Nestled in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains is a tropical oasis awaiting your arrival. Why spend hours flying to Hawaii when you can enjoy tropical South Seas ambiance in Pasadena. Located in Historic Highlands, a quiet Pasadena residential neighborhood two miles north of downtown Pasadena, this studio/loft has lots of charm and character. The neighborhood is great for walking with beautiful tree lined streets. The rental comes complete with exclusive use of outdoor dining area, swimming pool (unheated), fire ring, and heated spa.
Pasadena, located 9 miles north of downtown Los Angeles, is a vibrant city, rich in history and culture, and home to the world famous New Year’s Day Tournament of Roses. Average year round temperature is 76 F daytime to 54 F nighttime. You are minutes away from many sports and recreation areas, and 30 to 60 minutes from all the major Los Angeles attractions.
Whether you like to swim, paddle around, sun bathe, sit and think or sit and soak in the sunshine, the facility is absolutely perfect for relaxing.
If you like to be inside watching TV or reading, it's great, too (more stations than I could count).
Quiet neighborhood. Close to Pasadena's Old DownTown and plenty of attractions nearby.
Attractions nearby, yes. But you can get your full value just by staying around and enjoying the premises.
Thank you for a great stay.
Traveled to Pasadena with my wife and parents for my son's graduation from APU this December. The patio with the outdoor fireplace comfortable furniture and lights helped make the graduation party a lot of fun. We did not use the pool but enjoyed the hot tub. The Polynesian decor is a little over the top but works, the neighborhood is very pleseant and the location convenient. Owners were friendly and helpful, enjoyed our stay very much.
My family and I were thrilled to arrive at the house in Pasadena and couldn't wait to explore it. Jama gave us a warm welcome! The house is tucked into a very nice street in Pasadena. Beautiful homes all around. Also, the property is nestled at the foothills of the San Gabriela, VERY quiet and peaceful, and gave us several days of peace and tranquil afternoons under the palms. The kids swam four hours a day in the pool and just loved it. The kitchen and fridge were just what we needed for a week's stay, and we cooked most meals there. Any and all utensils, pots, etc are there - fully stocked. There's really nothing critical to say... We would most definitely return on future trips to LA.
This property is uniquely beautiful, a guest house tucked behind a craftsman cottage in an upscale neighborhood of Pasadena. You are transported to the South Sea island retreat. Soaking pool and heated spa await to melt away your worldly tensions while tiki gods watch over you. Cottage is comfortably appointed in matching decor, including incredible collection of ceramic drinking cups. Kitchen has all the necessities and room to move. Extra large web tv is at your service (however during our stay a storm knocked out the connection for the entire day, so come prepared with reading material). Host Jama was present to welcome us, but left us alone to enjoy the setting with a thoughtfully placed privacy screen. Bed was comfortable and pool towels were extra large. Quiet, peaceful, calming spot to soothe your soul. Hope to come again.
We (family of three- with a nine-year old) stayed for four days at the turn of the New Year and had the best time. All was exactly as advertised- beautifully appointed tiki bungalow with a loft space, hot tub and pool. The accommodations are around the back from the owner's residence- but they provided all the privacy we desired (and tips/recommendations when needed). We look forward to staying here on our next visit to the Pasadena area.
It was my birthday/Christmas celebration and it was quite a surprise. We enjoyed every amenity, jacuzzi and pool was wonderful; even though it rained few days, jacuzzi worked perfectly and pool very inviting providing a very relaxing experience. I will consider this place first for my next trip to Pasadena, which I visit 3 or 4 times a year.
Great place to come back to after a long day/night out and about - comfortable, clean, and quiet.
The hostess, Jama, met us soon after we arrived to see if we had any questions - otherwise, it felt like we had our own little compound.
Convenient location - a short Uber ride to downtown Pasadena and the Rose Bowl.
I would definitely stay here again.
