About the property

Casa Grande - luxury vacation home for the discerning family..

Casa Grande lovely holiday house in Italy a part of Casa Antonietto.

Casa Antonietto is an old, but newly restored house made of stones. The oldest part of the house dates back to the 1600s . The restoration was thorough with many of the architectural details preserved. Since the house is situated on a hill it has many different levels which adds to its true charm.

Casa Antonietto consists of three buildings. In the largest structure are rooms used for courses, retreats or meetings. Of the two guesthouses, Casa Grande is the larger, with three double bedrooms and Casa Piccola with one.

The house stands right outside the small village of Coscogno in the midst of a panoramic view of beautiful nature. It is 35 kilometers south of Modena and 50 kilometers from Bologna and its airport. There are lots of exciting trips possible in the area.

There is a unique and special peace around Casa Antonietto which gives wonderful possibilities for relaxing and reflecting. It creates perfect conditions for a holiday with time for absorption, mindfulness and yoga.

Casa Antonietto is in the Emilian hills 50 kilmeters north of Tuscany in Emilia Romagna. It is a part of 'The true Italy' better known as the 'Italian breadbasket'. Do you want to experience Italian culture - the opera in Verona - nature - gastronomy and wine ? If so, then you have hit the target. It is a wealthy region - they produce such tings as quarry tiles, Lamborghini, Ferrari, balsamic vinegar, Parma ham (prosciutto) and the Parmesan cheese.

I live here and would love to guide you when you want.

If you need an active holiday there are many well marked trails for both walking and biking starting right outside the house. Also many good places to play golf. If you feel like drawing or painting there is space in the studio, in the garden, in the forest or down by the river. The rolling hills on the other side of the valley are always a suitable subject for painting or drawing, no matter the time of year.

If you feel like becoming absorbed in Italian cooking we have good contacts with local producers. It is possible to visit and watch the production of Parmesan cheese, balsamic vinegar and Lambrusco wine .. all originated in our area. We also know very good and reasonable restaurants where you may have Sunday lunch with the locals.

Our place is very suitable for a family holiday of several generations who want to spend time together.

Casa Antonietto is also the perfect setting for strategy meetings, small courses or retreats.

CASA GRANDE includes three beautiful double bedrooms with their own toilet and shower.

The house can accommodate up to six adults and an extra child's bed.

The kitchen is connected to the living room, which has a fireplace and conversation area with two sofas.

There is table service for up to ten persons and the table expands.

The kitchen has a dishwasher, a gas stovetop combined with a convection oven and also a refrigerator/freezer.

Guest may borrow a child’s highchair, a foldaway bed, crib and bathtub.

There is direct access from the kitchen to the outdoor dining area and the house’s own pizza oven.

There is also acces to the laundry room where you can wash whenever you wish.

It is of course allowed to use the several large and small terraces around the house and on the common grounds.

The many sunny spots, shady hideaways, barbecue, pizza oven and art studio may be used by all guest.

There are internet access Wi-Fi if you want.

About Lisbeth Myrfeld

I live in another house on the property and so am available to greet my guests and help them (if they want me to) so they can enjoy their holiday. I am happy give advice on places to see and nearby restaurants and towns to visit.

Lisbeth Myrfeld purchased this house in 2006

Why Lisbeth Myrfeld chose Pavullo nel Frignano

The house is an old stone house, but beautifully and completely renovated with all the latest household appliances. The internal walls are white and it has a Scandinavian feel with timber beams giving it that farmhouse origin. It is comfortable and yet architectural designed at the same time.

What makes this house unique

The house is set amongst the gentle rolling hills, and the views are to die for, with the trees and the vines and the valley below visible wherever you look. So even the BBQ looks across the valley below.

A true gem!

  • 5 of 5

If you are looking for a food and wine experience in Italy's most renowned food region, then look no further. Lisbeth is a gracious host with a wealth of connections to restaurants and food producers throughout the area and will gladly arrange reservations and tours. These are local places that few tourist ever get to enjoy. Our family of five experienced several wonderful restaurants, local Parmigiano Reggiano producer, balsamic producer and vineyard all arranged by Lisbeth. We also did day trips to Modena, Bologna and Fanano.

The villa is clean, well appointed and has a spectacular view. For a reasonable fee Lisbeth graciously stocked the kitchen with a few necessary items and prepared a traditional lunch for us upon our arrival. This was a true Italian countryside, non touristy experience not to miss.

One of my Favorite Places on Earth

  • 5 of 5

I love this place so much, I returned for my second visit with my Mom and Sister! I couldn't wait to share my Joy. Lisbeth is one of the best Hostesses and knows the area like the back of her hand. This is truly a special place. My first visit was in Casa Piccola, and this time was in Casa Grande. Both are AMAZING!! The listing photos do not do this place justice. Lisbeth is meticulous about her property and knowledge of her surrounding area. Her homes are immaculately clean and well maintained. The homes could not be more comfortable!

Her restuarant recommendations are on point, so take her advice! I would recommend her property to anyone who wants an authentic Italian Countryside experience, the best food and gorgeous scenery. This place is a gem...I look forward to becoming a regular.

Ciao Ciao,

Foodie heaven in the perfect setting!

  • 5 of 5

We spent the loveliest week in the Emilian hills staying in Casa Grande. Lisbeth, the owner, is a natural for this job - she is well informed , indicating all the best food - we now understand why Bologna is known as la grassa! and tourist addresses in the area -, warm and friendly. The listing does not do the house justice as it is by far the most charming and comfortable holiday let we have stayed in - a lot of thought , care and attention to all the little details that go to make you feel at home. We are smitten. Thankyou HomeAway and thank you Lisbeth. We hope to return and will be recommending it to our friends.

A great place to stay in a lovely area.

  • 5 of 5

Lisbeth, our host, had offered to prepare a meal for us and given that we were on a late flight and would not arrive before 9pm we accepted. The meal was wonderful and featured things that Lisbeth had grown or bought from local suppliers. Lisbeth was great to have around, full of ideas for what we might do and happy to help with things like bookings when our Italian was not really up to the challenge. The house was ideal for us. The kitchen was well equipped and the fridge was massive - plenty of room for all the cherries, peaches, tomatoes, cheese, wine and beer. There are lots of places to sit or lie out, either in the sun or in shade and the large dining table under the terrace provided a lovely setting for our evening meals. There was even a pizza oven to fire up if you're inclined. We ate out a few times and had a great time on each occasion. The general area was wonderful and the local people were so helpful - they always seemed genuinely keen to help us find whatever it was we were looking for. We were around in the middle of the cherry season which means cherries all day and fireflies all evening. There are several footpaths that pass near the property that will take you to nearby villages and further if you choose.

We were very sad to leave and we would all happily book again - and perhaps we will.

Skønt hus i fredlige omgivelser, og smuk udsigt !

  • 4 of 5

  • 5 of 5
