Overview

About the property

Cabin, 1 Bedroom, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2)

Pisgah Paws - This mountain cabin has its own little perch upon the mountain, nestled in the midst of the Pisgah National Forest. This cabin is named after Mt Pisgah which is the Third tallest mountain east of the Mississippi. The Mt Pisgah tower lights can be seen while sitting in the hot tub, epecially in the winter. The secluded porch ensures your privacy while allowing you to enjoy the mountain views from your hot tub. The Pisgah Paws has a wooded view you can sneak peeks of the distant mountains and have long range views in the winter. It looks away from the other cabins above the bank of rhododendrons. The Pisgah Paws faces Mount Pisgah with views of the giant mountain in the winter. Enjoy the breezy afternoons of summer and the excellent colors of fall and spring. The fall views of the leaves and mountains turning orange, yellow, and red are particularly nice. Spring flowers greet you on your drive in and while you stay. A pet is by no means required to stay in this cabin, but if you do bring your pet, please bring your portable kennel with you so your pet will be happy, should you go exploring the city or the woods. The Pisgah Paws is pet-friendly!

Wonderful time

  • 5 of 5

My boyfriend and I walked into the cabin and loved it the first moment we saw it. It was clean, very well maintained, nicely furnished, cozy, and relaxing. The kitchen had all the utensils and appliances that we needed. The bed and futon were very comfortable, and all the channels on the TV were great. The best part was the large hot tub. A 6 person hot tub for the two of us was so relaxing, and the grill was well maintained and clean. I would def. recommend this cabin. We plan on going back...we wish we didn't have to leave in the first place

Great Cabins

  • 5 of 5

This was our second stay in the Pisgah Paws cabin. We are from Wisconsin and have rented several different cabins through the years in Tennessee, Arkansas, Georgia and North Carolina. These are the cleanest and most welcome of all the past cabins we have rented. We enjoyed the secluded wrap around deck with the hot tub. The dogs could be free to wander on the deck without having to worry about their well being. Fantastic and relaxing.

Small cabin for the price. Beautiful views.

  • 3 of 5

The cabin was very small for the price. Apartment size stove. No place for groceries. I pay half that in the Smokys for much bigger cabin. The view was very nice. Jets in hot tub were VERY weak. Ice maker didn't work. No ice cube trays. Knob for bathtub was broken. Didn't like we had to start laundry, thought that's what the cleaning fee was for. Gravel dirt road leads to cabin had big pot holes. I would not pay to stay here again.

Owner's Response: Thank you for coming to stay with us and thank you for the review. We try to maintain our cabins and hot tubs very well the jets on the hot tub may have been off or the air to the jets off which will make them not spray as hard or at all. We have scraped the road to the cabin and also paved the section of road that leads down the hill to the hiking trail and national forest. As for the laundry we do ask guest to start it, one reason is so they make sure they don't forget to get items they may have left in the bed or near the bed and also so we can keep the cleaning cost low to maintain a low cost cabin option near Asheville. We do pride our self with the great views and quaint couples cabins. Thanks again!

Clean, Comfy, Cozy, & Affordable

  • 5 of 5

My boyfriend and I chose to spend his birthday at Pisgah Paws and when we walked in, the mood was set--the TV was on and set to a nice Christmas music station, the fireplace was burning, and the hot tub was heating! You really can't get any better than this. Pisgah Paws was clean, comfy, cozy, and affordable. I really couldn't ask for more. On arrival I was very impressed with the privacy and overall set up. The 20 minute drive to Asheville was not an issue for us and we visited Downtown Asheville and The Biltmore Estate during our stay. We also found time to hike. I would definitely stay at Pisgah Paws again and am looking forward to it.

Owner's Response: Hi Shan, We're glad that you were able to bring your boyfriend for a nice relaxing getaway on his birthday. There really are so many choices of hiking trails being that we are located only 4 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway. Then, what better way to relax than a nice long soak in the hot tub. Thanks for staying with us, and thanks for the great review! We hope you have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Cabins of Asheville

The cabins were very quaint and had everything you need. My only issue was It says cabins of Asheville and the drive is quite far but we extremely close to hiking and other great activities. We only went to Asheville twice during our week stay. We enjoyed the propane fireplace and the hotter in the evening which after hiking was very relaxing. What we loved most was we had our 2 dogs with us.

Owner's Response: Thanks for your review Laurie! We are not trying to deceive anybody with our name, and we apologize if you feel we have. We searched for just the right piece of property to put our cabin on for about 10 years. We wanted three things: 1)to be within 20 minutes of Asheville 2)to touch the Pisgah National Forest 3)to be close to the Blue Ridge Parkway. This location fit all three. We are glad that you enjoyed the hot tub. It is a nice way to relax. Thanks, Cabins of Asheville

Great log cabin architecture in a very private setting. Great location with a short drive up to The Pisqah Inn where we enjoyed fresh mountain trout and a spectacular view!. Only 20 minutes from Asheville but a world away. We highly recommend Pisqah Paws and will be back next summer!
