computer or wireless.

The main living room, with kiva fireplace, faces South with great views of the Sandia, Ortiz and Cerrillos mountains and at night, a city lights view.

There is a retractable awning on the front balcony which provides day-time shade. The lucky people who are here during the Zozobra festival in September will have a birds eye view of the fireworks and burning of old man gloom in Fort Marcy Park, just down the hill.

The overall setting of our home, like the newly-refurbished decor, is very Santa Fean; with dirt roads, no street lights and little or no traffic, yet within 0.7 miles from the North edge of the Plaza. There is a two car garage, with additional parking.

About Robert

My husband and I starting coming to Santa Fe several years ago to attend the summer opera performances. One thing lead to another and soon we were looking at real estate to get a permanent foothold on Santa Fe. We were lucky to find a place in a great location and have been spending more and more time in Santa Fe. We love to share our home and hope that others will enjoy it as much as we do.

Why Robert chose Santa Fe

Our home is located on the North edge of Fort Marcy Park and is less than a mile from the plaza. It is in a private area with no traffic and the setting is very Santa Fean with unpaved streets and no street lights. It is very quiet and peaceful and yet it is very close to the plaza and Canyon Road.

Wonderful place to spend Christmas!

Our Arizona family including dogs spent a wonderful Christmas here this year. Close to The Plaza, ski area, and all the restaurants that make a winter visit to SantaFe so special. The house was clean, comfortable, and well appointed for our stay.

Excellent for the price

We were in Santa Fe for the opera festival. This is the first time we have rented during our stay. This house was very well represented on the website. The view from the patio looks more expansive than it is, but there is no need for it to be any different. I wish the owners would emphasize that they are a very walkable mile from downtown.

Also, that the day beds (which are twin beds) are downstairs in their own space.

Very clean and well-maintained.

We have stayed in homes owned by the Regers several times. Never, have we been disappointed. Our stay at Casa Serena was for the month of July. This home is perfect for visiting Santa Fe. It is close enough for a walk to the Plaza. Also in a quiet neighborhood and convenient to an Albertsons Grocery, Sprouts, CVS, etc. Casa Serena has everything that one could need, just like home. Santa Fe has many places to eat, however, we did most of our own cooking and just enjoyed easy meals, a glass of wine and the lovely New Mexico sunsets. We highly recommend a stay in this lovely home, and seeing as much of the area as possible. It is a convenient place to make lots of day trips, and then come back to Casa Serena and rest. The Regers are great folks to rent from.
