About Owner/Property Manager

People talk a lot about the secret of manifesting abundance, for Yair & Ziza, the owners of Armonia Alpujarra, their story represents just that. It began in California (1992), where they both studied different forms of alternative healing & complementary medicine. Although, both from Israel, they didn’t know each other, but they’d both been attracted to the same place at the same time. Following their studies together they each searched new ways of expressing their healing abilities. They wanted to be able to help people to de-stress, understand the causes of their pain, put that pain behind them, help them to get in touch with their true selves to emerge feeling happier and more whole. Ziza developed her own style of Foot Reading. Yair created a diagnosis method based on reading people’s Auras and Chakras. Both unique systems support clients on their journey towards healing and well-being.

Since realising their vision 'Creating a Healing Retreat Centre in Spain', which includes their rental properties, they have over 20 years experience, and their work continues to evolve.

Yair & Ziza feel truly blessed to have found Armonia Alpujarra, a magical place that supports in nurturing mind, body & soul and, where they can bring people together to help them along their own journey of inner personal growth.

Yair and Ziza both are dedicated to the healing arts, and a wellness life style. They both enjoy dancing, working on their land and spending time with people - their guests. Yoga and meditation is important part of their life and they particularly emphasize that they enjoy 'laughing and enjoying this magical opportunity called 'life'!.

Tranquility at its best

  • 4 of 5

Casa Iris is just outside the beautiful spa town of Lanjaron in the Alpajarras. Both Lanjaron and Orgiva are only a short car drive away and both have an excellent array of restaurants and snack bars. It was lovely to be offered free tapas every time we ordered a cold drink! The Casa itself is down in the valley surrounded by orange, lemon, fig, and almond trees. It has all mod cons like wifi, tv and washing machine plus a wonderfully warm swimming pool for dipping in on hot days but all is totally secluded. I loved relaxing in the hammock listening to the crickets, the gentle tinkle of the goat bells and soft neighing of the horses a little further up the valley. The house is run on an eco friendly basis so if you expect an immaculate pristine house then this is not the house for you (no harsh chemicals are used in the cleaning of surfaces, bedding etc) but it is more than clean enough to live in very comfortably. If you want complete relaxation Casa Iris will more than meet your needs. Half an hour from the coast, Granada and some exquisite mountain villages this is a wonderful place to be. The only reason it gets 4 stars is that whilst the majority of the access to the Casa is on a Tarmac road the last little bit is on a dirt track and more suited to a 4x4 vehicle than the Ford Fiesta I was driving. It might be worth knowing this before booking your car hire. Yair and Zizi are very warm gentle people and nothing seemed too much trouble.

Owner's Response: Dear Carol, Many thanks for your beautiful review and we are so happy you all enjoyed your stay at Casa Iris. I hope that future guests would not be taken back by your comment about the last part of the road. We are doing our best to maintain the road in good conditions and us as well as our guests find it completely accesible for a normal hire car. We are looking forward to see you back. Much love and best wishes, Yair and Ziza

une villégiature paisible

  • 5 of 5

  • 4 of 5

Mountain Villages

Drive towards Órgiva and turn left just after the big BP garage, following signs to Trevelez. Three villages worth visiting at the top of the Poqueira Valley are: Pampaneira, Bubion and Capileira. They’re all very pretty with good cafes, bars and shops. The mayor of Bubion owns a tasty restaurant called L’Artesan (not vegetarian). There is also a funky bar in Bubion called Bar Morisco. Continue up past Capileira and you’ll find a left turning towards a wonderful flamenco bar called Al Catifa that hosts flamenco on Thursdays (get there by 9pm) and a nightclub on Saturdays that gets going at around midnight. Al Catifa is about 45 mins drive from Órgiva. Be
