It is a gorgeous luxury new ski lodge with a heated covered garage; outdoor hot tub; a large common lodge area with a TV, and huge real fireplace. Great wifi throughout. Great discounted ski tickets and mountain bikes available!

Ski lockers! Gorgeous hot tub! Fireplace! full fully stocked kitchen. Washer and Dryer in the condo.

King-size master, with its own bathroom twins in two guest bedrooms - all top-of-the-line Simmons Beautyrest mattresses.Each room has its own bathroom.

So one king, 4 twins in all, plus (new!) King-size couch-sleeper in living room if you need it. Sleeps 8! TVs in all bedrooms, home theater system with surround sound in living room with VCR and DVD. CD and DVD library available for renters. Selection of games and puzzles. Jetted hot tub in master bath. Radiant in-floor heating keeps feet warm on cold days. Heated garage with assigned space.

This is a beautifully furnished, western themed, three-bedroom, three-bath condominium in one of Crested Butte's newest properties. Beautiful views down valley toward town of Crested Butte from a lovely porch! Porch has chairs to sit.

The bus to town stops at the corner on the side of the building, so really easy to come and go for the kids, without a car. For your car, there is covered, heated parking with extra guest spaces.

Spacious Condo, Great Location!

We stayed in this 3 bedroom condo over Labor Day Weekend and had a fantastic time! It was perfect for our family of 4 adults and 1 small child. We loved the location and beautiful views from the patio and even out the windows! The kitchen was well-stocked and beds were very comfortable. Our only complaint is that the condo could use a good deep cleaning. The furniture seemed quite dusty and the carpet had several very noticeable stains on it. Otherwise, we would definitely recommend this place.

in need of attention

The owner needs to know:

- the bed linens need to be replaced badly. In all bedrooms, they were terrible wrinkled and pilled and scratchy.

-There were about 4 dinner forks and a few salad forks, not a whole set of cutlery, really? It's cheap and it's readily available, why not have it in the kitchen? I think there was only one tea towel, might have been two, I'm not sure because I brought some of my own.

-The bath mats were not washed, they were matted and worn.

-No toiletries anywhere, glad we had our own, but I did have to write my daughter and ask her to bring soap.

-And as always with this building, the light was so bright in the front bedrooms (due to the powerful porch lights that light the public walk ways which are right outside the bedrooms) that we slept poorly.

-The carpets were so stained!

-The window in one bedroom wouldn't close all the way so you couldn't lock it, and the door to the deck would not lock. This is CB, but so much for security.

All that being said, the local contact housekeeper, Julie, was very very responsive and answered us immediately when we couldn't get the fire place to go off (needed batteries in the control). Robin also answered us promptly when we emailed. The damage deposit was held for 2 weeks. Other places return it in 2 days. I don't understand this since the housekeeper went into to check the place to get it ready for someone else right away. In fact the check out is earlier than we ever had elsewhere because of what they said was a rapid turn around. why do that?

There is virtually no dining space, the table faces a wall and is to small that only 4 can sit there, unless you move the table out and then it blocks the kitchen.

We won't use this unit again.

Owner's Response: Thankyou for saying that our housekeeper Juli and Robin our booking agent were so reponsive to you! We are fixing all the complaints that you have. At the end of the summer season, things can need to be replaced and they always are in the off season before winter. So... new bed linens, more cutlery and tea towels, bathmats and we are buying area rugs that are new, till we can replace the carpets. The condo is being completely repainted. The door to the deck is fine, tho tricky. The window is being repaired. 2 weeks is our standard refund time - homeaway offers one or 2 weeks. I just want to make sure that all issues are understood by both parties if there is a problem - 2 days would certainly not be enough for that and I have to pick before you come. Most 3 bedrooms have no separate dining space, as this condo has. I am surprised at your complaint as have never heard it in 10 years of renting this condo. Try another building - doesn't seem that Black Bear is for you! A 4 bedroom usually has more space to offer, and privacy.

Great property and location on mountain

This was a great condo for our family of 5. Easy access to shuttle route and short walk to base of mountain. We would love to stay here again!

Overall good

Enjoyed the proximity to the slopes, but please realize this is not what I would consider literally ski in ski out. Very convenient to go to West Wall lift, remove skis and walk across the street, or v.v. for the morning departure, so it's a very short walk to the condo. No car necessary though we had one to go into town (could have ridden free shuttle). Sleeping room for our family of 6. Manager responsive when we needed a dustpan delivered. We also like to have a kitchen and this was adequate, but could really benefit from a decent set of knives. We would stay here again.
