We are Don and Holly Smith. We could not enjoy Hansville and the beautiful area where we live more than we do. It is our pleasure to share our lovely home with others. We look forward to meeting our guests and being available to do all we can to make their stay in our home memorable.
Holly Smith purchased this house in 1992
Phenomenal views of Puget Sound and the mountains... steps from your own private beach... this home is truly special.
The wedding of our son and his girlfriend brought together 10 members of our two families for nearly a week; the Hansville house was an exceptional fit for our needs. The bride and groom had the elegant master suite on the top floor and the other four couples each had their own space. The chef's kitchen accommodated a real professional chef who catered the wedding. The magical moment itself occurred on the beach, down a short path from the house, while the generous lawn allowed easy placement of tables and seating for more than 60, as well as a buffet and bar area. We spent many enjoyable hours soaking in the fabulous views of the Olympics to our west and Mt. Rainier to our east from the spacious deck. The home is comfortable, super clean, and thoughtfully decorated. Holly Smith was a delightful and helpful host. For nearly a year, she answered myriad questions about how to organize a wedding from afar and she connected us with reliable vendors and local providers. We were in heaven during our six days there and all 10 of us agreed that it would be the perfect location for another family get together. Thank you, Holly!
Holly's house was a prefer fit for our family and friends of 11adults and 2 grands, ages from 4 to 75 years young (young at heart that is!). The clean and neat beautiful 4 and so bedrooms, and 3 and half bath rooms with 2 living rooms, 2 dinning rooms, spacious all equipped kitchen, has plenty of rooms for all desires concerned .... Not to mention the awesome 180 degree of Puget Sound view, sun deck, and beach front full of up to 7 inches big "Horse Clams" at -2.2 tide table (with proper fishing licenses)! Since we are the "Sea Hunt" gang, we managed to seek out where to crab and oyster hunt around the area as well!
Near by restaurants of Little Boston Bistro, and the unique Mossback at close by town of Kingston, gave us the yummy treat beyond our own sea hunt cooking at Holly's kitchen .... All delighted our taste buds with BIG happy faces!
That wonderful Albertson Market at Kingston provided us with all cooking ingredients we needed, and the "price is right" shorts and fried chicken, were the welcoming dishes among all, besides our sea hunt dishes, of cause!
Holly, your kindness, helpfulness, and thoughtfulness during our 6 nights stay, allowed us feel that much more pleasantly, joyously, and comfortable while we''re home away from home .... For that, we truly would like to thank you for allowing our memorable memories to happen and last, based on your awesome, magnificent, and ideal "Home" for us all!
To sum it all up by my daughter's texted to me on their way to Sea Tac, as they headed back to LA...... " Mom, we all had a great time, Delilah (7 years old) was so so sad to leave. And Jackson (4) kept crying in the car and at the air port because he was so sad we couldn't stay longer!" Hopefully, we'll be blessed to encounter such unique experience soon enough!
just wish anyone who were lucky enough to find and rent this beautiful, awesome Holly's House, will be able to capture what we had experienced all though our presence at this unique place!
Thank you sincerely again Holly! Truly appreciated all!

Loved every minute of our stay. Holly was a most pleasant host. This is an ideal setting for a large family reunion or any large group who like to hang outside with eagles and osprey, take long beach walks, eat outdoors with views of the Hood Canal and start the day with coffe in the hottub while Mtn Rainier turns various shades of pink as the sun rises!
We had a great Christmas with family and friends.
Spent 7 nights in in this beautiful waterfront home. There was plenty of room for everyone and the house well appointed with all of the necessary amenities to make for a great stay.
Holly was extremely helpful and she is a lovely and pleasant lady as well.
Thank you so much for sharing your home with us..........
We got married on this property and used every inch of it over the span of three days. The view was breathtaking and was provided a stunning backdrop for our ceremony. The house was elegant, spacious, and provided a comfortable home base for the wedding party. The lawn and driveway accommodated a number of table and chair setups, our ceremony, a potluck, and we were even able to sneak away for pictures on the beach. It's an accessible location that feels incredibly remote and pristine for how close to civilization it is. Holly & Don are gracious, relaxed, friendly, fun, responsive hosts. They felt like family by the time we left! We're already plotting our next visit to this very special place. The whole experience was a joy.
We had childhood friend came from Texas and California, looking for a good location that they can visit the beautiful Northwest and some light beach activities. We had 10 members of our group and there was so much room we could just choose where we wanted to sleep each night! The house is absolutely SPOTLESS clean and really comfy. The kitchen is gourmet and was a pleasure to cook, we have 5 "love to cook" women in our group and they all love to spent time together in the kitchen. The TV room downstairs housed the amateur "choir" and allowed separation for those in the kitchen and those involved in chit chat and sports. There are two other spacious area that we didn't use! We spent two amazing nights.
The view is truly indescribable. The owners were INCREDIBLY gracious and helpful. At every point we called them they answered immediately. I can't imagine a more helpful family. We didn't catch any crab but found plenty clams and oysters. It was memorial trip for my friends from Texas and California who never been to a view house before.
