4 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom Country House With Lovely Outdoor Terrace and Bbq Area

Le Clos De Villiers is a 4 bedroom 2 bathroom French longhouse in Lower Normandy accommodating up to 10 people.

The property has retained many original features such as the oak beams and a huge inglenook fireplace in the kitchen. It also benefits from oil central heating throughout.

There is a newly fitted kitchen complete with Rangemaster, American style fridge freezer, NEFF built in coffee machine and a fantastic central island with granite worktop for preparing or just sitting around on the bar stools. The kitchen also has a sitting area with two settees around the inglenook fireplace.

The house also boasts a lovely lounge complete with log burner and door opening onto the back terrace; a dining room with huge oak table and chairs, and an office.

Internet and wifi are also available.

There are two double bedrooms upstairs, a bunk bedroom and a further bedroom incorporating 2 single beds with a mezzanine level above. There is a bathroom with bath and a separate WC upstairs.

Downstairs you will also find a further bathroom to include a toilet, sink and walk in shower.

Externally there is a large terrace with built in outdoor BBQ and bar area. There is also a covered verandah area ideal for placing the inflatable hot tub for relaxing at the end of the day.

The house sits in a secure private area behind electric gates of approx. 3 acres of land. There is a swing, slide, table tennis table, boules, badminton, outdoor dominoes and jenga games.

For the warmer months there is also available an outdoor table and chairs, recliners, outdoor settee and matching chairs and a firepit.

The local village of Bazoche ( about 1 mile away) boasts a fantastic delicatessen, boulangerie, grocery store, butchers and a small tabac.

The nearest town is Mortagne au Perche about a 5 minute drive away and has larger supermarkets Super U and Intermarche and some award winning butchers, boulangeries etc and a market on a Saturday morning. There are also some very nice restaurants eg Hotel Du Tribunal

There is a rather nice lake at Le Mele within 5 minute drive and numerous forests for cycling, walking, picnicking and horse riding. There is a golf course at Belleme ( 15 minutes away).

For the horse lovers, the national stud Haras Du Pin is also only a short drive away and they put on some fantastic shows during the warmer months.

There is a swimming pool at Mortagne but there is also a Center Parcs within a 20 minute drive at Vernieul sur Avre where you can get a day pass to use all their activities.

Paris is only about a 2 hour drive away or if you prefer hop on a train direct into the heart of Paris from L’Aigle just a 20 minute drive away. Versailles and Eurodisney are also easily reached.

The nearest large town is Alencon ( about 40 minutes drive) and Le Mans is also easily reached within an hour for the motoring enthusiast. For the wine lover, the Loire Valley and all its beautiful chateaux can be reached within 2 hours from the house.
