About The Owner

Lake Tahoe has been my playground for 20 years. With all the traveling I’ve done, there is nothing compared to the amenities and beauty the Tahoe basin has to offer. I purchased my first home here in 1992 and decided to share it with others when not in use. I now have many 5 and 6 bedrooms homes I offer for your enjoyment. Each have hot tubs, most with pool tables and in locations that allows easy access to the Lake and Ski resorts. They were purchased for vacation rentals and are designed to be user friendly with all the amenities of home. I have a full time staff that includes cleaning, maintenance and will respond within 24 hours for all your needs. Feel free to call me about my other homes, or to just to discuss the perfect ski run on the perfect day.

The Owner purchased this house in 1998

Why The Owner chose Lake Tahoe North Shore

I bought this for size and location. All the bedrooms are large, and the neighborhood is quiet surrounded by great hiking trails.

What makes this house unique

When you walk into the home, you'll feel like you're in a mountain lodge. Plaid carpet, stone wall fireplace, comfortable mountain furniture. A nice open living area all connecting to the outdoors where there is a huge meadow. You'll feel away from it all here, but close to downtown Kings Beach, and Northstar Ski Resort. Kings Beach has some GREAT lake front restaurants days to hang out, and evening dinners. The beach's are spectacular here and some secluded. There is always something happening at the State Park.

At times I'll stay here and never go anywhere. There are easy walking trails all around the neighborhood. AND whether you bring your dog or not, there are neighbor's dogs that will walk with you. Its super quiet, both day and night which I love, and sitting in the hot tub and watching the wildlife without moving is good entertainment.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We booked this rental on a Tuesday for a long weekend of mountain biking and family fun. The owner responded immediately when I asked if last minute was okay, and sent me the necessary links and info. The house packs a whole lot into a good amount of space! . We found everything we needed for cooking, sleeping and keeping ourselves entertained (there are labels throughout, making it extremely easy to find stuff and remember where to put it back). The house was quiet and private-feeling, with a deck overlooking the meadow, and we really enjoyed that Large HOT TUB!! Highly recommend, and we'll be back next biking season!

We've rented homes 5 times in Lake Tahoe for family vacations of 8-12 people. This time we had 10 adults & 1 3 yr old for a week. This was the best accommodations we've ever had, as follows: 1) It REALLY sleeps 10 adults comfortably, with no bunk beds. There is 2 levels, with “3" kings, 2 queens & extra twin beds in all the rooms but 1. 3.5 full bathrooms/hot water to accomm- -date all of us. The master suite was very nice for G-ma & G-pa. 2) Great location near shops and restaurants in Kings Beach. Easy access to downtown Northstar. 3) Great outdoor space, with no one behind you. Nice patio and deck, with grill & big hot tub. 4) The kitchen and dining space inside was very functional. To me #1, sleeping accommodations is most important for a big group (i.e. no adults have to sleep in bunk beds). It was a super ski trip and this house truly made it that way. I'd come back with my family in a heartbeat!!!

Relaxing and Fun

  • 5 of 5

The listing description was very accurate. The home was generously stocked with everything you would need. The kitchen wasn't lacking for anything.

All the bedrooms were very nice and private, each with good beds. We were able to walk out the back door and take several hikes up the mountain. The private hot tub felt amazing after returning from these hikes.

The house is quiet and very comfortable. I can't think of anything that it is lacking. The owners were very easy to contact and responded quickly to any emails. They even checked in with us a few days before we were due to arrive seeing if we had any additional questions.

It was a very enjoyable weekend stay and I would definitely recommend this and would stay here again if we every have another get away to Lake Tahoe.

The Best

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I came up to Lake Tahoe for our honeymoon, and this cabin was great for us. The decor, amenities, the setting....it is truly everything I ever wanted in a cabin. The bedding was top of line, very comfortable and warm bed. We loved the evening fires we got to make when the air cooled down and we pretended it was winter. The house is plenty warm and cozy. This is the perfect atmosphere to recharge the batteries and reconnect with friends and loved ones. We would just sit and talk for hours- the TV was never used by us but there is satelite and wifi that works perfect. - we are already looking to book dates for next Summer....we hope to return many, many times and with our kids someday when we decide to start a family! We did not want to leave!!

Great group house

  • 5 of 5

Great for a large group!

My friends and I rented this house out for a 6 day 7 night period in Jan. There were ten of us (all 30-35 yrs old, young professionals), and this house was absolutely perfect for our needs.

Inside, this house was huge and very welcoming to a large group. There is easily enough room to sleep 10 people. There is a large living space on the main level that we spent nearly all our time in. The main room is equipped with a pool table, television, and opens into the kitchen. The living room has multiple couches, large fireplace and large dining table. It also opens up to the back deck and meadow. The back deck was very nice with chairs, tables, and of course the hot tub. The kitchen had every ammenity we needed as well.

The other great thing about this house was the location. We were only a mile or two from the Lake. Same with the distance to the casinos. At the end of each night, we had a very short cab ride home. During the day you get a substantial amount of sunlight on the back porch, and although the house is in a neighborhood, it still seems to be a very private house and we had no complaints.

