Bearadise was the most beautiful, comfortable cabin we have ever stayed in. It was just as explained and more! The cabin was so easy to find yet seemed as if it was a million miles away deep in the woods. The views were great and the fire pit was fantastic. I would definately reccomend this cabin and we plan on returning again!
The cabin was perfect in every way, plenty of room for all 7 of us. It had every amenity we could ask for. Very clean and comfy. Extra blankets and towels. Games to keep the kids happy. The only recommendation I could offer is maybe a larger water heater, we ran out of hot water the first day their after everyone took their shower, so we had to space showers out a little bit, but not a big problem. The road to get to the cabin was a little challenging but we were also in a very large SUV, and the roads were narrow, so once we got use to it, it was a breeze. The hot tub got much use and was much needed after our hike to the top of Mt. Leconte, along with the whirl pool tub. We didn't use the fire pit, with the burn bans in the area at the time, so maybe next time we'll get to make s'mores and roast marshmallows. The owners were very accommodating and easy to work with and Maggie Valley is a beautiful lil town, within reasonable distance to everything on our itinerary, We hope to visit again in the future.
The cabin was quaint and accommodating for our party of four. It certainly could handle a few more and be comfortable. Three levels of bedrooms allows for privacy if needed. We had some rainy weather so it was hard to enjoy the hot tub and fire pit. If you want to be alone this is a nice place. If you want to be close to Ashville for events then you could be closer staying on north side of city. Owners easy to work with.
The Maggie Valley location gave us access to so many surrounding places. We hiked Mingo Falls near Cherokee in one direction, and hit the town in Asheville in the other. The pinball museum, chocolate lounge and dinner at the Wicked Weed were great. 3 Miles from the cabin, we went horseback riding at the Queens stables. Beautiful ride to the top of the mountain. The cabin was family friendly and created great memories for everyone. Nightly dips in the hot tub followed by smores around the fire pit. All of our needs were met with the accessories in the home and the grocery store and local restaurants were very convenient. Of course Mom won the billiards tournament too! Would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a fun-filled week in the mountains!
highly recommend this inspirational home for a family vacation-- Joy was great to work with and the cabin is just as described and immaculately clean and comfortable. college kids loved the quiet time and giggled for hours in the loft and appreciated the short drives to everything-- we did so much within a 30 min drive from the cabin!! road up and down the hill was an adventure, but don't be scared of it!!! hubs and i loved the quiet mornings on the deck watching the most gorgeous sunrises, cooking and eating together with the kids and those views!!! surprise snow on our first day and lovely cool nights, refreshing mornings and soaking sore muscles in the hot tub!!. beds were very comfortable and pool table was great fun at night. bear theme is over the top and fascinating to discover a new bear everytime you turn around!! we even left a new one!!. fire pit was awesome. stars so clear-- felt so far away from the crazy world. would highly recommend this "bearadise" !!!!
Our family of 6 stayed for 8 days in March 2015. The owners were very helpful in planning our trip. We felt immediately at home with all the thoughtful appointments the owners have made: Well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and very clean. The location is very close to highway 19 which gives you easy access to both the Smokey Mountains and Blue Ridge Parkway. We had a wonderful time exploring the numerous trails and waterfalls, and seeing animals such as elk and wild turkeys in their natural habitat. Definitely recommend this house as a place to stay.
The quaint town of Waynesville is 10 min away, where Main St boasts many fine restaurants, shopping and free weekend concerts. The re-introduced elk can be seen about 10 miles away, and Bryson City is home to all types of water sports-kayaking, canoeing, white water rafting, fly-fishing and the Appalachian Trail. Tennessee is only a short 45 min drive thru the breathtaking Great Smoky Mtns. You can also ride the Great Smokey Mtn Railroad from Dillsboro. Cataloochee ski resort is only 5 miles away and Ghost Town is back for the whole family to enjoy!! Maggie Valley is located on US 19 about 30 min from Asheville and hosts many weekend festivals, special events and gift & antique stores. You can ride the rapids, hike the trails, horseback ride, or go to a National Forest and enjoy the beauty and serenity around you. The Blue Ridge Parkway is only a mere 5 min away. Cherokee Indian Reservation & Harrahs casino is a 30 min drive. You will never want to leave!
