Dear Jacob & Kim,
Another wonderful week at your beautiful home! Thank you for all you have done to make our stay wonderful! Kim, thanks for all you have arranged for our needs!
We have had so many favorites, we will return again!
Gracias Margarita and Ismael!
Isla Escape honours it's name. Here nothing is missing to realize your wish to escape hectic life and completely rewind. We have enjoyed our 10 day stay in December under a stark blue sky and with the sound of the nearby ocean very much. The Cottage is realy complete, clean, very well maintained and located in beautiful nature a few steps away from a clean beach that appeared to be a very popular jogging area. Diving opportunities and a popular snorkeling site, a variety of restaurants and shopping, all at beach-walking distance. We enjoyed the privacy of the garden and the beachfront so much that we hesitated to go out. Tulum and Playa del Carmen nearby, two places with a total different character and worthwile to hang around. We have found Isla Escape totally in accordance with what is advertised on Homeaway and the IslaEscape website. The owners, who live next door, were a real asset, kind and caring. We loved Isla Escape and would recommend everybody to consider the beauty of this place. The cottage is small and is in our opinion comfortable for maximum four persons and OK for kids as well.
Jacob was awesome. The cleaning service was great and friendly. They did a great job. Easy to work with great location. There are a lot of wonderful restaurants nearby and close to activities. We would come here again!
Amazing!! We had the opportunity to spend time in both of the owner's homes and loved them both. It was our last vacation before our youngest girls (twins) went off to college and it made for great memories. We were greeted with open arms by Jacob. His staff and Margarita took very good care of us. I will miss my Tina and Bozo. Will definitely be back to visit them all. Tina and Bozo can always come live with me!!
My girlfriends and I spent 4 nights here in early May 2016. The cottage is so cute and nicely appointed -- everything you need, nothing you don't. Right on the beach, with a shady yard and a loungers on a seawall overlooking the beach. The owners were very helpful answering questions from the start, and once we were there, the caretakers, who live in the main house next door, were super friendly. The cottage has everything you need and the fridge was stocked with a few essentials when we arrived. The caretakers brought over a basket of provisions that easily would have gotten us through a few meals, but we also stopped at a large grocery store on the way from Cancun to Akumal. It takes about 10-12 minutes walking on the beach to get to the main area of town where there are a few restaurants, and it is also worth crossing the main highway to go up to the main part of town for dinner at least once. I would go back in a heartbeat, and would love to go with my kids (7 + 11)... the only caution being that this is very much a snorkeling destination, and not so much a sandy bottom beach, so reef shoes are essential.
Isla Escape is everything it promised and more. We spent 4 days there and hardly left the cottage. It's right on the beach, with a perfect view of the sea. We swam with turtles, went kayaking and snorkelling. Sitting on the veranda with a sea breeze was the perfect place to while away the time catching up with family who had travelled in from different locations. We even took the dog!
Ismael and Margarita who are the managers were so helpful.
Would love to stay there again.
Three couples stayed for five days in this charming cottage. It was very well-appointed and the location is excellent. We were able to walk along the beach each night to have dinner in the main area of Akumal. The caretakers, Ismael and Margarita were simply wonderful! They met us when we arrived answered any questions we had, and kept the place in beautiful condition. The only caveat I would include is that the loft room is definitely a loft - open air with two twin beds and a sloped ceiling so you can hear everything else in the cottage. It was a bit tight for two adults, but would probably be fine for kids. But, the location was breathtaking and the outdoor area was perfect for our group!
