3A Redcliffe is very comfortable, relaxing and welcoming.The most spacious of all the apartments in the complex. Situated so, so close to the sea. Listen to the waves and smell that fresh sea air!

We have wi-fi!

The good size lounge includes two settees, the three seater is a bed settee, a 32" smart TV, DVD and a Hi fi system. The modern well equipped kitchen has an electric double oven cooker, an induction hob, an under worktop fridge with small freezer box, a microwave and a washing machine. There is a dining area alongside the kitchen. The dining table seats 6.

Also included an electric tower heater, travel cot, baby bath,booster seat.

There is a large bathroom with a separate shower and a full size bath and toilet.

Lots of storage space, including a useful walk in cupboard. Buckets and spades, children's games, toys and books.

There is secure parking and the property has its own private back entrance with an attractive outside area of colourful flowers and shrubs. All electricity is included in the price with ample heating for the cooler periods of the year. A payphone is located at the entrance of the building. Perfectly situated for family holidays and walkers alike with the coastal paths easily accessed from the beach. Caswell Bay has a lifeguard patrol during the peak season. At one end of the bay is a friendly café offering tasty home made snacks and delicious Italian coffee! We love staying here, we hope you do too!

Myself? Not that interesting really. Brought up further west, actually as far as you can go in Wales. Just outside Fishguard and about 2 miles from the nearest beach!

Trained as a nursery/infant teacher. But most of my time worked for Action for Children which I found very rewarding. Once retired I was ready for another challenge and that came by letting out our apartments which we had bought with the intention of spending time in as we had moved away from the Gower and my son was missing his friends and thought this would be such a wonderful base. For my husband and myself too, as the Gower Peninsular is such a lovely place. He is very practical so his skills come in handy when repairs have to be done without delay!

We have now returned to the area but still love going down to the apartments even if it's only to clean!

Why Auriol Williams chose Wales

The location says it all! It is difficult to find another apartment with these sea views. I think it's unique but if there is any better I've not found it!

What makes this apartment unique

It is quiet yet just 5 minute drive will take you to the hustle and bustle of Mumbles village with its abundance of shops and restaurants and a 12th century castle. I love the fact that it is not a sea glimpse apartment view between roof tops! The bay is there before you, uninterrupted with no another building in sight. A private access takes you to the beach and to the left and right of the bay wonderful coastal walks. One will take you to Mumbles with lots of coffee shops along the way. Yesterday we saw 4 seals lying on the rocks near Limeslade. 3 others were swimming alongside. A real treat we don't usually see that number!

Great apartment, views and location; lovely owners

My wife and I travel frequently and we think the 2A Redcliff apartment is one of the nicest we have ever stayed at.

Apartment - We stayed in 2A, which has a modern but very comfortable decor. Furnishings and appliances are of excellent quality. Layout is very good, and can accomodate three comfortably. The photos on the website accurately reflect the apartment, as well as the nearly beaches and hikes.

View - Spectacular view over Caswell Bay and its beach. It is uplifting to see the beach, ocean and sky out of the very large living room windows.

Owners - Auriol and Hugh (owners of 2A and 3A) are lovely people who renovated the apartments and treat the apartments and, most importantly, their guests with great care.

Location - You are literally above Caswell beach and bay, with hikes up the hills on either end of the beach. Short drive to other spectacular beaches and hikes. Near the town of Mumbles, a very cute, small village for shopping and restaurants. The entire surrounding area is extremely pleasant and picturesque.

Recommendations - Great for a couple escaping the city and equally wonderful for families with children.

Pricing - We felt that the apartment was great and is very fairly priced. We actually felt it was underpriced, but the owners are more interested in quality tenants and are not looking to extract the maximum from those who visit.

Overall - We highly recommend this apartment. If questions, you can contact the owners. My wife and I, who never met the owners before our visit, were so impressed by them and the apartment that we would be pleased to answer any questions about our visit. You can write to:

Mumbles 12th century castle open during peak season - well worth a visit. Coastal walk from Swansea bay all around the peninsular as far as your legs will take you!
