Furnished, well-appointed, spacious 3800 sq foot “executive home” on exclusive Scarborough Beach. The beach is a one-minute walk from the home down a path lined with bushes that flower in the summer. The layout of the home is a split level with 4 BRs and 2 and 1/2 Baths. There is a dining room, living room, and two family rooms, a large sun room and open deck. Generous Space for Group Get-Togethers
Six of us travel each year to a different location, and this year my group decided to come to Portland, Maine close to where I live, so we found this great home on Scarborough Beach, which is a jewel among beaches in Maine. It is spacious home and has lots of different rooms for multi-activities, is clean, has a well-stocked kitchen, and so near the beach that you can hear the surf! Wonderful!
Genuine home on a great beach.
A comfortable, spacious house on a quiet circle, with beautiful woods out back and a lovely beach just yards away. A great location - walking distance to Black Point, and close to Cape Elizabeth, and Portland. I would stay again.
Great house. Well described. Fit us all comfortably with plenty of space
Great Location; Great Family Gathering Place
Scarborough Beach has been our kids favorite beach for the past 30 years. Now it's THEIR kids favorite beach! But they live far, far away, so what better place to gather than ON SCARBOROUGH BEACH?! Beach time morning noon and night. The house is extremely accommodating, clean and comfy. Hope we can make it happen again.
Great place for families
The house is a bit tired but you can't beat the space and short walk to Scarborough Beach. The quiet neighborhood invites you to relax and enjoy what Maine has to offer. Walking south on the beach to 'cliff walk' is a must for those who can handle a gentle four mile stroll. The views from the rocks are beautiful and you can't beat the smell of the salt air.
The house could use more updated kitchen utensils and flatware but otherwise a wonderful place for large family get togethers.
Great home for families
We recently traveled to Maine for a family reunion. This house is located on a private road across the street from a lovely beach. We liked the layout of the house--private master suite located on one level and three bedrooms and a bath on the lower level. It was great to have two family rooms so the kids could have their own play area. The kitchen was well equipped. Only thing we wished for was a bath tub in the lower level since the one bath/shower was small. Overall, the rental exceeded our expectations. We hope to return next year.
Kirkwood Circle is located on a beautiful stretch of Scarborough Beach , its white sands stretching across the horizon for about a mile. There is ample opportunity for kayaking and boating with beach or Back Bay boat ramp available. The exceptionally beautiful Scarborough Marsh is 5 minute away for naturalists and adventurers. In addtion, there are bird and wildlife sanctuaries within five minutes of the house. Need some old New England hospitality? The Old Seaport area on the Portland waterfront is known for its unusual crafts, art, antique shops and its many excellent New England style restaurants. For Winslow Homer enthusiasts, his studio is a 10 minute bike ride away on Black Point. the Portland Museum of Art has an excellent Homer rxhibit as well as many other well known Maine artists. Also, the well known subject of many paintings 'Two Lights' lighthouses in Cape Elizabeth is within biking distance. For golfers there are three 18 hole golf courses with spectacular vi
