Foley Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Cabin, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4-5)

This cabin is located directly on the Bon Secour River, in Bon Secour near Foley. Alabama. It is a stilted cabin, which looks out over a bend in the river where birds and wildlife abound. You can fish from the cabin's own dock or bring your boat and explore the river, Bon Secour Bay, Mobile Bay, the intracoastal waterway, or even the Gulf of Mexico. It's also a great river for kayaking.

Gulf Shores and Orange Beach are just minutes away if you need to get away from the tranquility of the cabin. Beaches, golf courses, shopping, outlet malls, nightlife, you name it. Even the Casinos of Biloxi and Gulfport are less than two hours away.

You can even go over to Pensacola Florida and watch the Blue Angeles at the Naval Air Station, only 40 minutes away. At this Bon Secour cabin, you can do as much or as little as you like.

The cabin has a full kitchen, living room with flat screen TV, plus a Flat screen TV in the master. And another flat screen in the second bedroom. Cable included. Queen bed in the master, full size in the second bedroom. You can sit out on the porch overlooking the dock and river or go downstairs to enjoy the river from the porch swing, table and chairs and both a gas and charcoal grill. A boat ramp is located on site.

About Mike McBrayer

My partners and I love to fish. We love boating and just being on the water.

Mike McBrayer purchased this cabin in 2007

Why Mike McBrayer chose Alabama Gulf Coast

This is one very pretty little river. We travel down to the gulf coast constantly. Most of our locations tend to be on the beach or bay so when we happended upon this great place on this terrific river we had to get it. It would be our fishing cabin and we would treat our guest as fellow fishing buds.

What makes this cabin unique

The beach is nice but the Bon Secour River is really what rest and relaxation is all about. Just having the boat steps away is worth it all. Within minutes you can be catching fish or just cruising the river. Even kayaking up river into the fresh water to catch a bass or get a look at a gator. And world class dining is only a couple of miles away over at Tin Top. And of course all that beach stuff is just down the road.

Guestbook comments from the owner

I've been on a whirlwind trip since we left the cabin. I'm not even home yet. We went ATL to Narita, Japan, then I went to Seoul to pick up an airplane and fly it back to Guangzhou, China. The cabin was great! We'll be back in lower Alabama for part of the summer, and I hope that the cabin's available again so that we can stay there. We saw two dolphins swim by the cabin one evening. Too cool!!

What a great place.

  • 5 of 5

My wife and our boys stayed at Mike's Oct. 8-12, 2015. Had a great time. The house is located within 15 minutes of everything. My oldest son and I fished Perdido Pass, Little Lagoon, Bon Secour at Billy's Seafood, and Dixie Bar/Fort Morgan. All withing a few minutes of the house. My wife and youngest went to the Shrimp Festival and outlets (5 minutes away). Dock was great and wildlife everywhere. Wouldn't believe dauphins come this far up, but they came every morning and evening we were there. We will be back. Mike is a great host and Chad Christian and Jason Padgett are great neighbors to have during your stay. Everyone was very nice.

Perfect River Cabin

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spent the winter months at the River Cabin and it is all that the site says and more. Sitting on the deck or on the patio under the house, you not only enjoy the river but the pelicans diving for fish, ducks paddling by, occasional dolphins, and boaters and/or kayakers. We were within 10-15 minutes of the gulf and golf courses. Great places to eat abound and would recommend the Tin Top, Poppa Rocco's, Flora-Bama, and Wintzler's. The owner -Mike- is a pleasure to work with. We can't wait to go back.

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for 4 nights and enjoyed it very much! Close to the beach and attractions, but still quiet and peaceful!! The kids loved fishing off the pier, enjoyed the kayaks, and we had the pool all to ourselves!! The house was clean and had everything we needed!! The owner was easy to work and very nice! We look forward to stating here again!

Perfect time away

  • 5 of 5

I was looking for a stress free, calm, pretty and tranquil place to rest and relax. I sure found it! The accommodations were clean. The bed was comfortable. Sitting on the porch and watching the rain, ducks, turtles, birds and a few boats go by was perfect! Tin Roof in Bon Secour and Fish River Grill in Foley are great places to eat. Groceries are close by and everyone is very friendly. The owner is very nice to work with too! My grown kids came for a day and had a blast kayaking. The pool was clean and quiet. Great place- I will return!

Clean, quiet, very tranquil!

  • 5 of 5

From the moment we pulled in at sunset, we were in love! The cabin's deck and it's attached dock make make for a perfect view of the rising and setting sun! The cabin is in a quiet little setting just moments away from the main highway and close to anything you might want to do in Gulf Shores! We stayed with 4 adults and a 4 year old and couldn't have asked for a better place to be! We utilized the kitchen for multiple meals, as well as the gas grill below the cabin. Each morning, we would sit out on the deck to watch the sunrise and enjoy all nature had to offer! We saw dozens of turtles, fish, crabs, and my mom swears she saw a dolphin, too! The on-site pool is also great! Much better than being covered in sand! My only wish would be that the cabin would be big enough to bring more family down with us! :) We also recommend local eateries such as Tin Top Restaurant in Bon Secour, Chick and Sea Foods in Foley, and Doghouse Grille in Gulf Shores! We also recommend going on the Surf's Up Dolphin Cruise... talk about amazing! Don't get conned into staying in a condo on the beach that's 3x the price!! THIS is the way to truly experience Alabama! Thank you SO much to the owner for allowing us this amazing place to stay!
