Located seven miles from downtown Harbor Springs, high above 7 Mile Point, this cozy 750 sqft cedar log cabin is perfect for one or two couples, or a couple with up to two kids. It is situated on a small horse farm, with wonderful views of pastures and horses. Approximately 900 feet down the road past the main house you come to a clearing in the woods to find the cabin sitting on the
edge of the bluff... A very tranquil spot. You'll love sitting out on the large deck, relaxing and enjoying the wildlife in the woods. Your nearest neighbor is a quarter mile away.
For bikers, this cabin is set in the middle of some of the most spectacular biking in Michigan. Park your car at the cabin, click in to your pedals and off you go for miles and miles of scenic and beautiful biking.
For hiking, the trails begin right outside your door.
The large upstairs loft has a queen-size bed, bureaus and closet; for a second bed the living room couch becomes a queen-size pullout. A propane fired cast iron stove in the living room can be adjusted thermostaticly to take the edge off a cool evening or heat the whole house if required. The kitchen comes fully equipped and has a dining table table that can accommodate 4 to 6 guests. A shower is in the bathroom (no tub).
The cabin is set on the back of our small farm, giving you complete privacy. Dogs allowed? Small dog(s) may be okay, please talk to us first. We have plenty of our own animals to keep you entertained!
Note: the cabin is generally closed for the winter after New Years.
For 2015 FREE WIFI is now available !
Our family of four spent the week in this quiet, secluded cabin in the woods. Our kids are 9/12 years old and they told us they really liked not having a TV or electronics for the week. They enjoyed playing games and listening to the radio... didn't even realize we had Wifi. So old school we loved it. One of our kids slept in the pull out couch and the other slept on an air mattress we brought with us. I would say we maxed out space, but we were very comfortable and would bring our kids up again. Sam and Ann met us as we pulled in and were very helpful with answering questions about the cabin, property and surrounding area. They told us we could pet the horses as much as we liked and our kids really enjoyed going to see the horses up the driveway from the cabin multiple times a day. The cabin has everything you would need, location is ideal for day trips to the beach, Mackinac Island, U.P., small town experiences, Harbor Springs and Petoskey. Sam and Ann live on property but we the cabin is set back far enough that you won't see them unless you are pulling up the driveway and they are out working. We grilled out and enjoyed the deck to relax in the morning and evenings.Trails all around we walked our dog and rode bikes. We enjoyed this cabin so much, we will be back, maybe even without the kids!!
What a wonderful little cottage in the woods. My family enjoyed it so much that I'm looking to plan another trip ☺️❤️☀️
This cabin was the best I have ever stayed in, absolutely perfect in every way. We felt right at home immediately and could not have dreamed up a cozier more lovely place. In fact, the day after we left, we thought it was possible we could have just dreamed the whole thing, that the cabin was so perfect and the setting so pristine that it couldn't possibly be real! But here I am writing this review so it must be. If you make it here you may never want to leave. The property owners are so helpful and kind, everything is taken care of. We will definitely be back!!!
Very peaceful, quiet, clean, and conveniently located. The kitchen had everything you could want and a gas grill on the beautiful deck. Sam was very nice and gave good advise on what to do. The only con is the 6 night min stay is a little long, maybe 4 or 5 days instead. I didn't ask for a shorter stay since the website said it was minimum. We did find things to do the entire time and really enjoyed our entire stay.
Great stay the cabin was very nice, We had deer right up to the edge of the deck. quite and peaceful setting, very relaxing time.
This cozy cabin was just the perfect place for us to stay on our ski trip. It was well furnished and very peaceful tucked back in the woods. The owners were very friendly and attentive to our needs. I would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone looking to a nice, relaxing place to stay!
