I DO NOT list my Surf Rider Condo on Craigslist. There have been many vacation rental scams on CL recently. If you see a Surf Rider condo listed on CL and the nightly rate seems to good to be true, then it probably is.
Each Surf Rider Condo is individually owned and managed. I only own and manage this listing within the Surf Rider Condo complex.
This upstairs middle unit, ocean front condo is totally TOP OF THE LINE!! Luxuries include a Jacuzzi, large plasma screen TV with a DVD player, vaulted ceilings, fireplace, slate flooring throughout, granite counter tops in kitchen, travertine in both bathrooms, top of the line stainless steel appliances, Bosch dishwasher, and a front loading washer and dryer in the condo.

The interior offers breathtaking views from the living room, as well as from the pillow-top ultra comfy bed with 500 thread count sheets in the master bedroom where you can sit in bed and enjoy the waves, dolphins and surfers. There are also ocean views from the second bedroom which has its own private entrance. (yes, this bed also has high end linens for your comfort)
The Surf Rider ocean front condo will sleep 4 adults in two queen beds. The sofa in the living room will make into a double bed for extra sleeping space.
This condo is on the 2nd floor, the second unit in from the boardwalk with amazing ocean views and has a private patio with seating which is located outside, directly in front of the interior dining area. (Photo #5 shows the 6' sliding glass door and a 7' unobstructed window facing the ocean, this is where the condo's reserved patio area is located.) In addition to the private patio area for our condo, there is also a large common (shared) patio area surrounding the Jacuzzi and BBQ area complete with chairs and chaise lounges for your use.
We have stocked the property with all the cooking utensils you could ask for... lots of pots & pans, knives, hand mixer, the VERY important blender for making margaritas, wine glasses, wine opener, plastic tumblers to take to the beach, beach chairs, beach towels, serving dishes and utensils, BBQ tools too...it's all here for your use and enjoyment.

This condo has ONE reserved parking spot. (Please note: The owners do not guarantee your vehicle will be able to fit in the parking space provided, nor are we able to provide additional parking if the assigned parking is too small. We have never had a problem with large vehicles NOT fitting into the parking spot provided, though it may need to be backed in if it is a large SUV)
PLEASE NOTE: The owner does not guarantee that the Jacuzzi will be available or operational. Jacuzzi could be closed for service or not working. Although we hope that any such interruptions would be brief, owner is not responsible for the availability of the Jacuzzi during your stay.
No Parties allowed on property. Partying may result in immediate removal from property without refund.

We have had a wonderful stay in your condo. It has met all our needs in a great location; it's a terrific place. The communication you provide along with the reservation and the written info in the unit are very helpful. Everything went smoothly. The condo is clean, organized and arranged with furniture and kitchen appliances & supplies to meet all our needs. All we had to do was unlock the doors & begin our San Diego beach vacation! Being able to look out the huge windows, or sit on our deck or lower patio & see the beach and fabulous boardwalk activity right in front of us was awesome & very entertaining!! Undoubtedly the best beach rental we have done so far. Truly love your place!
My 2 boys and myself stayed in this Surf Rider Ocean Front condo unit L and it was AWESOME !! Everything top of the line, Slate floors, Granite Counter tops, flat screen TV's, views of the ocean from every room in the condo. The showers are all natural stone and glass with giant shower heads which make you feel like your are in a rain storm rather than a shower !! The kitchen is fully equipped to the point that if had more cooking untensiles than I have at home !! Washer and dryer in the unit is a real convience!! Oh and the owner is so easy to work with, great communication and did everything they promised.... very organized very professional !!! We loved it so much we booked it again !! Highly recommend this condo !!!
This is the perfect place to stay for a very easy vacation and get away. The condo complex is located right on the beach, ocean view. This unit (L) is well cared for, nicely appointed, and the owners are great to work with. We love the surf rider and will not stay anywhere else when we come to San Diego. There are plenty of beach chairs and toys in the outside closet if you want to play on the beach...which was nice for our toddler. It is the best front row view of all the passers-by on the boardwalk, and the ocean, while sitting or laying on the patio furniture. It's one of mine and my husband's favorite things to do while there...spectating from such great seats! The hot tub is perfectly located for great ambiance and ocean view as well. This location and unit are highly recommended. Our stay is so relaxing, and always anticipated. The condo has everything you need for an easy stay, if you need groceries there's a mini store across the street (behind property) and Ralph's just a short drive away. Bars and restaurants are walking distance away. There's nothing but good about this place!! Thank you Heather and Dana for being so great and providing such a wonderful rental!!
My family loved our stay last summer and we can't wait to go back! The unit is in a great location and has everything that you need to make your stay complete: laundry machines, full kitchen (all utensils and pans), dining room table with a view, good closet space, plenty of seating, unit-specific instructions, and easy access to your dedicated parking spot. This location was perfect for easy trips to Sea World and the San Diego Zoo, and close enough to the sand that we could easily see our beach chairs from the dining room or patio. We loved going out to the beach in the morning for walks and sitting out on the patio in the evening watching and listening to the waves roll in. Heather was accessible and very helpful, and I would definitely recommend this to a friend. We cannot wait to go back in 2016!

