Why Björn Ragnar Lárusson chose Iceland

We have loved this area, and in 2009 my father bought this piece of land and build a nice house on it. Privacy and the view is the the biggest asset plus sitting in the hot pot in the evening after a long day of working or traveling.

What makes this cottage unique

Rather close to Reykjavik area and to major attraction in south west Iceland.

Absolutely wonderful!

Heaven! What a beautiful chalet in a most stunning setting.....we had a wonderful Easter weekend here, totally relaxed.

The sun never stopped shining, we saw the Northern lights, waterfalls, Geysir's, volcano etc etc.

Would 100% recommend this place to family and friends, Iceland is just incredible!

Thank you Björn! :)

Fabulous house in stunning, remote location

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved our stay, the house and location were both beautiful. Warming up in the hot tub with the roof open and taking in the view was very special after a day of touring. Great location for the Golden Circle, it takes longer than you think to get to most places. Only very small criticism was the lack of bedding, more than one pillow case would have been helpful. Advise you take an extra towel to use in the hot tub too. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Exactly what we wanted

  • 5 of 5

This house was perfect for us and had the most important things we wanted: seclusion, beautiful views, and of course the hot tub and fireplace. We only wish we could've stayed longer.

Perfect location to feel part of Iceland

  • 5 of 5

Spent 4 amazing nights in the property and loved every minute of it . Coming back to a beatiful warm home after a long exciting day exploring Iceland was great but also having the log fire and the hot tub with the great view made it perfect and never ceased to amaze us .

If snow is expected then you will definitely be safer with a good 4x4.

Would highly recommend the property 🙂

A beautiful home in a fantastic location

  • 5 of 5

The property had everything as advertised. The view of the mountains was great. We were not lucky to see Northern lights during our stay but they would have been magnificent from this location. We were able to enjoy all of the day trips on our list with a reasonable drive in all directions. Being able to relax in a secluded comfortable home with wood stove and a hot tub was perfect.

Beautiful cottage in the country

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed the home in Iceland! It was very cozy and warm, lots of wood inside so it really felt like a country home. There were very comfortable beds. The fire place was great, we used it every night for lovely warmth.

The kitchen was stocked nicely with pots, pans, utensils, everything you need. The hot tub was amazing! It was very welcome after a day of exploring the Geysir and Continental Divide parks...it was very dreary and cold when we were in Iceland so it was nice to warm up in the hot tub!

Overall, I would absolutely recommend this house. We only wish we had clear skies to see the northern lights and the stars.....this house is so out of the way that there were absolutely no other lights to interfere with star gazing.
