About Christine Ratajski
Brad and I met in Phoenix but always dreamed of moving to Prescott. We would visit on weekends taking in the events on the courthouse plaza and then talked about how wonderful it would be to move to Prescott, all the way back down the hill to Phoenix. When we finally made the move with our two very young children back in 1991 we were overwhelmed that we succeeded in finding a home here. You see employment was scarce and homes to rent even more so. We found a very small home, in the general neighborhood, close to the schools but Brad continued working in the valley until one day he said; "I want to live in Prescott". I replied, "you do live here", he said "no I just sleep here". He took a huge cut in pay so he could be with his family, it was the beginning of our journey in our quiet little charming town. We both took on a few jobs and even started a couple of businesses. The kids are all grown and married with children of their own now. We are semi-retired and enjoy traveling and getting to know our guest that want to come and share our not so small but still very charming town with us.
Christine Ratajski purchased this House in 1996
Why Christine Ratajski chose Prescott Heights
We were told by our landlord that not only was she not able to sell the house we were renting from her for the past 5.5 years, to us, but that she also wanted it back. We had 30 days to find a new home. Uncertain has to where we would go, we stumbled upon this house, just around the corner from our old home. The kids were still in school and even though the move was just before Thanksgiving, it was a smooth transition because we had grown to love this neighborhood. The homes are individually unique, no cookie cutter houses over here, and the neighbors are far enough away that we don't get caught in our pj's going to the mailbox, maybe once or twice in the last 22 years. Overall, we are away from the main highways, yet close enough to the surrounding tri-cities and downtown Prescott. It's the old part of Prescott that we fell in love with before the growth was even a twinkle in their eye. It's a peaceful quiet neighborhood where the stars explode in the evening.
What makes this House unique
The benefits to this house was that it was available. After 5.5 years in Prescott it was still challenging to find a place before it was rented. It was also substantially bigger than our first rental. We were here just a couple of years before we made the owner an offer he couldn't refuse and we haven't stopped remodeling, landscaping and dreaming of all the things we still have planned for this old house. We're happy to share it all now with our guest.

Christine was wonderful to work with!
It was really easy to communicate with the property manager. She was understanding and helpful, even when our trip did not go quite as we had planned! It was a wonderful experience!
Everything you need
This guest house was bright and clean, very comfortable bed, and all you could need in the kitchen and bath. Coffee, spices, snacks, extra bedding, towels, hairdryer. The outside spaces to relax were beautiful.
It’s always a pleasure to host a couple that has the time to utilize the space to its fullest along with enjoying the Prescott area. Thanks for choosing our GH for your visit.

Christian and Brad are wonderful property managers. Their backyard was arranged in three tiers of loving labor, beautiful flowers, beautiful rocks an outstanding water feature and a lovely BBQ area. We sat on the bench for morning coffee and the swing for happy hour. The location is close to town and reasonable to just get an Uber and be carefree for an evening of dining and drinks. The bungalow was small but spaciously designed. It had snacks and treats for its guest, a lovely bedroom with a walk-in closet and a large bathroom. We enjoyed the front patio also and a great parking spot. Oh and by the way the views were spectacular. I’d recommend it for a great getaway at a great price! Kathy W.
Tranquil, quiet. Home away from home. Love the swing and lounge bed in the back yard.
Our stay at the cottage was amazing!! It had all the comforts of home, and Chris and Brad thought of everything that you might need for an enjoyable stay. We definitely plan on staying here again when we return to Prescott.
Very smart host's and great "value" rental
We have been using rental property homes for 20+ years and we can say that these hosts truly have their guests in mind in every possible way. From the accurate property description, warm/friendly back yard, array of CD’s and movies, to the simplicity of the checkout procedures, Chris and Brad were always one step ahead of us! When one considers the quality of the construction (cabinets, flooring, etc.) we can say that this is the best “value” rental in which we’ve stayed.
Directions to the house:
The guest house faces LaPaloma (our one way side street) off of Demerse Ave.
You will need to pass LaPaloma coming down Demerse, to the stop sign, take a right on Bonita. Follow that around the corner to the first right (LaPaloma). Take it up the hill, the GH is on the right side. You will see a red umbrella out front. Please call or text if you have any trouble find us.
