Relaxing setting, beautiful Log home

  • 5 of 5

I just recently spent the weekend at the cabin with my wife and two small children.

The cabin is laid out for relaxing and entertaining with friends and family. Although, we took this trip alone, we could have easily accomodated more then a few extra guest. There is huge kitchen laid out nicely for cooking large meals. There is plenty of cooking ware, plates and utensils for a large crew. I especially enjoyed the espresso machine for my afternoon cup of joe!

The property is filled with amenities. It was nice to just hang out and relax while listening to Christmas music over the whole house audio system. It really added to the atmosphere. The house also has wireless internet access which was great to check the weather and skiing conditions (and emails). We enjoyed other features as well such as the pool table and outdoor Nordic hottub. I even payed a few songs on the piano downstairs.

The skiing was great. Sunday river is only about 10 minutes away and it is an easy trip to and from the mountain. My wife and daughter spent the whole day skiing while I stayed back at the cabin and took care of our youngest. Sledding on the property was alot of fun too!

The property was very quiet which is sooo nice. About the only thing we could here from the road was the snow plow going by. The other really nice feature is that they have a driveway alarm that sounds when some one comes up the driveway over the bridge leading to the house. It sounded off even when my wife and daughter went for a walk. The bridge is the only access to the property from the road so that was very comforting.

So overall, we were very happy with our stay and will definitely be back to enjoy the cabin some more!

Everything we wanted it to be and more!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time at this property. It was exactly as advertised. The house was clean and we liked it it wasn't overly decorated. The kitchen was well stocked which we really liked. The hot tub was perfect. The owner was very easy, and the check-in and check-out process was so easy. We can't wait to stay here again.

Best time in years

The property is majestic and was a perfect venue for our wedding. The river and area provide so much and relaxing was not a problem. Marc was so accommodating and his cabin should be on your places to visit if you love Maine.

This place is beautiful

  • 5 of 5

6 of us ladies rented this beautiful log cabin last fall. We were all so impressed when we drove up the driveway. The pictures of the place are real nice but it is much prettier in person.

There is so much to do in the cabin that you really don't want to go anywhere.

Kitchen area is big and beautiful. I just can't say enough about this place. You have to see it to fall in love with it.

We will be going back again in 2015.

Marc is a pleasure to do business.

All I can say is Marc thank you so very much for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Thank you

Perfect Vacation Rental

  • 5 of 5

It's been tradition for the last few years for a large group of friends and I to gather at a cabin in Maine as a small retreat from the hustle and bustle of office life. We rent a place for 4-5 days in some rural area of Maine, which is a good 4-5 hour drive from our homes in Connecticut. Upon finding this cabin, I immediately contacted Marc and from the beginning, working with him was a professional, pleasant, and rewarding experience. Admittedly our group tends to have trouble finding a place to stay as we are a group of about 14-16 young professionals in our mid to late twenties. I have come across several owners who are unwilling to even consider our offer of rental upon hearing our age. Marc however was very understanding and accommodating. I assured him that we have been doing this for years with no "black mark" persay our on records as renters. We are a quiet group just looking to get away, generally spending our time hiking, cooking, and lounging. We were beyond pleased that Marc was willing to give us a shot, and definitely were not disappointed upon arrival.

The house was in immaculate condition, very spacious (important to such a large group), with ample sleeping space and luxury amenities galore. We utilized the modern kitchen at every opportunity, constantly played music through the surround sound speakers, and had the remote controlled fireplaces going to provide a cozy ambiance in the evenings. The house is set back a ways from the main road for ideal privacy, as well as being conveniently located literally minutes from Grafton Notch State Park, one of our favorite attractions in the area for hiking. There is a large tv and pool table in the basement giving the area a bit of a "rec room" feel, as well as a beautiful wooden bar. The main floor has a large sectional in the middle centered around a fireplace (not a tv! which personally I loved). In past rentals, seating the group together was difficult, but the sectional provided us with space to all gather comfortably and relax. The bedrooms provided all the storage you could need, with en suite bathrooms for each, and the futons and pull out couches allowed for all to sleep comfortably. Of course, one of our favorite amenities was the hot tub out on the porch, which was definitely utilized every day. Five Stars for sure! Definitely check this place out.

Thanks again Marc for giving us a shot. Your home is beautiful and we are certain to be returning again this year if you will have us!
