Our lovely home is at Waimea Bay, North Shore, Oahu Hawaii. It is located on an ocean-front property overlooking Waimea Surf Break. This home is a 'turn of the century-- old plantation bungalow style' two bedroom house, with breathtaking views of Waimea.
There is a large, breezy scenic covered deck. A five minute walk will take you to the beautiful white sandy beach at Waimea Bay, or a three minute walk takes you to another popular beach known as Three Tables. Our home is also near Sharks Cove for diving and snorkeling. The bicycle path takes you to Pipeline and Sunset Beach.
The gazebo in the front yard is perfect for watching the surf and the beautiful sunsets. The waves are spectacular in the winter and, on the right days you might see whales with their babies playing in the surf. A short bike ride along a scenic bike path takes you to Pipeline and Sunset Beach. You will not forget your Hawaii vacation, in this fantastic paradise!

My 2 daughters and I stayed here in August. The place is beautiful! The owner, tries and succeeds in making the house homey with
lovely personal touches such as a box of candy upon arrival, and lovely
soaps in the shower. The owners are so welcoming and helpful. We felt
like friends, not renters. I would highly recommend this place to anyone
who wants a relaxing, homey place right on the water You can't go wrong
here. We will be back!
Jeannie and T were great hosts and we loved our time at Waimia Wonder! We especially loved the use of the paddleboards, snorkel equipment, and 4 bikes. We were able to carry the paddleboards to 2 different beautiful beaches and use the bikes on the nearby bike path. Our teenage daughters ( 14 and 17) loved this, as well as the food trucks and Foodland within walking distance. The home was comfortable and we loved eating our meals outside on the porch. It was nice to be able to walk "home" for lunch and then go back to the beach in the afternoon. We loved that we could walk or bike and not need our car to enjoy this beautiful and very fun area! Jeannie also provided 2 beach umbrellas which we greatly appreciated! We would definitely stay here again. This is a great vacation home and was our daughters' favorite place that we stayed during our time in Hawaii.
Just returned from our 9 day stay at Waimea Wonder. This is a great house. The grounds, especially the yard overlooking the Pacific, are impressive. The house is very charming, comfortable, very well kept and stocked. The bicycles were in good shape, but we did have to rent one locally for my 10 year old son (which Jeannie mentioned before we even booked). The owners were very friendly and helpful. Dr. T gave us daily beach and surf reports from his many local contacts. He also suggested the bike rental store for the kid bike and said to mention we were his tenants. We did and got a 25% discount! The location is very convenient to the North Shore sights. All the famous surf spots are a short bike road north (Sunset, Pipeline) or a short car ride south (Chuns, Turtle Beach). It is also close to Turtle Bay Resort, Polynesian Cultural Center and the town of Haleiwa. The only issue we had was traffic related, which would apply to any home near Kam Highway. The noise from the highway at night was a little louder than expected. My wife is a very light sleeper, and living in a small suburban town, we are not used to noisy traffic. It was not that big a problem to the rest of us, and city dwellers may be used to hearing traffic, but it was something she noticed.
Overall the house overdelivered from our expectations. It is reassuring to rent a nice house in a great location from very hospitable owners who care that their guests enjoy their stay. Waimea Wonder is the real thing. If the house fits your family, no need to look anywhere else. Thanks Jeannie and Dr. T.
As always, we had a wonderful stay at Waimea Wonder! The tropical flowers in bloom, smelled heavenly; there weremany different butterflies exploring the property and lots of birds singing gloriously. Everyday...enjoyed meditating by the seaside...followed by a 3 minute walk to Foodland for a cappuccino, espresso, and fresh poke😋 Even better was strolling along the highway to either go floating or snorkelling in Waimea Bay or Three Tables beach...look forward to returning again next year! Our thanks and gratitude for great hospitality from Jeannie & T. Mahalo! Michael, Megan & Amandah
We had an awesome stay at Waimea Wonder. Fabulous in every way. Jeannie is a wonderful, generous, gracious hostess and really made us feel welcome. The accommodations were incredibly clean and nothing too fancy but definitely comfortable and perfect for what we needed. The outdoor shower might be the hidden gem of the property, were it not for the breathtaking views all the way to Kaenna Point from the back yard. Super convenient to Waimea Bay, Three Tables, Shark's Cove, Foodland, and the food trucks next to Foodland. My only suggestion is you can hear the traffic on the Kam Highway which wasn't bad, it's just a reality of staying on the North Shore. If you're a sensitive sleeper, bring some earplugs and you should be just fine.
Very charming heritage house in great location with truly amazing views of ocean from front yard. Short easy walk to beach, walk to Waimea falls, convenient short walk to nicest food truck zone on island with ocean side outdoor seating and good variety, and short drive to Haleiwa for restaurants. Decoration in house is charming and of the area without being kitschy. Interesting old photos of North Shore. Owners Jeannie and T are very welcoming and friendly.
My cousin and I rented this beautiful place and were both impressed with it. It was so well appointed, from the variety of books in each room, to the coffee and tea, a welcome box of candy and a fully stocked spice rack! Jeanne and T were gracious hosts as well. The path to the water was gorgeous, as if we were walking through a rainforest with paving stones. Sitting either on the Adirondack chairs facing the water or under the protection of the gazebo was so relaxing. Whales playing in the distance was an added bonus. The location is perfect and I wouldn't change a thing.
Waimea Wonder is located on the North Shore at Waimea Bay, which has a spectacular beach and park. The house is 5 miles from the historic town of Haleiwa and is 2 miles from Sunset Beach and is 1 mile from Pipeline. From the front yard you can view the coastline and watch the 'BIG SURF' in the winter and often see humpback whales and spinner dolphins.
Ride our bikes down the bike to visit many beautiful and famous beaches--snorkel in the summer months at 3 Tables or Shark's Cove, watch the surf meets during the winter season.
