At the feet of the 'Baux de Provence', in a small quiet village, Sigrid and Robert offer a guest room in the 17th century part of this typical Provencal villa, restored according to the traditions. Around the mas is a big garden, an orchard and a beautiful 20 meters long stone swimming pool.
Unit 1 is 26 m² wide, tastefully decorated and cooled by a huge fan. It has a queen size bed (made of 2 single beds that can be split), fireplace, library, TV and video. There is a nice bathroom in marble stone with a large shower, and private stairs leading to a private patio full of flowers.
Unit 2 is 32 m² wide, originally decorated and cooled by two fans. It also has a splitable queen size bed, TV and video. The bathroom is in Egyptian marble stone with a large shower. The unit has a 14 m² covered (and furnished) terrace overlooking the garden.
The large Breakfast is made with our own kitchen garden products.
Good location for many excursions in the Provence and a great place to come back to each day or just to hang around and relax. Big garden, beautiful pool, just two rooms rented out so it offers a lot of privacy. After many meals in one of the many good restaurants in the area we also enjoyed the amenities of the outdoor kitchen to do our own cooking. The heart of the picturesque village and all the shops you need is only a short walk away.
Rooms are very big and homely.
We really enjoyed our time in Paradou as Sigrid ensured it was a very memorable and special holiday. The beautiful pool and completely charming atmosphere made for a wonderfully relaxing stay.
We spent a week at Sigrid's place - wish it had been two!
The house and garden are beautiful, the pool is wonderful, long and clean, and with six sets of steps there is always one close to your sun lounger.
Sigrid is friendly and helpful, with suggestions of places to go and things to see.
The outdoor kitchen is great. With Sigrid's lovely breakfasts waiting for you in your fridge, a coffee machine, cooker and bbq in the outdoor kitchen, you have the best of both worlds B&B and self-catering....fresh pastries and croissants when you decide to get up and then freedom to nibble for the rest of the day. Sigrid was happy to book restaurants for us in the evenings.
There is plenty to see and do in the area - we went for walks in the hills, visited hill towns, castles and old quarries, went to Arles a few times to soak in the atmosphere and try the local cuisine. We even jumped on Sigrid's bicycles and went for a spin through the local village and beyond.
We usually got back in the afternoon for a swim and a dose by the pool to the sound of cicadas and the distant church bells in the village. Perfect change of scene - very calm and relaxed.
A wonderful week; we will return!
My wife and I just spent 2 weeks at Sigrid's beautiful Mas du Meindray. We live in the USA and go back regulary to France (I am French). The location, the hospitality, the charm of the place, the huge swimming pool - all constitute the ingredients for a most enjoyable stay. This is our 3rd time over there and every year it is the same pleasure. Resting by the pool side with a good book under the sun is our favorite.
We highly recommend it. We can't wait to be back.
We stayed at Sigrids place for the third time - it is our little paradise! There is a lot to do and see, charming villages, nice markets, excellent hiking and biking in the "Alpilles", wonderful restaurants - everything close by. If you would like to go further you can visit Arles (about 30 Minutes) or Avignon (about 1 hour). And if you feel like relaxing it´s nice to spend a day at the pool with a good book. You can prepare a lunch in the "summer kitchen" (the butcher in the village is excellent) and we liked to do bbq with sausages and light salads. Not to forget about the delicous wines and the tasty olive oil! What more is there to say? A beautiful place, highly recommended!

We are just 400 meters from the church of Le Paradou on a quiet private little road, less than 4 kilometers from the famous 'citadelle des Baux-de-Provence'.