As a new group of renters we were definitely a little weary of renting a place that may have been too "delicate" for that many people. While this house is very well decorated and has a lot of nice furniture and other amenities , it still feels comfortable enough to be able to relax in and not constantly worry about whether you're going to break something.

I would recommend this house to any group of friends, and honestly, I think it would be perfect for a large family or group of families on vacation with kids. Its homely, well maintained, prime location, and truly delivered on everything promised!!!

Summer Fun!

  • 5 of 5

Great location and fabulous house! We had a mini family reunion here…our daughters from Texas, Missouri and Kansas met us at this spacious Lake house for a week of fun! The Kings Beach shops and restaurants are 5 min away….the views of the mountains are just breath taking! The sounds of the trees and birds in the meadow, the amazing sunrises and sunsets….the cool crisp air! AH!! There is a awesome golf course down the street from the house with views you won't find anywhere else! The park was entertaining and our son in law loved the disc golf course, too! We rented bikes nearby and paddle boards for a day, and enjoyed all the festivities on the lake. Loved the hot tub in the evening (especially after our days of hiking and cycling!) The kitchen was furnished with everything we needed....we just brought our groceries and we were set! This house has 5 spacious bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms--just perfect for our family! Sandy helped answer all of our questions and all that she said the place was…it was and more! We will go there again next summer! Clean, spacious, great views, affordable!

What a Vacation!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I rented this house for one week in June. The owners are extremely accommodating and responsive - the dryer was leaking and the property manager was there in 10 minutes after our call, and then called a professional who fixed it.

The house is perfect for families and groups! It is spacious so that you do not feel as though you are on living on top of each other. There are two full floors and three full bathrooms and a 1/2 off of living area! The bottom floor is the main floor and the master bedroom is perfect! The porch was just what we needed every night - unless we were by the fireplace roasting hotdogs and s'mores! We saw so many shooting stars, the kids were amazed. The hot tub was perfect even in the summer - in the winter it must be heaven. The risky group swam in the lake and said it was perfect - I would love to spend time renting a boat on it - but the lake is was great just looking at it!

Lake Tahoe in the summer is gorgeous. We had four kids with us ages 4, 7, 9, and 14 and they went to bed exhausted every night from all the fun activities! Biking, fishing, swimming , hiking, ...it was perfect! The house is right next to a hiking trail as well...I saw two deer and a skunk!

Fly-fishers - my husband caught many, many fish in the Truckee River! Rainbow, Brook and Brown trout. He was out there all day long having the time of his life!

Thank you for a great time.

This house is in the middle of the Northshore and has easy access to all Lake Tahoe has to offer. 1.5 miles from the highway, getting around the Tahoe Basin is effortless. The drive around the Lake is breathtaking and you'll enjoy the different little towns that surround the Lake. . The house is in a quiet pocket of homes just up from the Lake at Kings Beach .All the homes here sit on a meadow with tall pine trees, and the roads dead end at the hiking trails. Winter and summer they are used and maintained by the forest service. It borders the Tahoe Rim trail which is a destination for some with endless hiking trails you can access from the house. Brockway Summit is well know for its path to Tahoe City, and Watson Lake is worth hiking too. You can walk in the summertime to our neighborhood park, North National Park. The park encompasses approximately 124 acres of predominantly active recreational activities. An 18 par fitness course, ball fields, Frisbee Golf, playground are just a few options. In the wintertime they offer a nice sledding hill for tubing and snow fun. Within 20 min to all the ski resorts on the North Shore, Northstar in the closest and newest village. The village was modeled after Beaver Creek Colorado...cobblestone sidewalks, copper roofs and a multitude of restaurants and shops that line the 'square'. The square is an ice skating rink in the wintertime and roller skating in summer. The bon fire pits and outdoor bars are always there. Its a wonderful setting to hang out at especially at night. Skiing here is family orientated with lots of ski programs for all ages, and a pristine mountain that keeps a good grasp on good snow conditions. If your staying a week, I highly recommend taking advantage of the other resorts also. A bonus is from the house you can drive the back way to Alpine and Squaw Valley which will eliminate the morning traffic through Tahoe City. Both mountains have tons of excellent skiing, and mountain biking in the summertime. MT Rose is where to go for open terrain, Diamond Peak for kids and an easy day skiing. Both are 15 min to the house. In the summertime, Kings Beach just down the street is a State Park with lifeguard and lake toys to rent. The beach is the highlight with wide sandy beaches, and views you have to experience to appreciate. There are also smaller beaches up and down the strip for reading a book, and dog beaches for your loved ones. Brockway golf course in Kings Beach is a must for those that just want a good time. One of the top 9 hole courses in California, its known for its yardage and views. In the wintertime the course becomes a snowmobiling park. Tahoe City is 12 miles away and offers another nice city with shops, restaurants and outdoor venues. The Truckee River is our playground for fishing, river rafting, and bike baths to view all. A nice day is renting your bike in Tahoe City and riding to River Ranch. This is a river front restaurant with large outdoor patio at the entrance to Alpine Meadows. Here is where the river tours end and usually where the rafts have issues. You can spend the day here watching the rafters and enjoying their menu and drink. Between the location , amenities of the house, and your favorite family or friends, you'll have a great home to stay at while getting a true Lake Tahoe experience.
