We love Cabo & wanted a nice house to hang out with our families & friends
This home was such a pleasure to stay at! We found it difficult to leave and venture out most days because the view was so beautiful and the house was so comfortable! The house is huge and beautifully located! The expansive family room kitchen area is great for entertaining and gathering for meals! Every bedroom has its own private bath, the beds were super comfortable! We really enjoyed the Pool/Jacuzzi and the Ping-Pong table was a nice bonus! The staff was kind, efficient and courteous! The property was centrally located, very secure and well guarded. We would come back to stay at this property in a heartbeat!
Our stay at “Toro Rojo” was absolutely outstanding. The house is huge! Every bedroom has it’s own full bath. As soon as we entered into the house, we were presented with a large open floor plan that spans from the kitchen to the left, across the dining room, through the family room, and into the master bedroom. All of this overlooks the Sea of Cortez through sliding floor to ceiling windows. The family room, MB, and outside patio area all have a TV and you can hook your phone, IPOD, etc into the stereo, so listening to your favorite music station, playlist, Pandora, etc was a great option. There is full Direct TV cable, but to be honest, we only really used it for the music channels or a quick catch-up on the news. The house is very clean, tastefully decorated, private, and has central air. Everything is 110v so all your electronics from the U.S. will work. There is a large grill and outside bar area right by the pool. The Jacuzzi flows into the pool below via a wonderful waterfall and both can be lighted at night, which adds a great amount of ambience! There’s plenty of lounge furniture along with a patio table with chairs that includes an umbrella, which we utilized a lot because hanging out by and in your own private saltwater pool overlooking the Sea of Cortez was the plan-of –the-day!
This amazing home is located near the top of a large hill that rises steeply up from the marina and is sandwiched between the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez. There is only one controlled entry/exit point to this exclusive community, which has a guard shack that is manned continuously. There’s also a continuous roving patrol. Due to the excellent location, we chose to walk down the hill several times so we could enjoy all the views and the architecture of the other homes. Catch the sunrise in the morning at the house, then walk to the backside of the hill and catch beautiful sunsets in the evening. If you choose, you can walk down the backside of the hill to a private beach on the Pacific Ocean.
The staff is exceptionally friendly, helpful, and connected. They took care of everything! From cleaning the pool and house to setting up desired activities with better discounts than you would normally get, to groceries if desired (you pay), to homemade margaritas upon our arrival.
In closing, our stay was incredible and worth every penny. When we return, we will stay here again! Stay here! You will not be disappointed! Mark and Brian are the BEST!!!
This review is solely focused on the phenomenal customer service our group received while working with Brian. Our group of 8 planned to stay at the Villa Del Toro Rojo in March, but had to make last minute changes when one of our couples found out they were expecting and were prohibited to travel to Mexico due to the spread of the Zika virus. Brian was very understanding, provided us with different options, and executed our new plan with no hesitation. While we had to postpone our spring break plans, we've agreed that we'll definitely be booking our next group trip with Brian because it's guaranteed that he'll make sure we have an awesome experience.
Villa Del Toro Rojo was beautiful! We had 10 people in the house and it was more than enough space for all of us. The neighborhood is unbelievably beautiful and safe. The pool is not the biggest, but it's perfect for cooling off or just relaxing. The outdoor bar and grill are perfect for a BBQ and entertaining. The wifi, tv, stereo system, and house phone that called the U.S. for free, were also incredibly helpful and useful amenities. The cleaning and management staff were amazing. They were very welcoming and helped us out with whatever we needed: food, restaurant recommendations, cabs, ironing clothes, you name it. My only recommendation, if you plan on traveling into town a lot, is to rent a car. We rented a van for the week and I don't know how we would have survived without it. The road that leads to the house is a very beautiful but very steep and curvy cobble stone street. In our opinion, this was not an easy walk to town and walking back up to the house was out of the question. You can have the management staff call you a cab, but if you have a lot of people and are leaving the house often, this not only becomes difficult, but it gets expensive. The beach within the neighborhood is beautiful as well, but the surf is so rough that you are not aloud to swim there. Parking in town was not an issue for us, even at night. So again, highly recommend renting a vehicle. Any one of us who stayed in the house would stay here again and recommend our friends/relatives to stay here. Thanks again Mark and Brian!
From the moment I hit "send" on vrbo to request info., as Mark very quickly responded, to the very end of the trip, as Juan stopped by the house for "one final check" and everything in between, we couldn't ask for more! We had a group ranging from ages 8 to 75 and all had a great time! The property is well cared for; I agree with previous reviewers, Juan and Irania provided top notch personal concierge services. We really can't say enough about this property and the benefits of having Juan and Irania.
We had a wonderful stay at Toro Rojo. Everyone had a great time and Juan and his staff were fantastic. Arrangements were flawless from limo to/from airport, to RedRum fishing charter, pantry stocked with essential supplies, dinner with Chef Daniel, and Juan taking care of our every need. Look forward to our return trip to Cabo.
The town of Cabo San Lucas is situated at the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula, approximately 20 miles west of San José del Cabo. This once sleepy fishing village has been transformed into a full scale tourism destination. Championship golf courses, world class deep-sea fishing and interesting nearby scuba diving opportunities abound in this resort. Restaurants serving delicious meals and shops with merchandise from all parts of Mexico are found throughout Cabo San Lucas for a complete destination vacation.
