Great get away cabin

  • 5 of 5

I would recommend this cabin to anyone who wishes a cozy little getaway. The cabin is in excellent condition and it is well supplied with every amenity one could need. We were first struck by the wonderful views from the deck and living room window. The weekend we were there my husband and I took a nice walk in the woods behind the house which connects to the VAST trail and we rode our bikes on the lovely dirt rode off the driveway. While on our bike ride we were greeted by a very friendly and curious horse who just beckoned us to stop and greet him by his fenced in pasture. If you like to shop for outdoor wear The Farm Way Store in Bradford is a must see. It is very big. We hope to return to the cabin during the Winter or Summer season next.

Get away from it all

  • 5 of 5

What a great cabin to get away from everything. No computer, no TV, no cell phone, it was all wonderful. Cabin is in a great location and had everything we needed. We hope to be back.

Absolutely the best!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay at the hillside cabin. Kathleen and Russ were very acomadating. It was our easiest and best booking experience, thank you! This cabin is amazing inside and out. Very cozy and peaceful. The large deck and chairs to relax on was perfect. The views of the mountains and surrounding fields are breathtaking. You are surrounded by nature and away from it all but not to far from restaurants and stores. ( You must stop at The Farm way store in Bradford you'll find everything outdoorsy there) It's a dog's paradise, ours had the time of her life. By far this is our new favorite Vermont spot! We didn't want to leave and can't wait to return.

Sweet Retreat

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed in many properties in the past nut got to say this one is top on our list. Everything we needed and expected were there and very clean. The beds were wonderful and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. Best of all was the solitude and the view of intense fall colors played out before our eyes twenty four hours every day. We drove to Quebec, Maine and New Hampshire looking for best fall color and to tell you the truth it was right at the cabin for the most part. I woke up at 4:00 am because it looked light outside but it was the clear sky and the stars were bright enough to walk out from the porch. Love it and will stay again !

A spectacularly wonderful place to stay

  • 5 of 5

This is a lovely, small cabin -- perfect (as in my case) for a solitary person to completely unplug and relax. I spent most of my time sitting on the porch -- at all times of the day -- just soaking in the view and relishing the quiet. With only a couple of other human dwellings visible (at some distance) it feels as though you are miles from the everyday world. You hardly ever hear an internal combustion engine and then only briefly as a single car passes on the dirt road hundreds of feet away. There is some sort of horse farm next door (meaning a half mile away) and sometimes in the evening, if it's quiet, you can hear the horses snorting as they settle down for the night.

The cabin itself is very comfortable, with a comfortable queen size bed and a full kitchen. While the setting is quite rural the cabin has all the amenities of civilization, minus the constant interruptions. I had no cell service so couldn't check work email even if I had the inclination (which I mostly did not).

Vermont is a small state and this place is fairly central, with Montpelier only an hour North West, so if you are seeking daytime activities you can get to the cute towns and attractions.

I really appreciate having been able to stay there.

Just Perfect

  • 5 of 5

I needed a weekend of peaceful solitude, and I'm not sure there is a more beautiful and quiet place to do so than here. I woke up in the morning to fog rolling in over the shoulders of the mountains, and watched thick quilts of stars unfold overhead at night.

The cabin is fairly new construction, and is clean, cozy, and well-maintained. There is a lovely cedar smell throughout the place. The property is very private—you pretty much feel like you have the mountains to yourself. The instructions and communications from the owner were clear and thorough.

I spent my time outside the cabin hiking in the Whites, on the Arethusa Falls/Frankenstein Cliffs trail.

I 'm definitely hopeful that I'll have the opportunity to retreat to this wonderful location again, and would highly recommend it to anyone!
