Beautiful apartment in the city center
I loved staying in this property and was there for just over two weeks. It's beautifully appointed and contained everything that I needed. The other highlight is that it is in a fantastic location, right in the middle of the city in beautiful Grey Street. There are cafes right next door for coffee and breakfast, plus all the restaurants and bars you need down the road. The major shopping areas of Newcastle are right near the apartment as well. In the Summer, the city has a carnival type atmosphere, with musicians, outdoor theatre and other activities in the vicinity of the apartment so there is a sense of being right in the middle of the action. You can watch it all from the window. The apartment is also within easy walking distance of Newcastle's main universities. At night the city is surprisingly quiet although there are a few revellers around. However, I didn't find that it was enough to disrupt my sleep, even on a Saturday and I was there for work. Kate, the owner, is great to deal with - responsive and accommodating and I would definitely stay there again if the opportunity arises.
This is luxurious and very well appointed apartment. We really enjoyed the central location and being able to see Grey's column from the window. The service we received from the owner was excellent and efficient. We particularly enjoyed visiting the Laing Art Gallery which is round the corner from the flat and also travelling outside Newcastle on the local buses. For those without a car this is an ideal apartment.
I've stayed in this accommodation a few times. It's really great as a Monday to Friday place if you're a contractor and need a home away from home and I have also stayed a couple of weekends in Newcastle to see life outside the office.
The location is fantastic, it's near all the bars and clubs, theatre royal, transport links and the historic Newcastle points of interest.
The manager of the property is fantastic and really accommodating.
I really can't fault the place. Highly recommended.
