Loved the location

  • 5 of 5

Joe's condo is in a great location in Turtle Cove, a low-key area with easy access to everything on Providenciales. The condo itself is very clean and well-equipped, and as others have said it has everything you need for an easy/relaxing vacation. The Queen Angel is a bit older but is well-kept and the landscaping is beautifully done and lush. The condo development has mostly local residents vs tourists (you can tell by the lack of rental cars in the parking lot), so you'll occasionally hear a baby crying but otherwise it's very quiet and low key. We really wanted to avoid crowds of tourists so this was the ideal place for us.

Within walking distance you have 2 good restaurants (Mango Reef, Tiki Hut), charter fishing and scuba outfitters and more. The Green Bean is the only place to go for coffee/breakfast, and frankly I would avoid it: dirty, bad/slow service and weak "Starbucks" coffee. We brought Sbux instant coffee with us from home and stocked up at the gourmet IGA so we could have breakfast on the condo's patio next to the pool. Much better!

As other reviewers did, we rented a car from Scooter Bob across the street from the condo. The cars are pretty beaten up but they work, and when we encountered a problem they gave us a different car with no hassle and no questions asked. A car is an absolute necessity, and we really enjoyed exploring every corner of the island and checking out the different beaches and neighborhoods.

Overall, we had an amazing vacation and would definitely stay at Joe's condo when we come back.

Perfect Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

This past July, my husband, myself and 2 year old son stayed at Kristin and Joe's Queen Angel condo for a week. The condo itself was very clean, and spacious for the three of us. The kitchen is supplied with everything you would need to prepare any type of meal. The bathroom was also spacious, with linens included. They also have a washer and dryer which came in handy for me! I did my laundry before heading back to New York, which was great! The condo is on the first floor, so the pool was literally right in front of us when we felt like going in. The condo also supplies snorkel gear, beach chairs, umbrellas, and coolers when heading out to the beach. The AC unit works perfectly, we even shut it off at times because it cooled us off enough. The bed was very comfortable, and the den area had a comfy couch where you could watch satellite T.V. The condo also has Wifi, which also worked just fine. We always had a connection. We did rent a car from Scooter Bob's as recommended by Kristin and Joe. They were great, and easy to book before we got to Turks. We ventured out to some of the restaurants around the condo. The Green Bean was a great breakfast spot with great coffee! We also went to the Tiki Hut around the corner for dinner. The beach was about a 10 minute walk from the condo, which had some nice snorkeling, or you can take the car out and check out beaches like Sapodilla Bay, and Leeward beach, 2 of our favorites. All in all, the condo was a great stay for us first timers going to Turks and Caicos. Thank you Kristin and Joe!!

Great unit & location!

  • 5 of 5

My husband & I recently returned from a one week stay at Queen Angel Resort. The unit is very simply & tastefully decorated with everything you need. The queen bed is firm but comfortable. It was immaculately clean. All the appliances worked (we never did turn the TV on). Plenty of hot water and water pressure. If you are a face cloth user then you must bring your own. Literally steps from the pool. Most of the units are occupied long term by working ex-pats so there is little activity making for a peaceful visit. The gardens are just gorgeous and the gardener works all day long, all week long, to keep them in shape. There were some mesquitoes, but not a big deal. I had maybe 3 or 4 bites and they never did bite my husband. You will hear the Bliss Lounge music, pool tables, and clientele on Friday or Saturday nights but it wasn't obnoxious. They are located down below at another property. You can walk to the beach but we opted to rent a car from Scooter Bob's. It is easy to drive on the left and there isn't much traffic. Smith's Reef and Coral Gardens (also called Bight Reef) were cool. You swim right out to them. The Thursday night Fish Fry at The Bight Children's Park was nice with food & craft vendors and music. You could stroll the beach from the Park. Bring plenty of sunscreen with a very high SPF number. The location at Turtle Cove is really perfect for sightseeing around the island. We never felt unsafe & had no problems with anyone. The locals are a quiet people but not unfriendly. All in all, a very nice vacation and highly recommend this condo.

Excellent condo resort

  • 4 of 5

We stayed in the condo during March break. This was a great place, perfect for families with kids who love splashing in the pool. Condo is on main floor, just steps from the pool. I must say it was a bit of a walk from the beach, with kids, strollers and so on, so if you must have a location right on the beach, then you need to book some other place. Otherwise, it is great - well equipped, everything you have at home, you will find in the condo. All the beach gear is there as well, including umbrella and beach loungers. IGA grocerystore is a bit far, but we rented a car and it was ok. Although I was a bit scared of driving on the other side of the road, it's not too complicated :) And once you're driving, you can go visit the island and see all the wonderful beaches they have. Great condo resort!

Condo and TC(Providenciales) is for people to be alone.

  • 4 of 5

We were in this condo from December 28, 2014 until January 10, 2015.

The condo itself was what we expected, except one thing - it was 25-30 minutes walking distance to IGA Graceway store. Not really possible to walk with all your purchases. You have to take a taxi or rent a car. The taxi from Craceway IGA cost us $20. Kitchen in condo has everything you need for cooking.

Condo WIFI wasn’t very fast for a first few days and I was connecting to somebody else’s wifi. But after that it was good. I was even able to download some programs. Without an internet I cannot imagine our life in TC. We connected to our friends and relatives using Skype when we got bored :)

Beach was 10-15 minutes walking distance away. It depends what way you’ll choose to get there. At the beach you most likely will be alone. I guess this is why people go there.

Owner Joseph was good to communicate with. Fast to answer our questions. His aero bed was very helpful for us. Definitely 3-4 people can stay in this condo. Queen bed in the bedroom was kind of squeaky and hard to move without bothering another person.

I would definitely recommend it to somebody who doesn’t want to see or talk to anybody. Who wants to be alone. It’s very quiet place. The only way to go is first floor. There are no elevators in this condominium. Also this condo can be accessed from 2 different entrances. One is the hill side and other is where the parking is. Make sure you tell a taxi driver where to go otherwise hi will take you where that hill is. We had to carry all luggage up to the room. Same happened with groceries.

Overall this condo is in a good location. We have rented a car and did see all island and now can compare what we saw. If you don’t want to pay $1500 a night than this is your place.
