Furnished, well-appointed, spacious 3800 sq foot “executive home” on exclusive Scarborough Beach. The beach is a one-minute walk from the home down a path lined with bushes that flower in the summer. The beach is unique among southern Maine's sandy beaches; it is over a mile long and is free of development. Save one house in over a mile, there are no homes situated directly on the beach dunes. The beach and area are outstanding for swimming, walking, surfing, and boating. There are spectacular views of Stratton Island, Shooting Rocks, and Black Point. There are excellent golf courses within 15 minutes of the house, public tennis courts and wildlife and bird sanctuaries. Public boat ramps are nearby. The layout of the home is a split level with 4 BRs and 2 and 1/2 Baths. There is a dining room, living room, and two family rooms, a large sun room and open deck. Amenities include high speed Internet and cable TV. The executive home is fully furnished with dishes, linens, and BBQ.
Just a quick note to say thank you to you for renting us the wonderful house a 4 Kirkwood. We had a truly wonderful time with the XXXX's and your house was just perfect. We are already looking at the calendar to determine what week works for next year.
The house met all of my families' expectations... and they're quite particular. We're all beach lovers... and Scarborough Beach is the best! They're all hoping we can do it again next year.
We recently stayed at this property on Kirkwood Circle in Scarborough Beach, Maine. We will be back! This was our first trip to Maine and the state is breathtaking. The house is perfectly located on a quiet street and just a minute walk to a private beach. It is in a safe area so we were all very comfortable outside.
The beach was not busy and the views were gorgeous. We also enjoyed the size of the house with many options for enjoying the outdoors and nature.
We highly recommend the house and this beach in the beautiful state of Maine! The weather was "picture perfect!"

We had a wonderful stay in this Quintessential Maine Home! It was across the street from an amazing beach. We could walk to Prouts Neck Beach.
The home has 4 bedrooms and a verywell equiopped kitchen. The family rooms were large enough to sit all of us. The home was very clean and had ample towels and bed linens. Our favorite restaurant was the Lobster Shack in Cape Elizabeth. We actaully went more than once! Thank you Valerie for a wonderful home, and answering all my emails so quickly! We will surely visit again when in the area.
We live in the Boston area, and have been vacationing in Maine all our lives. I can safely say that this location is if not at the top of the list, it is in the top 5!!
The house is warm and friendly. It is as advertised! Roomy enough with many rooms to get comfortable, and many rooms to gather for conversation and have activities with family and friends. Well appointed, well decorated, plenty of towels etc.etc. Very close to Portland and all the wonderful restaurants and tourists activities. When I referenced Location - I mean, it is a very short walk to the beach. And when I say beach - I mean almost a private beach. Unlike beaches further north in Maine, this beach is more swim friendly. We give this home 5 Stars! because in looking up the definition of
"Home Away from Home" - there is a picture of this house.
We traveled back to my home state of Maine to visit family in Scarborough. We felt so fortunate to find this wonderful and private location so close to the beach.
The interior of the home is comfortable and surprisingly large and spacious. The kitchen was well-stocked and there were more than enough pots, pans, dishes, utensils, and linens. The beds were comfortable and there were numerous fans throughout the home to keep air circulating and the temperature comfortable. The home is close to the beach so there is often a refreshing ocean breeze.
The beach is a very quick and easy walk away. This is a more upscale and private area..there were some days we had a large portion of the beach to ourselves. Our children enjoyed looking at the abundant crabs, shells, and other sea life. The beach is sandy and great for kids to play. There were beach toys and boogie boards at the home for our use. Area homeowners were kind and helpful. At night we could hear the sound of the ocean waves..it was very peaceful. Most other homeowners appeared to be professionals and retired people..thus it was quiet and conducive to rest and relaxation. The road is private so there are few cars passing through.
We were not far from area attractions..it's a short ride to Portland and the Old Port. There are numerous seafood and lobster restaurants nearby including a lobster place just down the road offering freshly steamed lobsters for pick up.
The cleaning woman was wonderful as was the handyman. Both were kind and helpful. The owner was a pleasure to work with. We would definitely return!
We had great property owner..she went out of her way to make our stay comfortable..had a chance to use both houses...area was wonderful..fabulous beach..
