Contemporary houseboat in the heart of a natural setting

A very unusual and quirky place to stay. Modern, sophisticated and spotlessly clean. We had super weather which allowed to utilise the upper deck for relaxing , eating and watching river life. We used it as a base for day trips to Paris . It's worth driving to the station as takes 5 minutes and there is free parking , and the car is appreciated after a long day sightseeing to save a 20 minute walk with slow young children! If you like to cook , it's worth being aware that there is no oven , just a hob and microwave. The barge is very spacious and I can strongly recommend this experience .

The boat is very clean and bright with great views of house dotted green hills. We really enjoyed watching the boats drive past. Unfortunately it rained for our whole stay and we didn't get to enjoy the upper patio deck. It looked very inviting however. The owners are very nice and accommodating, and there are several delicious restaurants in the nearby towns. I highly recommend staying here.

Great houseboat that is absoutely true to the photos in the ad. We spent two weeks there (two adults, two teenagers) and didn't miss a thing. The hosts are very discreet yet always available for advice or assistance. When the stove stopped working it was repaired in no time although it was a Sunday morning - thanks again for your immediate help! On our arrival there were fresh flowers from the family's garden in the flat; fresh vegetables are available on Sundays. Great terrace on the top deck, perfect for having meals, relaxing, watching the boats and waterfowl go by and even fishing. Excellent starting point for trips to many sights (for example Giverny, Malmaison, Versailles, "zoo safari" in Thoiry) and close to Paris (five minutes to the train station, 30 minutes to Gare Saint-Lazare, five minutes to Rue Auber where the hop-on-hop-off bus tours start). Supermarkets nearby, very nice market in Poissy (15 minutes by car). Brochures and information on what to do were provided. A fantastic place to come home to after a day out! Air-conditioned which was perfect as we were there during a very hot period of time. Highly recommended! Thank you for a holiday to remember!

Das Hausboot ist super ausgestattet. Alle benötigten Gegenstände sind vorhanden. Parkplätze vor dem Boot sind da. Der Bahnhof für eine Tagestour nach Paris ist mit dem Auto in 5 Minuten zu erreichen. Von dort aus ist man schnell in Paris.
