About the property

Casa Piccola - a cosy apartment with an abundance light in an earlier portico

Casa Antonietto - Casa Piccola lovely holiday house in Italy.

Casa Antonietto is an old, but newly restored house made of stones. The oldest part of the house dates back to the 1600s . The restoration was thorough with many of the architectural details preserved. Since the house is situated on a hill it has many different levels which adds to its true charm.

Casa Antonietto consists of three buildings. In the largest structure are rooms used for courses, retreats or meetings. Of the two guesthouses, CASA GRANDE is the larger, with three double bedrooms and CASA PICCOLA with one.

The house stands right outside the small village of Coscogno in the midst of a panoramic view of beautiful nature. It is 35 kilometers south of Modena and 50 kilometers from Bologna and its airport. There are lots of exciting trips possible in the area.

There is a unique and special peace around Casa Antonietto which gives wonderful possibilities for relaxing and reflecting. It creates perfect conditions for a holiday with time for absorption, mindfulness and yoga.

Casa Antonietto is in the Emilian hills 50 kilmeters north of Tuscany in Emilia Romagna. It is a part of 'The true Italy' better known as the 'Italian breadbasket'. Do you want to experience Italian culture - the opera in Verona - nature - gastronomy and wine ? If so, then you have hit the target. It is a wealthy region - they produce such tings as quarry tiles, Lamborghini, Ferrari, balsamic vinegar, Parma ham (prosciutto) and the Parmesan cheese.

I live here and would love to guide you when you want.

If you need an active holiday there are many well marked trails for both walking and biking starting right outside the house. Also many good places to play golf. If you feel like drawing or painting there is space in the studio, in the garden, in the forest or down by the river. The rolling hills on the other side of the valley are always a suitable subject for painting or drawing, no matter the time of year.

If you feel like becoming absorbed in Italian cooking we have good contacts with local producers. It is possible to visit and watch the production of Parmesan cheese, balsamic vinegar and Lambrusco wine .. all originated in our area. We also know very good and reasonable restaurants where you may have Sunday lunch with the locals.

Our place is very suitable for a family holiday of several generations who want to spend time together.

Casa Antonietto is also the perfect setting for strategy meetings, small courses or retreats.

CASA PICCOLA is a beautiful little apartment in Italy with a fantastic mountain views.

The little guesthouse/apartment is built on top of the earlier portico.

A small and cosy apartment with an abundance light - the great window section faces west. The larger house blocks direct sun, so it is not too hot inside, even without shutters.

Livingroom with a dining table and a central fireplace.

There is room for 2 people in the dobbeltbed on the first floor.

It is possible to make an extra bed for a child.

The kitchen is open, with acces to the garden and a cosy covered portico.

There is easy access to Casa Antonietto´s own pizza oven.

Large and beautiful bathroom with a hairdryer.

In the kitchen there is a gas stovetop combined with a convection oven and also a small refrigerator.

There is also access to the laundry room where you can wash whenever you wish.

It is of course allowed to use the several large and small terraces around the house and on the common grounds.

The many sunny spots, shady hideaways, barbecue, pizza oven and art studio may be used by all guest.

There are internet access Wi-Fi if you want.

About Lisbeth Myrfeld

I live in another house on the property and so am available to greet my guests and help them (if they want me to) so they can enjoy their holiday. I am happy give advice on places to see and nearby restaurants and shops to visit.

Lisbeth Myrfeld purchased this apartment in 2006

Why Lisbeth Myrfeld chose Pavullo nel Frignano

The house is an old stone house, but beautifully and completely renovated with all the latest household appliances. The internal walls are white and it has a Scandinavian feel with timber beams giving it that farmhouse origin. It is comfortable and yet architectural designed at the same time.

What makes this apartment unique

The house is set amongst the gentle rolling hills, and the views are to die for, with the trees and the vines and the valley below visible wherever you look. So even the BBQ looks across the valley below.

Sommer, Sol og masser af oplevelser

  • 5 of 5

Amazing and Tranquil

  • 5 of 5

I stayed at Casa Piccola last Summer and it was one of the best experiences of my life! Lisbeth is an amazing host, and I was lucky enough to have been able to extend my stay because I just wasn't ready to leave. She has taken such great care with everything from the fully stocked kitchen to the comfortable beds. If you need something, she has it. The property is so beautiful with her small vineyard, nearby hiking trails and lovely pool overlooking the gorgeous Italian rolling mountainous hills....I'm only scratching the surface here! I loved it so much I am returning shortly with my Mom and Sister because this place is WAY too special to keep to myself. Lisbeth, may I return every year please?!?!?! :)

Hidden Gem in the Italian Countryside

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I had an incredible stay at this property! Lisbeth is a wonderful host and was very helpful with local site seeing and restaurant recommendations. She was accessible if we needed her but also respected our privacy. The 1 bedroom unit was cozy yet very comfortable, extremely clean, comfortable bed and the unit is stocked with all the necessary amenities to make a relaxing and memorable vacation. The wall of windows offers the most gorgeous views of the hillside from both the loft and the main floor. We highly recommend booking a meal with Lisbeth to taste Italian and local specialties.

Over the years, my husband and I have traveled to various areas of Italy and stayed at many properties. This has been not only our favourite area of Italy to visit (outstanding food, beautiful countryside, a nice balance of things to do and peaceful setting) but our favourite place to stay. We look forward to returning again in the future and will stay for at least a week.

Great Stay - Beautiful Area - Wonderful Host

  • 5 of 5

We had such a great time staying here. Lisbeth was a perfect host, greeting us with a perfect meal on the first night, having wonderful suggestions for food and shopping. She set us up with reservations and took us to a local parmesan maker, which was incredible. The house we stayed at is behind hers. It is perfectly redone, with everything upgraded and comfortable. We utilized the outdoor grill twice. The pool is small, but refreshing, and a rarity in Emilia-Romagna. We could not have asked for a better place or stay.

Forget aboutToscane. Go to Emilia Romagna!

  • 4 of 5

This lovely house, with great views on the surrounding landscape, is in the middle of a culinay paradise. The house is newly built, is very clean and has all the necessary facilities.

The area is very quiet, there are hardly any tourists, and Bologna and Modena are at close distance.

If you are afraid of speaking Italian, don't worry, the landlady speaks good English and is a perfect hostess. She can recommend various excellent restaurants in the neighbourhood.

We would not hesitate to go there again next year.

Excellent Country Escape

  • 5 of 5

We had an excellent experience with Lisbeth and this property. From the welcome dinner that consisted of local, homemade bread, cheese, wine, jams, proscuittos, salads and wine, to her attention to every question and request - top notch all the way.

The apartment was well appointed and recently refurbished with modern appliances, fixtures and furnishings. Great bathroom/shower, kitchen, and bed - not all easy to find when traveling! The view was stunning and really added to the peaceful nature of our 3 days.

The location is a bit away from the big attractions (Bologna, Modena, Parma), but close enough that you get a great glimpse of the country on your way. It's a great escape from the frantic nature of the bigger cities.

Lisbeth also has a larger apartment on the grounds with multiple bed/bath. We got to know the other guests and actually shared a dinner in a recommended restaurant one evening - quite delightful!

We highly recommend this property!