My wife and I used this condo as a weekend “staycation” and we LOVED it.
We’ve both lived in San Diego for over 30 years. In fact, we used to live in Mission Beach, so we know it well. Let me tell you, the quality of the condos for rent on the boardwalk are all over the map. And THIS one is top-shelf, absolutely.
On a personal note, let me tell you why this was such a good fit for us. I happen to love the beach, growing up on the Jersey shore every summer. My wife on the other hand isn't much for the crowds and loud going ons that beach areas can sometimes be known for.
That said this, was the best of both worlds.
I had the beach right there — I lifted my head off the pillow and was able to check the surf. Literally that close.
The unit is on the second floor, which made it feel like a private sanctuary. Very quiet and relaxing.
The fully appointed kitchen made it easy to BBQ and enjoy a meal overlooking the ocean, then just a short walk down to one of the several restaurants/bars for a nightcap.
We also made great use of the hot tub, which was HUGE and very clean and worked perfectly. A local friend of ours stopped by and his comment rang true. He said, “This isn't like most rentals. You could live here, it's set up more like a home.”
On a practical note, everything we needed was clearly explained, including all instruction for keys, Wifi access and all the little things you need but might not think about ahead of time.
Finally, I have to say that what we experienced in the unit truly lived up to the description in the ad. It is REALLY well-appointed. Can you tell we didn’t want to leave??!! Bottom line, huge thumbs-up.
We have stayed at this condo at the Surfrider for 3 years in a row. I bring my kids and a couple of their friends and there is something for everyone to do. Close to Belmont Park, walking distance to great restaurants and shopping, and you can't beat the view. This condo has everything you could possibly need for your stay. All updated appliances and every cooking utensil you could possibly need. I love getting up early and the door in the 2nd bedroom made it easy for me to go outside and not wake everybody else up. I love the set-up of the condo. There are two grills in the common area, along with the jacuzzi and we have always had great neighbors every time we have stayed at this property. The kids love it and I love the quiet peaceful mornings walking the boardwalk and listening to the sounds of the ocean. Heather is great and addressed any of our questions immediately. I would highly recommend this property. Not only is it beautiful, but in one of the best locations, and at an affordable price, which is important to me as a single mom. This trip we only got to stay 4 days because we waited too long to book the condo and it was already booked so I need to be sure to book earlier for next year. I do not allow for cancellations and do not offer refunds should you have to cancel your stay after you reserve. I will do my best to work with you and try to get the condo re-rented should you have a change of plans. If I need to discount the rental rate of the condo in order to re-rent it for the same time frame you had rented, you will lose the amount of the discount as well as a $150 cancellation fee. If the condo does not re-rent for the time frame you canceled you will lose the entire cost of the reservation and not receive a refund. If you think you may have to cancel your stay I suggest you either wait to book my condo until you are sure, or purchase travel insurance. Make sure to read the TI policy so you know what IS and IS NOT covered. You can purchase it through any TI site you wish. I cannot insure against the reasons you may need to cancel, but you can by purchasing travel insurance. We are not a hotel and cannot immediately replace a cancelation with a new reservation. Once we have a reservation, it means that we lose all of the other potential reservations that may have wanted to rent the same time period. This is why we cannot accept cancelations. Thank you for your understanding.
You may pay using your Visa or MC. We do not accept AMEX. If you are booking for a stay that is more than 90 days away then 1/3 of the rental amount is due at the time of reserving. The balance is due 90 days prior to arrival. I do not take a deposit from you. Instead I charge a $49 NON-refundable damage waiver fee which purchases $1500 worth of damage protection for your stay.
