Apple Tree and Tawny Cottages are located in a wooded rural area, just off the A374, with private gardens, grounds and ample parking. The cottages are part of a converted 19th Century stone barn, and are newly refurbished to a high standard and come fully equipped with modern electric heating, large screen LED TV with DVD and Wifi.
From the gardens, the cottages are entered via an entrance hallway, leading into the cosy open plan living, kitchen and dining area, with beamed ceilings, stone wall, quarry tile floor and woodland views. The kitchens are newly fitted and fully equipped with solid beech worktops, separate oven and hob, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave and plenty of cupboard space for food storage. Further storage space for beach bags, suitcases etc, can be found underneath the carpeted stairs, which lead via a landing to the first floor. The two comfortable bedrooms, one double and one twin, both have plenty of storage space and views over the owners orchard and surrounding woodland. Also on the first floor are the bathrooms with bath(Tawny), shower, toilet and wash basin.

About Michael Evans, Tine Evans, Frank Evans, Doreen Evans
We are Michael Evans, my wife Tine and my daughter Amy, also my parents Frank and Doreen. We have been holidaying in Cornwall and Devon for many years and decided that when my parents finally retired we would all sell up and move to the west country to enjoy the fresh air, wonderful countryside and fantastic beaches.
Michael Evans, Tine Evans, Frank Evans, Doreen Evans purchased this Cottage in 2014
Why Michael Evans, Tine Evans, Frank Evans, Doreen Evans chose Sheviock
Glebe barn, with the twin cottages of Tawny and Apple Tree gave us the living space we needed, with the added bonus of the chance of running a holiday let. I have been coming to Whitsand Bay since i was a young boy, and we have rented many holiday lets over the years and always envied the lifestyle and wanted to give it a try for ourselves. We loved the location of the property, it is very private as we are surrounded by woodland, but not too remote making visiting the many sights and places of interest in the area very easy indeed.
What makes this Cottage unique
We feel the property offers a unique blend of the tranquility of being surrounded by woodland, and nature at the centre of the Rame Peninsula, whilst also being close to good transport routes, a major city and many other towns and villages of interest of two beautiful counties.

Lovely home away from home
Very pretty cottage, exactly as described. Perfect for our stay.
The very best self catering I have ever found.
Wonderful place, everything provided and very comfortable. Beautiful surroundings, a perfect break. Would certainly go again.
Perfect Cottage in a great location
Me and my partner stayed in the Apple Tree Cottage for 4 nights. We arrived to lovely homemade scones with clotted cream and jam which was a great gesture. Mike and Tine were very welcoming, friendly and helpful making everything very easy. The cottage was immaculate and very well equipped and beautifully presented. The cottage is situated in a scenic, quiet location and was a great base for our short break.
We would highly recommend the cottage and will hopefully be returning in the near future.
Tom & Zoe
Thanks to Tom and Zoe for their kind review. We are very pleased they enjoyed their stay, and can highly recommend them as guests. It will be a pleasure to welcome them back one day!
What an amazing place to base yourself in Cornwall
To arrive to a smile, home made scones, jam and cream, pint of milk in the fridge went well beyond our expectations. The cottage is immaculately clean and very well equipped. Having been met by Mike and Tine on arrival, nothing was too much to ask. They provide amazing cottages to base yourself out of with so many wonderful places to see and visit locally.
We would highly recommend this cottage and hope to return in the near future ourselves.

Perfect Cornish cottage!
We stayed here for 5 nights with our two young children. The cottage is beautifully clean and homely. It literally has everything you could possibly need and was so comfortable to stay in. It is in an excellent location, very close to the coast- we visited Looe and Fowey for crabbing and rock pooling which the kids loved! Michael and Tine were so helpful and friendly and everything was so easy and straightforward. We arrived really late on Friday night and had no problem with keys and arrived to some home made scones, clotted cream and jam and a pint of milk in the fridge as well as tea and coffee which was a lovely welcome!
We will definitely be coming back here and had a lovely break!
Fantastic, clean and cosy cottage!
Found this beautiful cottage after searching for ages for somewhere around the Plymouth area and we were not disappointed! Cottage is in a scenic and quite area but only a few minutes from the Plymouth ferry and main roads. Cottage itself is immaculate and very clean on arrival with all the essentials you could ask for. Would most definitely stay here again and recommend to others.
