Breckenridge Condo Rental Photos and Description

Columbine 202: 2BR/2BA/Sleeps 8

Park the car for the week and hit the slopes! Our two bedroom two bath Condo is perfect for those who would rather be skiing than driving, parking, or waiting for the bus. We are a short three minute walk to the Quicksilver Lift at the Breckenridge Peak Nine Base. And, when you're done skiing you can enjoy the free wireless internet access and shop Main Street Station and the rest of downtown Breckenridge - just a block away!

This two bedroom two bath condominium at 'The Columbine' sleeps eight comfortably. The master bedroom contains a queen-size bed. The second bedroom contains a queen bed and twin bunk beds. Both bathrooms are renovated with large vanities. Both bedrooms offer plenty of closet space. The living area contains a queen-size sleeper sofa. The gas fireplace is romantic and easy to operate. Head out to the deck to relax amidst the pines. The renovated kitchen is fully equipped with updated appliances, cabinets, and solid surface counter tops.

Walk to the slopes for a day of great downhill skiing. If cross-country skiing is more your style take the shuttle up ski hill road and you'll find the Breckenridge Nordic Center just below the Peak Eight base area. Also just a short shuttle ride away is the Frisco Nordic Center.

This Condo is fabulous in the summer too. Breckenridge has an exciting year round schedule which includes a film festival and summer concerts. Hiking is available on the adjacent White River National Forest and the Gore-Eagles Nest Wilderness Area is nearby. A bike path runs from Breckenridge to Vail. Mountain bike trails are available on the White River NF. Bike rentals are available in town. Other activities such as golf, horseback riding, river rafting, hot air ballooning, 4X4 tours, hay rides, and more are nearby. At the end of the day you can fire up the grill out back and enjoy a relaxing dinner before you hit the hot tub or pool.

About Arlene & Jay Moss

We are Jay & Arlene Moss, the owners. We live in Colorado Springs. We love to ski as much as life with three kids allows us to. Between lacrosse games, scouting and church events and all kinds of kid stuff we get up to Breckenridge whenever we can sneak away. In 2004 we were finally able to buy a condo that holds the family and our kids' friends. The condo is close enough to the slopes that we all can head home when for lunch and if the kids decide to quit for the day we don't have to worry about them. If the kids want to head downtown to Crepes a la Cart or some other shopping we don't have to drive! Jay and I can relax and head to the hot tub to soak. We are sure you will love Breckenridge as much as we do. We hope you build some wonderful family memories while you are here.

Why Arlene & Jay Moss chose Breckenridge Area

We love being so close to the slopes, but nestled in the trees away from traffic and crowds. During the summer you are a stones throw from hiking and biking, but you can walk right downtown for some shopping or a dinner out. It's the perfect balance in location.

Clean basic condo in a really good location

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay. The condo is bigger than the pictures show. Kitchen is well equipped and the parking is safe and secure. Minutes walk to all the shops and restaurants I would book again.

Great Vacation!

  • 5 of 5

What great memories that were made!

This condo was easy to book and stay in. The owners are very responsive and easy to work with. We were delayed a day getting out due to car trouble, but Arlene graciously moved our days at no charge. By doing this she allowed our vacation to not be cut short and we were still able to enjoy what we had planned. One thing that was close and a must do was the Country Boy Mine. When in Colorado you have to visit a gold mine because that is what the state was built on. Glad we did that.

Our family of four was comfortable and we still could have added 3-4 more kids. It was clean and comfortable. The microwave didn't work, but I was able to share that with the owners so they could resolve the issue. This was not a problem as most of the food we bought we were cooking anyhow. I was informed that thanks to my information they had purchased another and were going to have it installed. Communication is key from both parties and that is what we did. I know that if there is a problem they will get it fixed in a timely manner.

Only one suggestion that I can think of would be to have more comfortable deck furniture. In the winter you are not going to be out there much, but in the summer the weather is nice and the back deck is shaded. Great place to be and we would have more if the seating was more comfortable, but this is not a deal breaker.

We visited in the summer, so I'm not sure how close to ski lifts are, but I think there is one relatively close. But, for summer it was walking distance to downtown and we went down there often.

Thank you again and we hope to be back soon.

Owner's Response: We are so glad you had a good time! You made it so easy on us, so we look like good hosts because we had good guests. I am still feeling so bad about the microwave, but truly appreciate you letting us know so we can get it fixed rather than be in for a surprise next time we come up. Great idea on the deck furniture! We'll take look around and get something better to take up on our next visit. Thanks for being such great guests. Come back soon!

Walk to lifts perfect

  • 4 of 5

The easy short walk to lift makes this an ideal location. And we walked to dinner one night too. Much easier than trying to find a parking spot in town. Love the cozy comfortable condo. We will be back!

Great location, great price, well equipped condo

  • 5 of 5

This is our 6th year staying in this condo for a ski week. Location is close to lift, so we walk to/from lift to condo in less than 5 minutes. Condo is well equipped, everything works, and it is kept up to date inside. Owners are very responsive. Can't ask for more.

Owner's Response: We LOVE our return visitors. It has been great having folks stay year after year. They help us figure out what improvements to make. We've even had some vote to help us pick when we have more wishes than budget.

Great location

  • 4 of 5

Great location - walking distance to lifts and downtown. Clean, nice hosts, the condo had everything we needed. We really could have stayed longer. Only reason this place didn't get 5 stars from me is that the walls were pretty thin and we could hear people going up and down the stairs. This isn't really a huge problem because the condos are quiet in general. Most likely, everyone is so tired after long days of skiing that they head for bed early like we did, but I did have to use my sound machine one night as someone in a nearby unit kept going up and down the stairs. This would not keep me from staying again. If you are sensitive to this just bring ear plugs or a sound machine and you should not have too much of a problem.

Owner's Response: We are so glad you liked the condo. Those ski boots on the stairs are noisy! I can't deny that. I love a nice white noise app on my phone that I use when I travel. Great advice! I may add that to our tips for renters. Come back soon!
