It was a very convenient location, close to restaurants and attractions. Very cozy house, beautiful property with some cliffs in the back providing beautiful backdrop.
We enjoyed our cabin stay! After days of skiing and exploring, it was nice to have such a cozy and comfortable place to come home too.
My family and I spent two nights here-we wanted to get out of the city for Halloween. We enjoyed the beautiful fall scene through out the property and the starry nights. The house was clean, the back/side yard had ample space for our children (2 &5 )to run around/play. They enjoyed raking/collecting leafs and making big piles to jump in :) There is a nice big fire pit which we used. Theres good heat through out the house for cold nights.
The house has no wifi/great if you want to disconnect and our (verizon) cell phone coverage was spotty at best-but there is a landline.
Barbara was accomodating and bill was very helpful.
What a great place!
If you are looking for a place where you can unplug and totally relax this is the place for you. The house is comfortable has all the amenities necessary and is so charming, each room seems to lead to another room. Our favorite place was the porch, each morning we would turn up the tunes (Barbara has an awesome selection of Buddha Bar CD's) and allow the sounds to travel outside while we enjoyed the final days of summer. Thank you Barbara for opening your place to us!
We had the pleasure of staying in Barbara's beautiful mountain home. Comfortable, spacious, inviting, warm, easy to find your way and make it your own for a few days are just a few words that we would use to describe our stay. Barbara was an absolute pleasure to deal with. helpful, kind, responsive, available, and informative with all the different questions asked. The location was near to many great sites and hiking trails. We enjoyed lazier mornings of coffee and outdoors as we really just slowed down and enjoyed the company of each other. A true gem in all ways, shapes, and sizes!
A great place for hikers, bikers, skiers, artists, writers, poets, cooks, bakers or folks wanting to get away for peaceful solitude, or plan a fun vacation with friends. Near all warm weather activities and close to all Catskills ski resorts for snowy winter stays. 15mi. to Woodstock, Phoenicia and many small towns in between!
Other Activities: Rock climbing, skiing, tubing and spas
Golf: Several 4 star rated courses in the area
Stone Dock ; Wiltwyck ; Alapaha ; New Paltz ; Nevele Grande ; Apple Greens ; Dinsmore
Ski: Belleayre and Hunter are both wonderful day trips from the house. Nestled just about half way in between the two locations, either destination works -or- trying both is fun for mixing things up. Enjoy the scenic drive in the morning and relaxing at the end of the day coming to the full kitchen for fun dinners with friends~
