We thoroughly enjoyed our 8 day stay at the Cliff House in late August 2016. There were 12 of us and the house was perfect. The rooms are nice and the beds are very comfortable. Plenty of room to spread out and still have personal space to get away from the crowd.
We all had a fabulous time in Doolin and the surrounding areas. I highly recommend the Cliff House!
We stayed at the Cliff House in March of 2016. The owner was very accommodating and let us check in at 8:30am as our flight arrived early in the morning. The house is GORGEOUS! Views are beautiful. My husband, 2 teenage sons (ages 14 and 17) and I had more than enough space! Doolin was a perfect location. The owner sent us tons of information about the surrounding locale prior to our arrival. We went on a ferry to the Aran Islands and visited Bunratty Castle as well as family members in Galway. All 4 of us loved the house and hope to return in the future!
Our stay at The CliffHouse was FABULOUS!!! I was so sad when it came to an end. The owner, Anthony, was a tremendous help answering many questions and offering various recommendations before we left USA for our family trip to Ireland. The house is very spacious and has enough areas for several different groups to gather with comfortable furnishings. We only had 6 people in our party, so aside from the Master bedroom, everyone had their own room. The master bedroom is Huge, with a very large bathroom ( Tub + Shower) and large closet. All of the beds were extremely comfortable and all of the bedrooms were of good size -- even for two people to share. Built in closets made unpacking quite easy. While WiFi was tough throughout all of Ireland, the CliffHouse had the best connection compared to all the other areas we stayed. The location was great with stunning views; on a clear day you could see quite far. We did a lot of running around while there from sight to beautiful sight, however I hope to return again to just enjoy being in Doolin at the CliffHouse.
I am one with high expectations and I highly recommend this property -- you won't be disappointed!!!!!
Thank you for everything Anthony!!!!! We hope to return again someday!
Jon and I have been coming to Doolin annually for the past 18 years and have had the privilege to stay in many houses in the area. Last year we brought 4 friends for a weeklong golf outing for Jon's 40th birthday celebration so we required a larger house. The Cliffhouse was fantastic! From the coffee in the conservatory in the mornings to the Irish whiskey by the fireplace in the evenings, it couldn't have been more perfect. The foursome played golf at five different courses while the ladies
partook in the local activities such as beachcombing for scallop shells, hiking the cliffs, sightseeing, and shopping. The house was a welcome treat at the end of a busy day. It was beautifully decorated, well appointed, and extremely comfortable.
We look forward to our next return visit to the Cliffhouse even just the two of us.
We just returned from our trip to Ireland. We stayed at The Cliffhouse for 4 nights. We comfortably stayed with 3 other couples. The views were breathtaking! The house was absolutley gorgeous and well furnished. We loved every minute in this place. I remember walking through the rooms and couldn't decide which room I wanted to relax in because each room was perfect and comfortable! Fireplaces were an added perfect touch! Our main goal was to gather family together and enjoy each others company and we succeeded! Memories were made to last a lifetime! We loved this place and if/ when we ever return, we will certainly book this place again! Excellent! Can't say enough good things about this place....and Ireland!! We didn't want to leave!
Four friends and I stayed for five days in this lovely house. This was a 50th birthday celebration and reunion for us. The house had everything we needed to be comfortable and then some. The rooms were well-appointed and nicely decorated. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed, although we didn't cook meals there - the town has fantastic pubs for that! Don't let the photo of the outside of the house fool you - there is a ton of green all around, it is not barren. The layout of the house was perfect - bedrooms on one side, living space on the other. The managers provided great service, and when we needed to call them (which was only once) they were right there. I'd highly recommend this house.
