Iron County Townhome Rental Photos and Description

Townhome, 3 Bedrooms + Loft, 2.5+ Baths, (Sleeps 10)

Come relax and play at our beautiful mountain condo only steps away from the Brian Head Ski Resort. The two newest lifts, opened a few seasons ago, are very easily accessible from our townhouse. It is a short walk to the new lifts and an easy slide back home.

The newest lifts (1 & 8) allow you to access either the main mountain or the Navajo ski area from adjacent starting points at the end of our road. Lift 1 takes you over to Navajo Mountain. You can then ski back over the new interconnect bridge. Lift 8 takes you midway up the main mountain where you can access many runs and ski right down to Giant Steps lodge and lifts 2 & 3. Or if you prefer, take the new lift 8 onto the mountain to access the mid-mountain lifts (5 & 7) and the slopes they serve without ever going down to the base of the mountain.

This condo sits on a small street at the base of the main mountain (near the Giant Steps base area). The town park, which has a small playground & picnic pavillion, is just outside the front door and across the road. This is also where the town bonfires and fireworks take place. And this year there is an exciting addition to our vacation home:the town is buildilng a new lake across the street beyond the playground. Practically right out our front door! It should be completed by next year and include a fishing pier, beach entry areas, and walking trails.

The name of our bulidng is Parkside Townhomes. It's a smaller bulding containing only 4 two-story, A-frame townhomes. We are next to some larger condo complexes like BrianWood and Evergreen. Our unit is next door to the town fire department.

The townhome is spacious, approximately 1800 sq. ft. not including garage. On the lower level there is a living room with gas fireplace. There are leather sofas and a 42' flat screen TV. The kitchen is very large and well equipped, featuring quartz countertops and stainless appliances including a gas range. An eat-in bar links the kitchen to the dining room. An oversize square dining table seats at least 8. A 20' flat screen TV is mounted in the dining room (also with satellite access). A small bathroom/powder room and adjacent stacked washer/dryer completes the bottom level.

The top floor has a master bedroom with Wrought Iron Cal King bed. The master bath includes a corner jetted tub. A second bedroom contains a queen bed and a third bedroom (or 'bunkroom') contains 2 sets of bunk beds (a double/single and a single/single). The large open loft area has an additional double bed. A full bath upstairs is shared by these sleeping areas.

The resort currently has 8 lifts on two mountains which are now linked by a skiable interconnect bridge. There is a large separate ski area for beginners on Navajo and a fantastic children's ski school program. Child care for younger children is also excellent at the resort. There is a giant snow tubing hill at the resort which is not to be missed. Snowmobile, ski/snowboard rentals are available at several locations very close to the condo.

In the summer and fall, Brian Head is known for mountain biking. Mountain Biking Trails criss-cross the area and several biking and ATV events are held throughout the warmer seasons. The ski lifts stay in service carrying riders and their bikes up the mountain to access the downhill biking trails. There are biking tours with shuttles available from several operators in the area. Summer and fall is also the time to take advantage of the beautiful National Parks and Monuments in the area. Breathtaking views and fantastic hiking opportunities can be found at Cedar Breaks National Monument (15 min. drive), Zion National Park (1 1/2 hour drive), and Bryce Canyon National Park (1 1/2 hour drive).

About Cynthia Reber

My husband and I have been married for 13 years. We live in the Palm Springs area of California and love to travel for family vacations. Brian Head and the surrounding areas in Utah are some of our favorite spots for outdoor adventure. We make it out several times a year.

Cynthia Reber purchased this townhome in 2006

Why Cynthia Reber chose Utah

We had searched for several years for the perfect mountain property. Close to great skiing, family friendly, not overly developed or crowded, and beautiful year round. We had always loved Southern Utah for it's natural beauty and outstanding opportunities for outdoor recreation.

What makes this townhome unique

Brian Head boasts some of the most impressive snow for skiing and snowboarding anywhere in the country but without the crowds or usual resort prices. It has our favorite children's ski programs of any resort we have visited. Brian Head is beautiful in the summer for hiking, mountain biking, or just enjoying the scenery. I love the location of our townhouse; the proximity to the lifts and to Giant Steps. The town pavillion and park is just across from our townhouse where there are frequently bonfires, bands, fireworks, or other small town celebrations. We love spending time in Brian Head and hope that you will enjoy it too.

Fantastic property!!!

  • 5 of 5

This townhome is fantastic! There were 10 of us, all adults, and we fit with no issues. The beds were all decently comfortable. Having 3 bathrooms is always a plus. The living areas and kitchen were plenty spacious for all of us. The location is within walking distance to 2 lifts which is so convenient. Communication with the host was very easy and she was extremely accommodating. We would definitely stay here again as we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Perfect home for a family ski vacation!

  • 5 of 5

I highly recommend this perfect family rental for a trip to Brian Head! The bed mix comfortably served our two families of 4 adults and 6 kids combined (ages 10 thru 14). Plenty of pillows, blankets, towels, dishes, glasses, plus a washer/dryer right in the unit. 10 people, and we didn't have a problem with the hot water supply as we simply paced our showers and kept them short accordingly. Small in-wall heaters throughout the home made it easy to regulate warmth, and the fireplace throws serious heat for drying gloves and socks. We were only about 250 steps from Alpine Glow lift - easily walkable with gear, even for the kids, and just a tad further to Wildflower. The garage was readily accessible for gear storage. The side yard proved great for snow forts and a snowball fight, and the kids found a fun sledding hill just across the street.

Perfect house, great location

  • 5 of 5

We loved being at this cabin for our ski trip. The place is set up with lots of hooks to hang up wet ski clothes! Genius! It has lots of very comfy beds, plenty of kitchen and dining room, and is well equipped for use. Very close to a chair lift so you don't have to drive to the lodge to get going. If you are particular about what pillow you sleep on (like I am) I would bring your own. They ones they have are probably good for your posture or something but too stiff for me. The owner is very kind and easy to communicate with as she seems available. We were very please over all with this property and highly recommend it.

Comfortable, Accomodating, and Inviting

  • 5 of 5

We loved the townhome! It was tastefully decorated, well appointed, and very comfortable.

The kitchen had pretty much every need we had, the living room had very comfortable couches, while the dining area had a nice big table to accommodate everyone very comfortably (seating for 8!). We loved being able to walk over to the slopes, and--even in the snow--the kids loved heading to the playground across the street.

Cynthia was a pleasure to correspond with, and answered all our questions.

We've stayed in Brian Head every year for the past 6 Winters, and Cynthia's townhome is now at the top of our list of homes to stay in!
