Well appointed, fully furnished with dishes, linens, Internet and t.v. Also has a large multi purpose room. Also equipped with a washer and dryer.
Quiet, Exclusive Community: Kirkwood Circle is an exclusive beachfront community on Scarborough Beach. Residents have exclusive use of the white sandy beach that stretches for a mile or more by walking down a short private path. Swimmers find the surf mild enough for casual swimming but also lively enough for some body surfing.
The views are spectacular of neighboring islands and ocean rock formations and the Black Point area is fraught with remnants of the French & Indian War and the skirmishes that took place.
We had a wonderful time in Scarborough last month. The beach was just the best--I actually went swimming, which I haven't done in Maine for years as I'm a sissy when it comes to cold water!
I knew the general area of Maine where I wanted to vacation and finding this house was perfect. Not only is the location to the beach just right, but it offered the quiet, peace and low-key pace I was looking for.
The house was in fact larger than I needed, so we only used a portion of it. It was very comfortably furnished with a fully outfitted kitchen, lots of great sitting areas and plenty of outdoor spaces to utilize. I appreciated how clean it was - top to bottom. There was nothing lacking here. Clearly there is a lot of TLC in this place. We look forward to visiting again....
We had a fabulous time! Three generations combined to celebrate our son's graduation from the College of Pharmacy. There was plenty of room to visit and entertain, or to just relax in peace and quiet. The home is clean, well-cared-for, and beautifully appointed. Our host, Valerie, gave us great tips for a memorable lobster feast. The Neighbors were friendly, and the beach was spectacular! Everyone said they would love to return.
My family and I did a long week-end at 4 Atlantic Place last Fall. The grounds were very well taken care of and the house was immaculate. All of the amenities were in working order and extremely clean. I would never hesitate to rent this property again and have told many of my friends about it that may be looking to rent in the area.
My husband and I have stayed several times at both beach houses. It's a beautiful location on a private quiet road. Perfect place for a run, ride on bicycle, swim in the ocean or sun bath on the beach. The houses are just like being at home with everything you need and lots of space. They are well maintained from inside to outside landscape. The houses are always clean the staff and lever are wonderful to work with. There are several places near by for Maine lobster dinner! We love this location so much that my husband and I took our honeymoon at the beach house this last September. We will be back next year!
Driving up the private road into the beach house was very inviting.. As we got out of the car the smell of the ocean air and the beach pine trees was amazing. Walking into the house was exciting. It not only was extremely clean also the decor of the house was great. The house is laid out for everyone needs.. As we went out on the front porch drinking our coffee and fresh baked blueberry muffin from the family owned farm stand was delicious. We could see the waves rolling in and breaking onto the beach. As we walked a short path onto the beach we found shells, sea glass, driftwood, and the water was amazing.. At night it was so peaceful to sleep as the sound of the oceans waves would mesmerize us to sleep. The location is perfect ten minutes from shops and as you travel down route 77 the Portland Head Light is always a treat. My family and friends had such a wonderful time and would highly recommend it to anyone who truly would love a great place for a awesome vacation. Thank you Val for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home.. It was awesome!!!
Douglas and Cynthia Mattson 5 stars for us.
This house has access to the most amazing beach in Maine. Just steps away from the quiet end of Scarborough Beach. The house has everything you need - beach toys, kitchen equipment, comfortable beds and a view from the porch. The location is prefect as you feel miles away from reality but everything you need is within 10 minutes.
Prouts Neck is an exceptional destination. Located on an isthmus of land in Scarborough, Maine, it is the former home and inspiration for Winslow Homer, the famous American painter. The house from which he worked is located shortly up the road at Black Point.
The property is located in an exclusive beach community and is a stone's throw up a private pathway to Scarborough Beach. The white sands of the beach stretch for a mile or so and afford beachgoers ample scenery for art work or just a quiet and secluded place to enjoy the sun, surf and sand.
It is located about 15 minutes from the major city of Portland and the Old Seaport that houses a variety of gift shops, restaurants, especially seafood restaurants and is the departure terminal for The Bluenose Ferry as well as a variety of other ocean excursions.
For baseball fans you may also have the opportunity to watch the Portland Sea Dogs, a double A farm team for the Boston Red Sox.
