Property type house
Minimum Stay 3 nights

About the property

Beach House- 2 Bed/2 Baths (Sleeps 6), Guest Cottage- 1Bed/1Bath (Sleeps 4)

Oceanfront rentals at Beach House Incognito. Located just 2 kms. South of Dominical, nestled between mountainous rainforest and tropical beach, right on the Ocean. Enter and exit your oceanfront hideaway through an electric security gate that ensures your privacy.

Choose from our large 2 story beach house that sleeps up to 6, with 2 bedroom, queen sleeper/sofa, 2 bath, and 2 car garage. Or our 1 bedroom guest cottage with double sleeper/sofa, that can accommodate up to 4. Better yet, rent our entire place, giving you your very own private resort. Both beachfront house and guest cottage comes with every amenity you could desire to make your vacation a memorable one. Comfortable lounge chairs surround our large 18 by 36 pool for sun-worshippers, or if you prefer a shady spot, choose one of the numerous hammocks or rocking chairs for reading, relaxing, or a siesta.

Our beach front home is $1,500/week off season, and $2,000 high season. The cottage is $700/off season, and $800/high season. With a 3 night minimum. Our property is a lush garden with numerous flowering plants, that attract tons of butterflies, and hummingbirds. Many types of birds pass through daily, in search of their breakfast of mangoes, papayas, and bananas, all growing on the property. Our local iguanas are constantly competing with the birds, for whatever fruit is available. A cup of coffee, a rocking chair, with the sites and sounds of the Pacific Ocean, playing in the back ground, is my idea of a perfect start to your morning. It just doesn't get any better than this.

About Gregory Miller

I came exploring Costa Rica in 1989. My friends and current neighbors Richard and Diane, owners of Coconut Grove Cottages, ask me if I would consider buying land in Costa Rica. Soon we were owners of a 200 acre farm. We would come to this isolated beach, drink coconuts and learn from Amancio, whom the rocks out front are named after. Before you knew it we had a home, and soon cottages slowly came out of this Cacao field. Coconut Grove quickly became popular, with few vacancies. I wanted my own place, and soon we were no longer partners, just friends and neighbors. I built Beach House Incognito in 2008, and now can come and go, when my freedom allows it. We currently spend about 5-6 months a year here, with the other time spent at our home in Florida. Most folks in Florida, go north for the summer. We on the other hand head south, to our most incredible beach here in Dominicalito.

Great house, even better pool!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed over the Christmas holiday with family at this home. We ranged in age from 1 to 63. The house could use a set of plastic dishes/glasses for easier use around the pool but that's the only negative I would say. The pool was perfect, we spent many hours in the pool area. Lyle was very helpful in booking activities in the area and calling a taxi when we needed. In hindsight we should have rented a car when at the home. We ate dinner at the restaurants to both the south and north of the home. Great food and beautiful sunsets at both. We saw monkeys at the restaurant to the south. We highly recommend Naucaya Falls. We opted to go in the open air truck on the 2 hour tour - the drive to the Naucaya Falls from the house is approx. 20min.

Great place to stay right on the beach. Lyle was great and helped us with sight seeing and local grocery store. Por Que No? Restaurant just a short walk down the beach and very good. We could not have stayed at a better place for our daughters wedding week. The house is beautiful and comfortable!!!!!! Thanks for your help Lyle!!!

Oceanfront Paradise

  • 5 of 5

My family spent 3 days at this beautiful oceanfront home. Owner Greg was our great host who stayed in his guest cottage while my family of 5 stayed in his beautiful main house. The house was extremely well furnished with all the comforts of home (internet, cable TV, a/c, ceiling fans in every room, stainless steel appliances etc..). The top floor housed the kids with a queen bed plus pullout with its own bathroom and massive balcony complete with 2 hammocks to watch the waves rolling in. The main floor had the master bedroom with a huge bathroom and newly installed double shower. The main floor opens up to another beautiful balcony complete with a large dining area which leads down to the pool area. It was great to be able to oversee the pool from either balcony or the gazebo area while the kids swam. The pool area leads into a short garden path which winds through some palm and almond trees to a wonderful beach area. At high tide the water reaches right up to the trees while at low tide there is a wide flat sandy beach with many interesting tidal pool areas for beachcombing. My kids loved exploring the very private beach area and finding crabs and fish of all types. A couple of hundred metres down the beach was a great little restaurant called PorQueNo (4th rated in Trip Advisor). Last but not least was our interaction with Lyle, the property manager and tour advisor. Lyle went out of his way to arrange local tours for us (Waterfall, River treks), find us great guides us (Manuel Antonio Park) or make restaurant recommendations. A fantastic stop on our Costa Rican vacation which I strongly recommend.

Perfect location for first time travellers to Costa Rica

  • 5 of 5

This was a perfect location for us and Greg and Lyle went above and beyond in insuring we had the best vacation ever. Close to the rugged surfing town of Dominical, seconds to an expansive and secluded beach with exquisite views. Lovely and private swimming pool. House is spacious and has the basics needed to enjoy the day hanging out at the property but close to many fantastic adventures if you want to get out and truly experience all that Costa Rica has to offer. Thanks so much for making us feel so welcome, safe and introducing us to this amazing place. We will be back.

I truly loved it!

  • 5 of 5

Awesome house and cabena. I almost don't want to give a great review so it won't become too popular. We would love to come back! (We were three families with 5 kids and a grandma) The house was perfect. Both houses were stocked with basic supplies like pots, pans, ice chests, coffee pots, etc. Swimming pool, beach front, outdoor gas grill, amazing decks to enjoy your cocktail while the kids play in the pool. We had great food in Dominical. Porqueno was fantastic food, sunset views, quick walk, and reasonably priced. Lyle (property Care taker)booked our excursions for us and gave great "local" advice. Should have listened to all of his suggestions. Manuel Antonio was like Disneyland. Worth a quick day trip to see all of the animals, but should not have stayed there. Ziplining in Osa and horseback riding to Nauyaca Falls were great. We would definitely stay here again!
