Absolutely perfect property in every way.

A beautiful property in lovely countryside. The gite was very comfortable with everything you could possibly need for a stay. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms clean with great showers. It was lovely to be able to sit out in the garden for supper or a drink and watch the chickens. I would highly recommend the Blue Bee as a place to stay. In addition Patricia and Didier were absolutely charming and very welcoming. The bottle of wine and jar of home made jam were very welcome. Thank you a lovely break.

My wife and I stayed the last week in August 2018. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were given a very warm welcome by Didier and Patricia. They were very determined to make us feel very welcome. The property is in a small rural community and is perfect for a French rural holiday. Everything we needed was on site. There is a nice garden for enjoying the outdoor life. It has good car parking space too. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the property is in reality, more impressive than is suggested by the photographs on the website. A five minute drive gets you to the local village and a little further brings you to good shopping in Carrefour and Lidl. Equally important to our enjoyment were our hosts Didier and Patricia. They did everything they could to make our stay a memorable one. They were on hand whenever we needed them. On our last night we got together for a soiree. It was a great night and was the perfect end to a perfect week. Overall it was a great place to stay and we had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday. Brian.

A Jewel In the Countryside

  • 5 of 5

We chose this attractive house in a rural location because it looked peaceful and pleasant. It was! The house has lovely grounds around it, and a quiet private patio in back. Just the right setting to unwind. Its location was ideal for exploring chateaux in the area, or going to Farmer's Markets, Troglodyte sites, or wine tasting. The house has everything we needed and is nicely furnished. It has modern bathrooms and up to date appliances. But, what we will remember most is that the owners who live next door are wonderful! They have helpful suggestions and are very nice to get acquainted with. We found a bottle of good local wine upon our arrival, and Patricia's

home made jam. We hope to be able to return to this cozy home we shared with two good friends!

Owner's Response: Karen and Steve, Margaret and Ken, When you leaved Blue Bee - in perfect conditions - we knew that, four lovely persons, four jewels had gone back to the United States. It has been so easy to welcome you, and, reading your comment we know that, now,on the other side of the ocean we earned four friends. You consolidate us in our desire to meet other people of different origins. Thank you ! We hope to see you again, here, in France, in Oregon or Washington state. And congratulations to all four of your prowess in the language of Molière! Avec nos amitiés, Didier et Patricia

A fabulous experience. A lovely property with equally lovely hosts..

  • 5 of 5

We had nothing short of a remarkable stay at The Blue Bee. The property was quaint and peaceful, and the hosts Patricia and Didier were absolutely lovely. The cottage was beautifully decorated and meticulously appointed. Every time we went looking for something we found it easily and it was in impeccable condition. Patricia and Didier have obviously put a tremendous amount of thought and care into this property and it really shows. My only reluctance in strongly encouraging anyone visiting the Loire Valley to stay here is that it may not be available when we book it next year; which we are definitely going to do.

Country charm, peaceful elegance

  • 5 of 5

Four American friends, one couple from California and one from Alaska, traveling together to the Loire chose this charming place by the photos and reviews. Neither does this lovely home justice. Didier and Patricia are so kind and hospitible we immediately felt welcomed as if we were old friends. The house was immaculate and fully equipped. When we arrived, we had had car trouble, and Didier was so helpful in translating our phone calls to the rental company. We could not have done it without him! Patricia showed us around her lovely gardens. We enjoyed our coffee in the morning on the patio, to the sound of birdsongs. If you are looking for a really first class experience enjoying the Chateaux of the area, this is the place to stay. Merci beaucoup Didier and Patricia. We hope you come to visit us in California and Alaska!

Owner's Response: Dear Joan, Your stay was brief, however, we sympathized immediately! With Will, Jim and Stephany, you form a team of irresistible friends! We hope that you managed to obtain a new vehicle to continue comfortably your trip in France. Thank you for the care which you brought to the holiday cottage ; we are very happy that it satisfied yourselves. If we go to California or Alaska, that is for sure, we shall try to contact you.
