The region is well known for its distinctive Limousine cattle which produces the finest Limousine beef. The owners Mandy and Ian are happy to share their local knowledge with you should you require any assistance.
Ian and Mandy gave us a warm welcome and ensured we enjoyed our stay. The bread, wine, home made jam and biscuits, etc. were a nice surprise and much enjoyed. The gite is well-equipped, with a comfortable bed and a good shower. There is a lovely garden with a table and chairs, sunloungers to relax in and a BBQ. The sun shines on the garden all day so you can eat all your meals there if you wish.
The small village of St-Pardoux-Corbier is a 10-minute walk along a country road. It has one shop where you can get a drink, coffee or bread. During the summer months, there is a Marché Festif on a Wednesday night - you buy your food at the market, cook it on the bbqs which are provided and then eat alongside everyone - a really good night and very popular.
The supermarkets are only a few minutes drive away. Other towns and villages are a short drive away and well worth a visit. We particularly liked Uzerche, Tulle - Wednesday morning market good - and Segur-le-Chateau. Mandy and Ian will give you advice on where to visit depending on what your interests are.
We very much enjoyed our stay here and hope to return. We would highly recommend the gite to those wishing to stay for a week or more. There is also a chambre d'hote offered for those staying shorter periods. As the property is located only a few minutes from the main road, it is also ideal for breaking up a journey north or south.
Thank you Ian and Mandy for a very enjoyable stay. We hope to see you - and Barbara and the gang - again soon.

Jolie maisonnette.
