About Kevin Perry
The Panacea was completed in October 2018 by Kevin & Krissa Perry. We both grew up around the Paris, TX area in small towns. We both graduated Paris Junior College with Associates Degrea in Nursing. We have had a vacation home in Hochatown since 2007 and have been coming to Hochatown and Broken Bow Lake area for many years prior. We have worked in the Healthcare Industry since 1992 and owned our own business since 1994. Healthcare being our primary business we have also worked in commercial and residential real estate since 2001 and a retail business since 2014. We have had the privilege of having spent a lot of quality time with our family and friends and have made some great memories in Hochatown over the years. One paticular was watching our son and his friends grow up there spending many days on the lake and in the woods. With the recent growth we have seen in the area there are so many more things to enjoy, but not to many beat spending the day on the lake or a hike through the woods then ending it sitting around a campfire making smores and telling stories. Hochatown and the lake area is such a family-oriented place where you can spend time unwinding, and reconnecting. Having owned our own business, we really needed a place to go to de stress and just get away. There were even times when we were hesitant in going to the Cabin but as soon as we pulled into our drive it was an instant relief and could almost feel the weight lifted off our shoulders. My wife and I would always look at each other and at the same time and say, “I’m glad we came”. We have had the privilege of traveling to many places around the world and we always enjoy coming back to our cabin in the woods in Hocahatown OK and living the HochaLife!

Great place for couples get away!
Perfect place for a couples get away! The cabin definitely had a wow factor! Great space inside and outside. Good times!
You will have no regrets. Highly recommend!
Who knew Oklahoma could be so good?
To be fair, I had pretty low expectations about Broken Bow (Hochatown) in general and it has been my experience with VRBO listings that often the houses are less desirable than the pictures describe (condition, location, amenities, etc).
So happy that was not the case on this trip. Hochatown was fantastic. It was like a mini Colorado in the fall before the big snow hits. Great trails to hike, beautiful scenery, and a laid back charm.
And the Panacea cabin was far, far better than we had hoped for. The condition of the property was like we were the first guests to ever stay there...not a single blemish...I dare you to even try to find a water spot on a wine glass. We love to cook and experience has taught me that even when staying at the most exclusive vacation properties, the kitchens are poorly equipped with kitchenware....so I generally bring with everything I need. Not only did I not need what I brought with, I think the Panacea kitchen is as well equipped as my own home. Spacious floorplan, comfy beds, tankless water heater supplying endless hot water, fast WiFi (which is uncommon in those parts), and tons more. For the first couple hours after check-in, we kept finding new surprises and saying “wow, did you see that it has _____”. Also, The property manager Bonnie is an absolute gem. Super accommodating, friendly, and responsive.
Would absolutely go to Hochatown again and when we do, there is only one place we will stay - Panacea.
Thank you for taking the time to write such a complimentary review of The Panacea. We love to see reviews like yours and we are very happy to hear you enjoyed the cabin, all of its amenities as well as Hochatown. We love to travel and we wanted to make The Panacea that place where you could go and just relax and enjoy the surrounding area without worries. Yes we think Bonnie is great also. She really takes pride in managing the properties and making sure our guess have all they need to make their stay enjoyable.
Thank you and we hope to have you again.
This house was Amazing! They had it decorated for Christmas! Loved it.
Thank you for staying with us and your review. Happy you enjoyed your stay and the Christmas decorations. Happy New Year to you and your family.
The design of the cabin (outside and inside), to the amenities, to every attention to detail was phenomenal. The cabin has massive appeal. My family stayed her for Christmas (23-26) and it was simply fantastic. Can't say enough great things about it. It made it a special Christmas this year. We will definitely stay here again.
Thank you for staying with us at The Panacea and for writing such a kind review. We are happy to hear you enjoyed your Christmas Holiday stay and hope to have you again. Happy New Year to you and your family.

If Chip and Joanna built a perfect cabin in Broken Bow......
The best way I can describe this place is my review title. This cabin is the vibe you want.
We traveled here in mid December and the easiest way to put it is it felt like Christmas walking into it. Not just Christmas, but like Christmas at a house built by folks that thought of every little amenity, decorated everything on trend, and just added the wow factor to as many parts of the cabin as possible.
This cabin is PERFECT for a weekend or longer getaway for couples. There is no "Master Bedroom" because they are ALL master bedrooms. Each with a ridiculously comfortable bed, large flatscreen, beautiful bathrooms with walk in showers containing multiple shower heads, everything classic/comfortable feel but also updated with subtle and unique features.
The kitchen and family/dining room is HUGE, and will make you feel stupid for bringing all the gear you think you would need to bring to a regular rental home. Really. All you need to bring is the food, and Maybe any seasoning outside of salt and pepper you want. That's IT.
The patio is insane, huge, has two tv's for those on each end of the patio. It has a great gas fireplace and grill set up and then an appendage off the back side of it containing the hot tub.
Great fire pit area below the deck on the edge of the trees, stocked with wood, and horeshoe throwing area next to it, all lit up with string lights hanging from the trees.
Among the dozens of "wow, they thought of everything" moments, there are only two areas of improvement I could think of, one really also an advantage, and one is absolute nitpicking.
First, the location is probably 100 yards or so from the main highway through town. So yes, naturally that might sound bad if you really are set on "going to the cabin in the woods" but honestly it turned out to be a really big advantage, as it is so close to everything in Hochatown, that it makes it so easy to just decide to do this activity or that activity. You don't have to invest in a 20-30 min drive to and from anything. Just pick up and go. And for those like myself that do need that peace of the wild outdoors, we were literally a 5 min car ride from an awesome trout fishing and hiking spot. Caught trout nonstop for 3 hours.
The second improvement is super nitpicky but installing a pair of heaters on the overhead beams on the back porch would make the whole porch more accessible in winter instead of only in front of the fireplace.
Wow! Thank you so much for your complimentary, very detailed, kind review. I also want to thank you for choosing to stay with LCP at The Panacea. We are all very happy to hear that you found the cabin and its amenities to be all you had hoped for and more. This is our goal for all of our Lost Creek Properties. We love to have others come experience and enjoy this beautiful area as much as we do. Thank you for your idea of placing over head heaters on the deck, I am looking into that as well as a few other things that might help make this area even more enjoyable.
Thank you and we hope to have you all again.
Absolutely gorgeous cabin
My wife and I visit Broken Bow several times per year. This is by far the most beautiful cabin that we have ever used. All of the amenities were top notch and the owner thought of everything. My only complaint would be the location. It sits off of a very busy road which detracts from total privacy and there is some road noise. That being said, I would stay here again and would recommend it to anyone.
Thank you for choosing to stay with us at The Panacea and for taking the time to review.
I am happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay and we would be happy to have you again. Sorry about the traffic, we are experiencing a lot of growth in the area. We will be paving the road in front of the cabin which will cut down on the noise and when the building slows in the area the traffic will as well.
Google The Panacea Cabin Broken Bow, OK for directions. On Google it shows its on Pinion Rd. this is incorrect it also shows the address as 117 Lost Ceder Creek Trail which is also incorrect and we are working trying to get this info corrected. The correct address is 117 Lost Cedar Trail and all you have to Google is The Panacea Cabin Broken Bow OK without the physical address and it should pull up.
