Overview

About the property

2-story, 4 bedroom, 3 bath, Sleeps 8 comfortably.

Spectacular ocean and beach front home with an incredible rare location. Our vacation home is close to everything (town, shops, beach, boogie boarding, surfing, snorkeling, harbor, activities) yet private for your relaxing stay at your beach home-away-from-home.

We have air conditioning and a washer and dryer, and all the other amenities for your hale-away-from-hale.

Relaxing, private, and incredible views!: Our town home is located on the ocean side of the famous Ali'i Drive. Our home is so close to the ocean, you can toss a shell from the lanai and hit water. We have two three-sided lanais that offer incredible views of the ocean. The sound of the surf in front of the condo is so relaxing and if you look, you can see fish in the waves!

There are dolphins and many other sea creatures (human too) that pass by daily. We have a special little known beach just a few hundred feet away that honu visit through out the day.

Our home is ideal for couples or families and is decorated in traditional Hawaiian decor.

You cannot beat this view from three-sided lanais. The fourth side of the lanais are all glass sliding doors so that you can also enjoy the same ocean view from the inside! You will enjoy spectacular sunsets every night year round. During the peak season, whales swim and often breach right in front of the condo which is fun to watch from the lanais. You will also see dolphins year round.

We are close to all you could ever want to do in Kona!

Close by is a small private cove with a sandy beach that is kid friendly, shallow and protected. Turtles live there and they are very friendly and love to come swim up to you!! They are protected so please do not touch!

One of the most incredible snorkeling spots on the Big Island is about a mile or so away with easy access for all ages and snorkeling levels. It is actually known throughout the world for one of the best snorkeling and diving spots that can be found.

Our condo is located close to everything you need: downtown Kailua-Kona shops and restaurants, snorkeling, surfing, diving, boating, tons of water fun activities, golf, sandy beaches...you name it!

Enjoy exploring any part of the Big Island and still be able to go home afterwards to the place where the Ancient Royals knew where to go to truly vacation. There is a reason they chose Kona. There is a reason we chose our home. Both are magical and unique locations that are difficult to find. We love our guests to share what we have found too! Great times with family and friends in a wonderful place creating special memories that last a lifetime.

Big Island GREAT!

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful experience! The location was perfect for a walk into town with manageable drives to the best locations on the island - Volcanoes, Mauna Kea Observatory, Waipio Valley and the worlds best beaches (white, green or black). The condo was right on the ocean, turtles in view most every day and sunsets galore....The master BR was truly that and I would recommend 'dibs' on it - balcony, en-suite and views....The unit had pretty much everything you need for a fabulous beach vacation. The owner was openly communicative before we left for Hawaii, available on email throughout the stay and absolutely courteous, knowledgeable and accommodating! I would definitely recommend this for anyone - couple (s) with or without kids and from 8 to 80! This is our 4th stay on the Big Island and this VRBO made it one of the best....

Awesome sunsets and sounds of the ocean night/day!

  • 5 of 5

Came to Kona for our son's wedding. Needed a 4 bedroom, and since we live in the desert of Arizona, wanted to be on the water. The sound of the waves crashing in on the rocks around the clock was awesome! We had 6 adults staying, and we NEVER felt like there was not enough room. The master bedroom and private lanai were great in the morning, and the lower lanai was used almost all the time. All amenities were as shown on the website, and the beds were very comfortable. Plenty of houseware items, as well as beach towels and toys to use. Nice to have a washing machine and dryer for our use during the trip. Location was great - far enough away for privacy, but close to downtown Kona-Kailua town. Owners were very nice and responsive to emails. Very prompt in getting our security deposit back. Would highly recommend this condo for your vacation!

Magical Place for the Whole Family

  • 5 of 5

My family of four adults and three kids just enjoyed almost a week at this Kona coast home. Even though we had very high expectations, based on the visuals and reviews, they were exceeded. First the location right on the water is spectacular and lanai sitting was a major pastime for us any time of day or night. Exploring the tidepools and little beach was also fun. Shopping, dining and services were all nearby.

The layout of the house worked perfectly for us as each adult couple had a bedroom with ensuite bath. The three kids had the bedrooms upstairs and shared a bath. The master bedroom suite was truly luxurious and bigger than some studio apartments. We loved the ocean views from the king size bed and the private lanai, and appreciated the desk with printer, tons of closet space, and separate sink.

The kitchen had the best equipment of any property we've ever rented -- heavy pots & pans, sharp knives, many cutting boards, strainers, storageware, every utensil we needed, and lots of staples. The only oddity was a shortage of dinner forks (there are plenty of salad/dessert forks). We cooked big breakfasts and dinners and these were a centerpiece of our days together, as well as a way for us to save on meals out. For the latter, we recommend 808 Grindz and Broke the Mouth Grindz for yummy Hawaiian plate lunch, as well as Get Sum Pizza, and Kona Wave Cafe for specialty shave ice.

The downstairs included plenty of space for lounging around, reading and playing games, and having family meals at the DR table. The A/C was strong and a welcome relief from the hot and muggy August weather. There is a huge assortment of snorkeling gear although we brought our own. Highly recommend Snorkel Bob's if you want to rent. Also beach chairs and blankets, four boogie boards, noodles, lots of beach towels, a travel cooler, and even two fishing rods! We spent a LOT of time at the Ai-Opio Fishtrap at Kaloko-Honokohau Harbor because it was so protected for the keiki. We saw innumerable beautiful fish and swam with honu every day. On the last day there, the waves were strong and pushed 15+ sea turtles to shore -- ensuring good photos!

All in all, the house contributed to our best family vacation ever and we hope to return. The new owners were responsive, helpful and really wanted us to have a great stay. Thank you, Enass, for all your efforts. We will cherish our memories of the time we spent at your Kona beach home!

Never got tired of that view!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and our two children and their spouses stayed here for four nights. We loved it! We attended a wedding in Kona, so the location was perfect for that- close to the activities, but quiet and relaxing by the ocean. We loved eating breakfast out on the lanai and watching the spinner dolphins go by, and the sunsets were gorgeous. The condo is very well equipped. It was hard to leave!

Perfect location, comfy and with all beach necessities

  • 5 of 5

The house was spacious and the location ideal, close to snorkeling beaches to the south, and with a lovely little sand beach a stroll away. Lots of beach toys and towels provided. The two lanais were heaven! We hadn't expected the construction on the unit two down from us but the workers did their best to minimize the noise.

Fantastic Oceanfront Family Adventure

  • 5 of 5

This property was fantastic. Although the property switched hands between booking it and our staying, both parties where great to work with. The house is very spacious. We had 7 adults and plenty of room and privacy. The master suite is amazingly large. The two lanai's add great extra living space, from which we saw a cruise ship, dolphins and standup paddle boarders. A turtle was beached just a short walk down the beach/lava. The location is great for shopping, dining and evening entertainment, only a few miles away. There are plenty of beach accessories...chairs, umbrella, boogie boards...and great snorkeling and boogie boarding spot a short drive south from the property. The complex had construction going on but that was never an issue. There was a rooster, so the back bedrooms got an early wakeup call. We had two cars so we just parked behind each other, making access to the property convenient. There is an outdoor sprayer/hose to get off the excess sand. The only drawback is the water access, not accessible directly from the lanai. Being able to hearing the waves at night from the master suite, even with the sliding doors closed, was exactly what I was looking for. The traditional furnishing/sliding blinds were also very nice and although we never eat a family meal at the dining room table we did enjoy a family game night. It was a very enjoyable and memorable adventure and we were very sad when it was time to leave. Mahalo Geri and Enass for sharing your lovely Hawaiian property.
