Please email or call for discounted rates! This bright, beautiful European-design Penthouse Condo will make Big Boulder Lake part of your living room. Even from the upstairs Jacuzzi, the lake is viewed from the windows that reach up to a cathedral ceiling. Privacy is built in with the angle of the building, which places you nearly “in” the lake.
Unlike many other accommodations in the Pocono’s, this retreat is air-conditioned and has an updated kitchen with dishwasher and washer/dryer combo. There is plenty of room for the family.
Two bedrooms downstairs each have a full bath. One has two full beds, the other a king. The loft contains a sitting area with TV; two twin beds; and a bonus room with a queen-size bed; as well as a Jacuzzi room and full-bath. The kids can play games while waiting for dinner. Listen to your favorite CD in the living room while conversing with the cook, or watch TV. The gas grill on the deck will keep the mealtimes simple.
Step out onto the deck to feel nature and immerse yourself in it. Deer and ducks and chipmunks will entertain you, and sailboats and kayaks will add to your view. Throw a fishing line into the stocked lake. The heated pool for summertime use is viewable from your deck as well. In season enjoy the hot tub there while watching the picturesque lake and mountains. You will feel as though you have been transplanted. Also in summer, there are 2 beach areas and another pool and with a restaurant within a short walking distance. At this Lake Club, you can rent boats, sit on the beach, or fish.
Many restaurants as well as golf, miniature golf, bowling, a movie theater, paint-ball, Traxx Motorsports, and whitewater rafting , are only a hop, skip, and a jump away. Visit our website (link below) to get information on attractions, shopping and the Festivals—Celtic, Blues, Wine, Arts and Crafts. The Big Boulder ski slopes or tubing slopes are across the lake. The ski slopes can be viewed from the deck or parking lot. Jack Frost is another ski area minutes away.
We are both from Philadelphia, PA. Tom is a retired Philadelphia Police Officer, and I am a retired Philadelphia school teacher. We bought 'The View' to have a place to go for peace and quiet and it has since also become a place to hang out with our grandchildren. When we want to be active there are a host of activities at our disposal. We take pride in constantly upgrading our condo and our guests are usually pleasantly surprised to find something new at each return visit.
Thomas Eldred purchased this condo in 2003
We have had a home in the poconos for many years, but we wanted a place on the lake, and when we walked into this condo we fell in love with that fabulous view.
While staying at Mid-lake there are so many activities close by such as restaurants, skiing, the H2O Water Park, and of course the exclusive Mid Lake pool and the pools and boats, tennis and playground at the Lake Club.
There are many fun and unique experiences to enjoy in the Poconos & in the Lake Harmony area! There are 2 State Parks to visit, fishing, horseback riding, tubing, golf and much, much more. If wanting to stay local, there is more than enough to do and enjoy right within Big Boulder Resort and the few miles surrounding the resort! The Galleria which offers a movie theater, glow in the dark bowling, large arcade, coffee shop, restaurant, and pizzeria. There are quite a few local restaurants as well that offer live bands, quizzo.. both causal dining and a more formal dinner can be found as well. Come and enjoy this wonderful area with so many options!
The owners are incredibly helpful and friendly, and the place comes with ALL the amenities you could possibly want. It is on the top floor, so not recommended for persons with disabilities.
Else that, it's truly fantastic:
- a great view of the lake
- very clean
- a quiet location (we were there in the fall/off-season)
- great rates
- good nearby restaurants (reservations are good, even in the fall!)
- great owners
We did have to drive a ways to rent a boat. The nearby paintball is NOT for the amateur. The stores and shops do close early, and getting beer/wine/liquor proves tricky (separate stores, couldn't actually find liquor - PA people would be used to that, though, I'm sure).
Tom, the owner was very accommodating &responsive from the beginning. He took the time to answer all of my questions & concerns. And when the initial dates we wanted the condo for was booked, Tom was able to squeezed us in for a reasonable rate.
The condo is very clean & tastefully decorated. It has 3 bedrooms& baths & 2 additional beds on the upstairs loft; it can accommodate a large group. Since there were only 4 of us, we stayed on the main-floor.
As indicated by its name, the "View" offers a beautiful & expansive view of the lake from the balcony. There is a pool just steps away & a small beach area (of the lake)further down the complex. Our kids loved the pool so we didn't stay on the beach.
Overall, we had a great stay. Thank you, Tom
My wife and I booked a last minute vacation for our family and we couldn't have been more pleased. The condo was plenty spacious for us as well as our 4 kids (3 teens and an grade schooler). The views from the deck both during the day and at night are awesome. Place had everything we needed in the kitchen as well as a grill out on the deck. The pool on the property is fantastic we spent a lot of time down there. It was very relaxing and enjoyable, we would definitely do it again.
Stayed here for 4 days 3 nights at the beginning of November. Nice clean, updated condo with a great view of the lake. Close to great restaurants, Indoor water park, and Hickory Run State Park,. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommend this place.
We stayed at this beautiful town home the same time last year and could not believe how beautifully decorated , clean and comfortable we were . The View as it is aptly named is awesome.
Beyond that, I am so grateful to Tom because he has gone beyond the call of duty as a landlord.
This year we were booked to go and through life events, could not make it and had to cancell at last minute.
Not only did Tom promptly return my security deposit , but went above and beyond, by making some calls, and renting it out so that we could recoup some money paid. AND, he sent me a hand written note , hoping for us to come back again in the future. As far as I'm concerned, he and Alice , along with this fantastic "home away from home" are top shelf!
The penthouse is beautiful and has everything you may need for your vacation! The property is clean, well-maintained and Tom (the owner) provided excellent customer service. This was our first visit to Pocono. We had a great time and enjoyed every moment there! Everybody in our family, including 3 kids and grandparents had a lot of fun in a pool, Jacuzzi, at the beach, or on a lake fishing! We definitely would recommend this property to a friend or relative! Thank you!
