Spacious 2 Bed Flat With Huge Lounge

This modern apartment is very spacious and has been fully redecorated to a very high standard. It is ideal for a family holiday or short break. All windows are double or triple glazed for peace and quiet. There are two bedrooms with a double and two single beds (which can be pushed together to make another double) there is also a sofa bed for an additional guest if required. Huge lounge - dining room with big satellite TV. Fitted large kitchen/breakfast room with washing machine and dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave and hob. Separate toilet and bathroom with power shower. Ample storage space for cases and kit. Free WiFi using the fishing tackle shop below BT Infinity business hub (which is very fast about 50MB). Parking is not allowed in the courtyard behind the apartment except for unloading and access is very tricky through a very tight Old Town archway - for modest cars only. There are plenty of public car parks within easy walking distance.

Basic provisions (bread, milk tea coffee sugar etc.) will be provided initially. There are several shops nearby for essentials and several supermarkets in town.

I moved to Hastings in 2005 when I bought the tackle shop below the flat. Previous to this I was a scientist with many years experience in the fine chemical industry and biomedical research.

The flat became available in late 2013 and was a natural fit being very handily located and ideally spacious for holiday letting. After extensive redecoration it is now a very comfortable holiday base.

The very large lounge with its big windows give a real feel of space and light. Very easy access to all the bars and restaurants of the lively Old Town.

Spacious well equipped flat in the old town. The landlord was very helpful and friendly.

We stayed for two nights. Good access to the old town which was buzzing. Unfortunately our second night was disturbed by inconsiderate neighbours talking loudly and thumping about at three o'clock in the morning.

Spacious, good beds, nearby town centre

We stayed here for four nights and it was excellent. The apartment was spacious, we had enough room for the five of us. Only our oldest slept with us, in our bed, because he didn't care much for the cauch to sleep on. The owner is very nice! He left us bread, butter, milk and some fruit :) If I would go to Hastings again, I would go to the same apartment. Only it's more suitable for four persons than five persons. But that's probably because our son is a bit picky about a bed.

Lovely central apartment

Thank you Martyn, the apartment exceeded our expectations. It was warm, clean, big (bigger than our apartment in London!!!) & well stocked. The little things were thought of dishwasher tablets, tea, coffee with milk & bread bought for us, lots of towels and bedding. It wasn't too far from the train station & easy to find. Martyn was helpful & thoughtful as stored our bags for us after we checked out but had to wait for our train. We wouldn't hesitate to book again as had such a lovely weekend

Brilliant location!

Thank you Martyn, your apartment was in a fab location! It was very spacious and well equipped. It was lovely to not have to think about bringing towels, bed linen, tea towels etc and a treat to have the dishwasher with tablets provided!

We used the sofa bed which was ripped when we unfolded it - but was perfectly adequate when made up with the spare bedding.

A lovely touch to provide bread, milk, butter, tea and coffee.

We parked in Rock o Nore car park for £3.20 for 24 hours- just a short walk ( 2mins) from the apartment.

We will definitely look you up next time we're thinking of a seaside break.

The modern apartment is in the heart of the Old Town in Hastings and ideally situated for the beach (400m) and the many surrounding attractions. The very lively Old Town is full of character and old buildings (the neighbouring house is the Old Courthouse and is the oldest in Hastings dating from the 15th century) with many quirky shops and antique shops in the little lanes. The TV series Foyle's War was filmed all round the Old Town. There are many very good restaurants and pubs along with the finest fish and chips in the country. Regular big events are the Old Town Carnival Week at the beginning of August, May bank holiday Jack in the Green festival, Motor bike rally (May bank holiday - which attracted an estimated 100,000 people in 2014!). Beach bonfire (October). Pirates day (20 July 2014) - Hastings is the current world record holder for most people dressed as pirates (over 14000!). Hastings is also one of the sunniest towns in the country with our close neighbour Eastbourne the sunniest.

The fishing harbour has the largest beach launched fleet in the country with many fresh fish outlets and the unique iconic Hastings Net Huts. The Sea life Centre, Fisherman's museum, Lifeboat Station and New Jerwood art gallery are all within 500m. If you want to go fishing the tackle shop is below!

Further afield Battle is just 10 miles away, visit the Abbey and 1066 battlefield. Eastbourne is about 20 miles west and Tunbridge Well and the Kent Weald is about 30miles north. Dover is an hours drive away if you fancy a day trip to France.
