Spacious property that. had interesting ornaments and decorations.
Four couples enjoyed our stay for a week in the property. All facilities we needed were available and the property met and exceeded our expectations and the only problem was that the Wifi didn't work.
However, even the best place could be improved and an extra key is really required, especially as there were 4 couples staying. Mattress protectors are probably required, but the plastic ones that were on the beds were uncomfortable and sweaty, the guests took them off after the first night - no point having them!!! My mattress could also do with turning periodically to avoid permanent dents caused by the same sleeping position.
Nevertheless our stay was excellent and I would not hesitate to recommend other people to stay. Veronique was also readily available to help with any minor issues we had.
Spacious, quiet, comfortable and lovely designed house
We were welcomed warmly by the home help Veronique who showed us around the gite and gave us some tips for places to visit. The house is amazingly designed, clean and very spacious. The large garden provided a quiet retreat, overlooking the corn fields and has an abundance of wildlife (red squirrels, rabbits, birds of all types including storks!). The gite is well placed for visits to all of the WWI sites, the cities of Paris and Lille, and also across the border to the medieval town of Tournai in Belgium. We would recommend this gite to others.
The property was just as expected and we received a very warm welcome . The whole family were enchanted by the property and it's setting.
There was plenty to amuse the smaller children and also the teenagers in our family group. We made a visit to the castle in Pierrefonds and also Guise. The younger members spent an afternoon canoeing.
However I was disappointed to find that all the items that were provided required a deposit which was not mentioned on the property booking information. As it turned out the required deposits stripped us of all our cash. Had we known we could have paid by cheque we would have taken our cheque books with us and saved a lot of angst on our part.
Overall we had a really good visit and would recommend the property to others.
Beautiful house for a weekend with friends/family
Beautiful house on the countryside. Nice place to spent time with friends and family. The spacious kitchen makes cooking together really enjoyable.
The garden is beautiful and it's especially nice to spent time there. We were a group of 12 people and enjoyed the house a lot. Several bathrooms and bedrooms make it a perfect place for a weekend trip:)
Also the uncomplicated host makes this a great place to go.
Thank you Ricarda for your appreciation that makes us want to improve our services to better serve you
