Beautiful house in a beautiful spot on Lake George. House has two lakeside decks for enjoying the views. I love that it tries to blend into the trees rather than stick out on the lake landscape. Great dock. Easy access in the water down a ladder to a soft sandy spot. My 70 year old mom with a bad foot could do it. People without upper body strength might have a problem. This is the ONLY rental house I have stayed in where there are more than enough fans. One hot night ( a rarity up here) we had a fan pointed at every person in the house. Pool table in the basement is a huge hit. Games, books-a great unplugged week. Canoe, kayaks, paddle boat, plenty of chairs, loved the chiminea by the lake. Owner very accommodating as we had to bring our old dog at the last minute.
Great stay, can't recommend this house enough. Tip: bring your own beach towels. Runners, there is a park in Ticonderoga with a trail that you can run/walk on by the river. Wind Chill factory has the best ice cream at very reasonable prices.
Our family spent a week at this wonderful private property right on the lake. The view was beautiful and the children loved being able to fish right off the dock and jump in the lake. The canoe and kayak provided hours of fun! We even rented a pontoon boat and used the float at the house for tubing!
When we arrived, the house was clean and well maintained. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we could have possibly needed. There is a Super Walmart about 10 minutes away for groceries.
The bedrooms were roomy and provided ample sleeping options with clean linens and towels. The kids loved sleeping together in the bunk bed room! The basement was a great place to relax, play pool and watch movies.
If you are looking for a private property right on the lake, look no further. Hague house is a perfect choice for a family vacation!
We had such a wonderful time here. The house could not have been better. I went up here with my family and friends, consisting of approx 12 people. The rooms were large and beautifully furnished. There are TV's with DVD players built in. The pool table was a great hit as was the fire pit on the dock. We had such a great time on the dock at night, it was so great. Everything you can think of is provided by the excellent owners. There are two decks and the view of the lake is fantastic. The boats and canoes that they provided were so much fun. I cannot say what a fabulous time we all had here. We will definitely do this again. The privacy is the best. The lake is so beautiful and clean. Thank you again to Julie and Kim.
Our extended family of 11 people just got back from a weeklong stay July 2 through July 9, 2011. We had a fantastic time with daily swimming, kayaking, canoeing, boating, grilling, shooting pool, etc. We rented a 22' boat on July 5 for four days and had a blast touring the lake, tubing and water skiing. The log cabin was so well equipped, everything we could think of was provided.
The area is in a peaceful area of Lake George, close to the northernmost town, Ticonderoga, where we shopped at the Super Walmart for groceries. Around 20 miles south of the town is Bolton Landing, a quaint town with nice shopping and restaurants, and the southernmost part of the lake is Lake George Village, a busy resort town.
This place is awesome and exceeded our expectations by far! The house is so beautiful, even better than photos, fully equipped and very comfortable. There is plenty of room, beds, bathrooms, seating for many people. The decor is so tasteful- adirondack style. It is very clean and organized. The views are quite amazing all day long! It is even beautiful on a rainy day.The rec room was so much fun too, with a big screen tv, DVD, Xbox game, pool table, darts, and a computer with internet. The large laundry room was very nice to use. Waterfront is great for swimming, boating and relaxing. The dock and three decks are wonderful. The use of the paddle boat & canoe was very nice, and mooring whips were perfect for our 18ft powerboat. We have two boys and a lab and we all had the best vacation here. Lots to do close-by as well, as described in the welcome book in the house. We toured the lake by boat, and around the lake by car through quaint towns - beautiful! Took boys to Fort Ticonderoga, Great Escape, and toured in Bolton Landing. We were so very happy with our choice to stay here - the views, lake, waterfront and home and all it offered were fantastic! This is truly a piece of paradise!!! We highly recommended for anyone and everyone! The owners were very helpful in every way, very good customer service. Thank you so much for the use of this gorgeous place to stay in such a beautiful spot on Lake George, NY!
