About Jeff Lewis and Amanda Johnson, Property Managers
Having rented and owned property on Lake Waramaug for over 45 years we decided to purchase the former inn and carriage house and convert them into private residences in order to preserve these historic buildings and the property from destruction and potentially unattractive development.
Jeff Lewis and Amanda Johnson, Property Managers purchased this Chateau / Country House in 2015
Why Jeff Lewis and Amanda Johnson, Property Managers chose New Preston
The Boulders, built in 1895, was designed by renowned architect, Ehrick Rossiter. The Boulders and the adjacent seven-bedroom "Carriage House" had been operated as a bed-and-breakfast business for almost 70 years. When the previous owner decided to sell the properties and closed the commercial operation it was feared that the houses would be demolished to make room for a multifamily development. The current owner didn't want to see that happen and therefore decided to buy the property and convert from non-conforming commercial to residential use.
