Yellowstone River Cabin

  • 4 of 5

You can tell this is a well loved cabin. The setting is wonderful sitting on the banks of the Yellowstone River. We had 2 bachelor elk visit in the front yard and in the backyard great views of a curve of the yellowstone river. The dirt road used to approach the property was alway a great drive with lots of pronghorns and elk grazing in the fields on both sides of the road. The deck is so nice that we grilled out on the gas grill every night. We loved it.

Great stay

  • 4 of 5

It was great stay at Jennifer's cabin, she has all the amenities in her cabin setup, the utensils are great, looks like after someone poster review about the old utensils being not usable Jennifer replaced it with new one's which are great to use, we even used her plastic carry on lunch boxes when we were hiking in yellowstone. The morning view was beautify with elks and moose playing in the backyard, and if you are staying there on a clear night you can see the whole galaxy, the day we arrived it was clear starry night and it looked so fabulous, thank you Jennifer for taking care of minute details and the amazing cabin you have. Next time when we visit yellowstone we will stay there definitely.

Mountain Paradise

  • 5 of 5

This beautiful cabin, set with views of the mountains and elk grazing in the area, is a perfect setting for a mountain vacation. The cabin was well appointed with wildlife and mountain decor including 2 cozy monogrammed robes for their guests. The access road was a bumpy dirt road which led to the town of Gardiner and the Yellowstone entrance. The location of this cabin was excellent for access to our day trips to Yellowstone. Comfortable beds, an outstanding deck with great views and a working fireplace added to the charm of this mountain retreat.

Very Enjoyable and Convenient Way to Experience Yellowstone

  • 5 of 5

The cabin had everything we needed to provide a home base for our days in Yellowstone Park. The group of cabins where Yellowstone River Cabin #4 is located was very quiet. It was conveniently located near the north entrance to the park and the town of Gardiner was very close and had everything we had forgotten to bring/needed to pick up fresh. We found the laundry and a full kitchen very helpful in allowing us to focus on enjoying the park and not worrying about logistics. One evening we even had a herd of Elk hanging around just off the front porch while we were grilling dinner. The Yellowstone River just yards off the front yard was a wonderful evening backdrop on the porch.

The Dish TV, DVDs, and Yellowstone books provided a lot of entertainment options. The only suggestions I would offer are that non-stick frying pans had peeling Teflon and there are not many Tupperware-type storage containers. So, consider bringing a frying pan and storage containers if they are something you would need to use.

I would recommend Jennifer's cabin to anyone planning a Yellowstone vacation.

Owner's Response: Thank you Jackie, I did buy new Green - Ceramic Non-Stick Coated Pans. I have been trying to get rid of plastic in my own life (environmental), so hence no plastic. But, there are plenty of glass containers, I just added more. You are the best.

Wonderful place and vacation! We would stay again.

  • 5 of 5

I hate to tell everyone how great this place is because it won't be available again when we want it. An out of the way Yellowstone Cabin with all the comforts of home. Great space for our family of four. Everything you could need to live comfortably. Elk came by early the first morning we were there. It was close enough to all the Yellowstone attractions but far enough away to get away from all the people and relax in the evenings. We had a fabulous time. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us. It is truly one of the nicest VRBO places we have stayed in.
