About Kristin Robinson and Lindsey Powell
Kris and Lindsey have been together for ten years, and they are both in love with St. John. We purchased Caribe Breeze in 2015, filmed House Hunters International, and we just bought Coral Bay Vista and just filmed a Caribbean house hunting show. We love life and live it to the fullest!

Why Kristin Robinson and Lindsey Powell chose Upper Carolina
We fell in love with this villa five years ago, and after several false starts, we finally bought it in 2018. If we had to design our own home, this would be it!

Charming Studio Style Villa Nestled into the Hills Above Coral Bay
My husband and I spent 12 nights at Coral Bay Vista the end of February, 2019. We chose Coral Bay because it is the quieter side of the island, about 25-30 minutes from Cruz Bay. When we arrived at Coral Bay we received a warm, friendly welcome from Roseanne, the property manager, who led us to the villa and then spent some time with us showing us where things were in the villa and telling us some about the island and island activities.
We found the Villa clean, nicely furnished and pretty much as the pictures show. It was the perfect size for the two of us. I found that the kitchen was well stocked with the cookware and utensils needed to prepare meals. We enjoyed grilling out and eating our meals on the deck overlooking Coral Bay.
The thing we enjoyed most about the Villa was the covered deck. It has a wonderful view and we spent most of our time there. It was so nice to come back after a morning of snorkeling or hiking in the sun and have a spot where you could relax in the shade in the afternoon.
The area around the villa is very quiet and peaceful, the trees and vegetation provide good privacy from any neighbors. Because the Villa is nestled into the hillside, there are stairs to get down to it. While the stairway is beautiful, made out of the same split stone and shells that you see in the outdoor shower photo, the 32 steps down to the villa could prove difficult for someone with knee problems.
As for Hurricane Irma damage, much has been done to repair the island, we even noticed some new infrastructure such as lighting on the road between Cruz and Coral Bay. The island continues to recover but it is still shows some stress from the storms. There are still homes with tarps covering the roofs, abandoned cars, damaged buildings that most likely are waiting to be torn down and areas of the island where the vegetation needs time to grow back. However, what you go there for - the beaches and the National Park, they have been cleaned up and are good to go. One exception is Cinnamon Bay, the beach is clean and accessible but restrooms etc., still need repair.
Overall, we found Coral Bay Vista a nice place to stay and had a great vacation on St. John.
