At the feet of the 'Baux de Provence', in a small quiet village, Sigrid and Robert offer a guest room in the 17th century part of this typical Provencal villa, restored according to the traditions. Around the mas is a big garden, an orchard and a beautiful 20 meters long stone swimming pool.

Unit 1 is 26 m² wide, tastefully decorated and cooled by a huge fan. It has a queen size bed (made of 2 single beds that can be split), fireplace, library, TV and video. There is a nice bathroom in marble stone with a large shower, and private stairs leading to a private patio full of flowers.

Unit 2 is 32 m² wide, originally decorated and cooled by two fans. It also has a splitable queen size bed, TV and video. The bathroom is in Egyptian marble stone with a large shower. The unit has a 14 m² covered (and furnished) terrace overlooking the garden.

Beautiful Provence

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I just spent 2 weeks at Sigrid's beautiful Mas du Meindray. We live in the USA and go back regulary to France (I am French). The location, the hospitality, the charm of the place, the huge swimming pool - all constitute the ingredients for a most enjoyable stay. This is our 3rd time over there and every year it is the same pleasure. Resting by the pool side with a good book under the sun is our favorite.

We highly recommend it. We can't wait to be back.

Our little Paradise!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Sigrids place for the third time - it is our little paradise! There is a lot to do and see, charming villages, nice markets, excellent hiking and biking in the "Alpilles", wonderful restaurants - everything close by. If you would like to go further you can visit Arles (about 30 Minutes) or Avignon (about 1 hour). And if you feel like relaxing it´s nice to spend a day at the pool with a good book. You can prepare a lunch in the "summer kitchen" (the butcher in the village is excellent) and we liked to do bbq with sausages and light salads. Not to forget about the delicous wines and the tasty olive oil! What more is there to say? A beautiful place, highly recommended!

Kind regars,

Susanne & Juergen

Charming host, garden, pool in great location

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 3 thoroughly enjoyed our week with Sigrid this past July and are dreaming of our swift return to her lovely Mas in Paradou. Sigrid extended charm, warmth and kindness at every turn as she opened up her beautiful home, gardens and pool – always at the ready to provide guidance and suggestions for a memorable holiday in this special corner of Provence. Our mornings began leisurely with a delicious breakfast under a grape arbor where fresh breads and pastries from the local bakery were laid out with fruit and homemade jams from the property. This set us up nicely for exploring the rich history, culture and beauty of the immediate vicinity – Les Baux, Arles, St Remy, Pont du Gard, the Camargue. We all looked forward to hanging out by the pool after seeing the sights – especially our 6 year old son who delighted in having the run of the grounds and the doting attention of his new friend Sigrid. On evenings when we did not venture out for dinner, we made good use of the outdoor summer kitchen to prepare several evening meals, which we enjoyed immensely in the tranquility of the lush gardens. A quick walk into the village will provide everything you need including an amazing butcher, bakery and a small store stocked with cheeses, fresh vegetables and wine. Our stay with Sigrid was superlative in every way and we know we will be back. In the meantime – we have wonderful memories of our family time in Paradou with Sigrid – including two of her watercolors that hang in our Boston home to remind us. We cannot wait to return.

Le Mas du Meindray

  • 5 of 5

It wouldn't be fair to Sigrid or the Mas du Meindray to only write in German about this idyllic place in the heart of Provence. So here are a few words in English, for those interested...

It was pure chance, a birthday surprise from my husband for me, that led us here two years ago. We spent an enchanted week in le Paradou and immediately knew we would have to come again (and again). As soon as we got home we arranged to come the following summer, this time for two weeks and with our daughter, Shireen, who was ten years old at the time...

The minute she set foot in the paradise that is le Paradou, Shireen was also bewitched by the beauty of the place, the wonderful atmosphere created throughout by Sigrid and of course, by Sigrid herself: "Mummy, I want to come again, next year, plee-ase!"...

So whilst still staying at Sigrid's we booked our holiday for the next year, and here we are again!

The magic doesn't fade and there is so much to do and see all around, that it would take ages to get bored with it all. The good local food to be enjoyed in the restaurants around the area or prepared in the amazing semi-open-air kitchen available to guests, adds another dimension to the indulgently delicious life-style one can enjoy during the stay... Did I mention the luxury of a gorgeous French breakfast provided every morning by Sigrid which one can enjoy al fresco? Coffee, croissants, home-made jams and fruit from her own garden? That luxurious extra ensures a wonderful start to the day...

What can I say, are we hooked? ... 'Fraid so!

Third visit

  • 5 of 5

This was our third visit to Le Mas du Meindray and every time has been a great experience. Sigrid takes great care of her guests and make sure they felt welcome every day. She first sets you off on your day with a hearty breakfast fit for champions! Her superb knowledge of the surrounding villages in the Alpilles region is really helpful especially for first time visitors. This place is friendly for families and singles alike. Definitely well worth a fourth trip back.
