We loved staying at this house in Wilmington - it was everything
we hoped for and more. It was great to get our kids together in such a
beautiful setting. Our son and his wife went on hikes almost every day - there were a lot of options within a short drive. We used the kayaks several times during the week to explore the lake; we even spotted a blue heron and an eagle. We loved playing cards at the gorgeous wood table in the main room and really enjoyed the game room downstairs. We made some great meals in the kitchen and ate out on the deck most nights. The view is spectacular - we were just awed by the beauty of it! We were also so impressed with the builder who had the vision to figure out where to clear trees, where to place windows, etc. We explored Wilmington and the surrounding areas and found some great
places, including the Roost Cafe,, the antique book store, the Jacksonville
farm market and Ward's Cove (a beautiful picnic area overlooking the lake.) We really fell in love with Vermont and look forward to going back again.
This place was a great vacation for our large family and the one place we all agree to return to. We stayed here in July 2013 and couldn't come in 2014. We won't miss 2015! The listing is exactly as described and as beautiful as the photos. The owner is easy to work with, considerate, and made sure our stay was great. The decor was very comfortable and tasteful. The kitchen was fully stocked and amenities were great. We enjoyed many games of pool and foosball and relaxed watching family movies on the big screen. There was always something to do for everyone in the family. We enjoyed hiking, swimming, and rented a 25ft pontoon boat and fished and tubed around the lake-highly recommend it. Also the town of Wilmington is very charming, lots of fun shopping and good restaurants. We loved the Anchor restaurant and the charming 1836 Country Store. We enjoyed the swing and the porch swing, the hammock, the hot tub, and watching the wildlife abound-the birds, many eagle sightings, and a family of turkeys every morning. We highly recommend it for anyone who wants fun and wants to get away from it all.
This was our 2nd visit to Tonys beautiful home in Wilmington. What a wonderful time we spent together at this comfortable, peaceful home! There is everything there to keep us busy for the week that we are there. Actually, a week is never long enough. My husband and myself get to spend a wonderful 7 days with my daughters, husbands, and grandchildren. What a great place for kids. They were having so much fun exploring, hiking, boating and just running around in the yard. None of them wanted to leave. We thank you Tony for another memorable week! It was great to finally meet you this visit. We will see you again. Dianne, Mike and gang
Our large family of 5 adults and 2 five-year-olds (as well as 2 additional adults who slept elsewhere) had a fabulous week at this house. The photographs cannot adequately convey the beauty of the setting, the comfort of the house. Great swimming and boating. The owner was consistently thoughtful and attentive.
If HomeAway had a ten-star system, we would rate it a ten.

Can't say enough about this house and renting from Tony. Absolutely perfect weekend from star to finish. Ushered in by a fresh few inches of snow. View is gorgeous, home spotless and has everything you could ask for. We celebrated my husbands 45th birthday with friends. Went snowmobiling at Mount Snow which I would also recommend highly, a guided tour I believe called High Country right on the mountain. Hot tub was great, sledding with kids right in yard. Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous! Can't wait to return. Tony was a fantastic host, so accomodating the whole process. A+ The Gormans Upton MA
We stayed for a long weekend in summer. This home on a hill above the Harriman Reservoir offers a great view with a large yard. The property description and pictures by the owner is completely accurate. The owner was kind enough to call during our stay to make sure everything was going well. We enjoyed the pool table and hot tub but also staying outside on the chairs and picnic table.
We spent a day on the lake, making use of the kayaks. There are a lot of hiking trails in the vicinity - maps and info were available at the town's tourist office and we tried some closer, easier ones.
We recommend this home to a family with kids or a small group of people who will make the most of the amenities both in the home and in the area. We'll make an effort to go back.
