Provo is a world class island which offers something for everyone. For those who want to relax and unwind, there are excellent spas, secluded stretches of beaches and extraordinary stargazing. For those who are looking for a more active trip, sporting activities abound. The Turks and Caicos islands are surrounded by the world's third largest coral reef and the snorkeling and scuba diving are some of the best in the world.
Best of all one of Provos most popular snorkeling spots is only a short walk down the beach. Snorkle with turtles, sting rays and an array of other sea life. Provo also offers kayaking. sailing, tennis, golf, parasailing and horseback riding on the beach. Fine dining, oceanfront casual restaurants and designer boutiques are all within walking distance from the resort. Provo even has an IGA grocery store. The perfect island for an unforgettable vacation.

Also, as an added bonus our guests are greeted at the airport and are escorted to the condo by our Property Manager where a brief orientation is provided. Our Property Manager is available 24 hours for any questions/concerns. We also have a complimentary cell phone for guest usage for local calls.
Moreover, our guests receive great discounts on car rental/water sport activities.
My wife and I fell in love with the TCI 12 years ago. We both lead hectic lives working full time as. We are also raising 4 kids. Two in College at the University of Michigan(Go Blue!!!) and the other 2 in High School.
George Stevenson purchased this condo in 2003
We have traveled extinsively throughout the Caribbean. The TCI by far is the nicest island. GraceBay Beach is INCREDIBLE!!! The stretch of GraceBay that the Alexandra Resort is located on is the quietest and the most expensive on the island. The staff is fantastic and extremely friendly.
We have made several contacts with local businesses throughout the years. There is nothing we can't provide. We offer the best car rental/water sport rates on the island which we pass on to our guests. We provide our guests an extensive restaurant/excursion list that no other owner can. We recently refreshed and updated our condo. Including a fresh coat of paint, new 40 inch flat screen tv, new curtains, bedding, stainless steel steel appliances and re-staining of all the outdoor teek furniture.
We had a wonderful vacation. The Condo had everything we could possibly want. The condo was more than large enough for the two us. The view was spectacular. The Alexandra resort is on the nicest part of GraceBay. There is no construction on or near the Alexandra resort. The staff was very helpful and professional. The owner's restaurant/excursion recommendations were perfect. Both he and his wife are a wealth of knowledge. Make sure to take advantage of them.
We enjoyed a 7 night stay in this very nice, recently updated condo located in the Alexandra resort on Grace Bay. From the balcony, you can see the beach of Grace Bay and the pool of the resort. The condo has a new comfortable king size bed. The bathroom and shower have also been updated. Great location! A perfect place to stay for your tropical getaway!
Property is very nice and fairly convenient. Only 15-20 minutes from the airport and centrally located amongst the other resorts and restaurants. There are only one or 2 restaurants within a mile or so (besides the one onsite) and both grocery stores are outside of walking distance so you'd want to consider renting a car if you don't want to eat onsite every day or pay 10-20 a pop for taxi rides.
The room was perfectly fine. Nothing I would consider luxurious but for the price it was good. There is a small fridge to keep your beer and snacks cold but it won't really provide you with ice. Plenty of nice towels included and a couple of robes.
The relationship between the VRBO owners and the resort is a bit weird. There is some kind of arrangement where you can use the pool but not the chairs or towels and you can't bring your own towels, hence the provided robes. We had no interest in sitting at the pool since a great beach is 50 yards away but if that's your thing you may not like it. The beach setup was a bit better. They have a seperate section for the "VIP club" that had plenty of beach chairs and umbrellas. They would bring you water if you wanted but there didn't appear to be any drink service at your chair itself. Not a big deal for us since we bought liquor and beer at the store and made our own drinks.
The onsite restaurant was surprisingly good. Normally these types of places serve overpriced mediocre food since they have a captive audience but not here. Everything we tried was good except for the pizza, which was average. Service was friendly but very slow and not very attentive. They charge a 10% service fee on top of the 12% tax. Never figured out if that was for the servers or not but we treated it as if it were.
So overall we enjoyed the place. Even though the beach and pool situation was less than ideal, we were also paying less than 50% of what the regular resort guests were paying so in my opinion it was worth it.
This was our third trip to the TCI but our first time staying at George's condo at the Alexandra. We will definitely stay here on out future trips. From the moment that we were met by Lucy (Property Manager)at the airport we were delighted by her friendly and professional service. She escorted us to our unit, showed us all the features in the condo and went over all of the enhanced amenities of the TCI VIP CLUB. She was even kind enough to walk us down to the beach, show us the location of the club and introduce us to the Beach Butler. The beach location is superb, the attentiveness of the TCI VIP CLUB Beach Butlers was amazing and the accommodationsecond were excellent. We can't wait to book our next trip to this little gem.
December 2016 Review
- Good price
- Nice property
- Great location
- TCI VIP club is kind of a joke...more like second class citizen. When Lucy took us to the property, that's when we realized that something wasn't quite right. She mentioned that the resort has given up on enforcing vrbo units not being able to use some of the amenities. When we used the pool, the staff was right there to tell us (literally yelled at us from across the pool - quite embarrassing I might add) that we can't use any of the reclining chairs by the pool so we ended up just throwing our towels on the ground. We also can't use the resort blue towels. There were 2 TCI VIP club towels provided in the condo (white with stains). On the couple week days where we went to the beach...there was no butler anywhere in sight. Overall, I felt less than welcomed at the resort by booking the VRBO unit. Also, when we asked Lucy about amenities...she didn't mention the tennis courts, gym or anything else...just the pool and beach. I didn't feel like she was very helpful.
- Unit is NOT refreshed. The overview needs to be updated. I'm not sure when the unit was repainted but it wasn't recently judging from the stains on the walls. The towels were either tattered or filled with stains (some from end to end...it was quite gross). The TV service only worked half of the time we were there. The brown coverlet on the bed had a huge white stain. The closet had extra pillows and such and the pillows were also covered entirely in stains. Did not want to see what the pillows on the bed looked like under the covers. Most of the lamps in the unit were rusting. The shower also splashed water out onto the tile floor so be sure to have a couple towels there to soak up the mess. In general, it didn't feel quite up to the standard as the listing suggested.
- Missing some crucial necessities. The trash bag that is in the small trash can when you arrive is all you get. Meaning you have to buy extra trash bags if you fill it up (we did in 2 days - we stayed for 7). There was 1 spare roll of toilet paper - emailed Lucy and was told you have to buy your own. It's insane that I have to buy toilet paper on vacation! Lastly...no shampoo or conditioner is provided. Those are such little things that I have never thought about when I go on vacation.
BOTTOM LINE - glad we got to go to TCI but will avoid this unit.
We had such a wonderful time on our honeymoon in Turks and Caicos. The property and room was perfect. It is the perfect space for two people. We really enjoyed the bath robes too what a treat! The resort was wonderful, we came during their early season but lucked out with some great weather. The only comment we would make, and it's not in relation to the condo itself, is that the staff at the Alexandra, pool staff and kitchen were not walking around asking if anyone needed drinks or food. If I was them, and I've waited tables before, I'd go back to my repeat customers to see if they wanted anything to make some more tips!
Overall, WONDERFUL time, beautiful island and gorgeous little condo. We would go back!
