Owners Vicca and Mike were very kind. We felt so happy here, so private etc. I will recommend this to everyone!
My husband and I had the most wonderful week at HK March 18th -25th. Mike and Vika thought of absolutely everything; from the fully equipped kitchen to beach towels, beach chairs, cooler and scuba gear, to make this such a relaxing and enjoyable experience! We loved the peaceful setting, outdoor kitchen, morning awakening by the birds and little geckos scurrying about. We will be back ! :) Susan and Vince
Stayed here for 3 nights with my husband after staying at 2 other locations on the Big Island over the course of the week, and this was by far our favorite! It's an easy drive to lots of activities, but whenever we got back to the cabin we felt like we were at our own private resort. We loved having long breakfasts in the outdoor kitchen while enjoying the gorgeous view, and it was very comfortable to sleep at night with the cool ocean breezes.
We, two couples, spent a week in Vikorya's little retreat. There is a lot of positive things to say: beautiful site, separate cabins, each with comfortable beds and accomodating bathrooms, and at a reasonable price for the area. The driveway to the cabin is quite long, but the area is close to a decent grocery store and don't miss the great fresh fruit stand just across the highway. We are all "birders" and we were greatly entertained by the mixed flock of birds that presented themselves every morning for breakfast -- at least 12 different species. We used the little outdoor kitchen for breakfasts and most dinners (mainly BBQ) and found it adequate -- there could have been a better collection of glasses, bowls and tableware -- we understand upgrades to the kitchen are planned. And one couple mistakenly left out a little food in their bedroom and were greeted with hoards of tiny bugs in the morning. Other quibbles include the difficult directions given to find the place (apparently we accidently got the "old" directions) and two of the four sets of snorkeling gear was unusable -- we were counting on them for our snorkeling adventures. (Be sure to check out "Two Step Beach" nearby for snorkeling and Spinner Dolphins.) Overall, we found the property to be well-situated, well-located and a good value. We especially liked the peaceful location that, ultimately, was a great jumping off location for exploring Big Island. Viktorya and Mike were very accommodating hosts -- thanks.
Mike and Viktoria are great, the property is unique and has a great view. We will be back.
Accommodations were even better than advertised - private, quiet, and dark at night. Hosts are very nice and interesting people that were quick to respond to questions and concerns. One of the better holiday we have had. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.
